SS Forgotten Love Part 6:
***At 1:00 pm The Next Day***
"Farhan aur Najma lunch ke liye bahar jaar rahe hai. Aur mein aur Zeenat ek mutual friend ke party mein jaar rahe hai. Zoya's still a little weak toh tum uske saath ghar peh he roko gey. " Dilshaad instructed.
Asad smiled. This was the first time in months that he would finally be completely alone with Zoya.
Dilshaad chuckled seeing her son smile to himself.
"Make sure you don't tell her anything that could harm her health." she patted her son's head. "Main jaanthi hoon yeh sab tumare liye kitna mushkil hai lekin Khuda sab theek karthey ga. "
Only Dilshaad knew what her son had been going through ever since Zoya came back from the hospital. After all she also saw the love of her life go to someone else right in front of her. No matter how tough Asad protrayed to be, she could see right through him.
After the four left, Asad went to his room and tried to work on his laptop.
Should I go to talk to Zoya? Lekin main kaahonga kya? And what if I say something wrong and she faints again like last time? Asad pressed the bridge of his nose. All this Zoya stuff was stressing him out and he couldn't focus on anything except her.
Ok Asad focus. Yeh Mehta Inc. wali deal humare company ko bahaut fidha kar saak thi hai. Lekin humare toh Sharma Co. ki saath itne laambe partnership hai. Ya Allah kya karoon? Kisse chunoo…? He broke out of his thoughts when he got distracted by the only thing on his mind nowadays. Right when Asad was able to somewhat concentrate, in came Zoya.
"Good morning Asad!" she yawned.
Asad glanced at his watch.
"And a good afternoon to you too. Dupear ki ek baajra aur aap ki suba ho rahe hai? "
"Allah Miya what's wrong with you? Aap ko toh paatha hi hai ki mujhe soona kitna paasand hai! " Zoya groaned.
"Aap ko…" Asad opened his mouth to lecture her about 'tameez' and 'tehzeeb' but Zoya interrupted anyways.
"Yeah yeah I know. Nahi. Mujme tameez aur tehzeeb naam ki cheese hi nahi hai. And that's why I'm so carefree and living life to the fullest unlike some people. " She made a face at Asad.
"And anyways these things don't do anything except restrict you from living a life that you want to live. "
She went on and on and Asad smiled at her. It reminded him of how Zoya was when she first came to live in his house and how he fell in love with this personality of hers.
"Allah! Dekha aap ne kya kia? You made me forget why I even came here. " Asad playfully rolled his eyes while Zoya stood up and stuck her tongue out at him.
"I came here because I can't find anyone. Phoopi, Appi, aur Tamatar sab kaha hai?"
"Appi aur Ammi ek party main gaye hai aur Najma Farhan ki saath lunch peh gaye hai…"
Asad gasped as he realized what he just said.
Tamatar…Farhan ke saath…Ya Allah! Maine yeh kaise hone diya?! Zoya ki khealo mein ek din bilkul pagal ho jaonga. Main bas uske baare main sooch they rahonga aur waha Najma aur Farhan ka nikah bi ho jae ga! Asad shook his head to clear it of these thoughts.
"Hello? Mr. Asad Ahmed Khan? Aap meri baat soon tho rahe ho nah? " When Zoya realized he wasn't, she got frustrated and left the room.
"Mujhe kuch kaam hai." she said as she left.
Asad realized that Zoya was annoyed with him and he went to her room to pacify her, when he heard her saying something to herself.
"Khud ko kya saamaj they hai woh? Main toh bas ek machine hoon jo bolti hi jathi hai aur woh toh aapni khud ki dooniya main rahe they hai." Zoya mumbled to herself. "Mujhe be aap se baat karne ki koy zoorat nahi hai Asad. Kurliye joh karna. Jaaiey jiss dooniya main jaana. Mujhe kya."
Asad smiled and knocked on the door.
"Inta gussa? Ok ok I'm sorry. It's just that work's got me stressed out. " he lied. This time he watched what he said.
"Ab mill gaya time mujhe say baat karne ka? " she wouldn't let him off the hook that easily.
"Yes…I mean no…I mean…I'm sorry Zoya. Mujhe maaf kartho? Please? " He held his ears. If she was stubborn then so was he.
Zoya tried to ignore him but she just couldn't. She felt a strange pull towards Asad—one she couldn't explain.
Lekin aise kaise ho saak tha hai? Main toh Farhan say mahautbaat kar thi ho phir…why am I attracted to Asad?"Uhh Zoya? Ub tum khon se dooniya mein khoye wi ho? Please forgive me already! " Asad complained.
"Ok fine but whenever I say something you better listen! Uglie baar main nahi maaf karne wali. " Zoya grinned.
In between conversations, both decided that they were hungry and Asad ordered pizza, just for Zoya. After they were done, Asad sat on the couch with his laptop.
"Aap saare din kaam ker kay thaak they nahi kya? " She stood behind him and looked at his laptop. "Jab aap ka kaam hi itna boring hai thub koy kaise upne aap ko boring baane say baacha paega?. "
Asad tried to ignored her but she kept commenting on everything he did. Finally, frustrated he turned his laptop off.
"Ok Miss. Farooqui what do you suppose we do, since all this is sooo boring. " Asad asked Ben though he knew what was coming.
"Talk!" He groan; of course Zoya would say that.
"Toh umm main aapko mere and Farhan ki love story batha thi hoon. Theek hai nah? " Zoya squealed. She could tell that story over and over again and never get tired.
"NO! " Asad exclaimed. Blushing he said, "I mean Appi ne hum sab ko already batha diya hai. "
"Oh ok aur waise bhi guys don't like love stories right? " she added with a wink.
"Toh main aapko Farhan ke baare main…"
"Nahi! Uhh mera matlab hai ki hum kisi aur ki baare main baat kerthey hai. "
Zoya just stared at him like he was crazy. "Okkk…so I'm having a love marriage but what about you? Nikah karne ka koy irradha hai kya?"
"Haan hai nah, tumare saath. " Asad whispered to himself.
"What's that? I couldn't hear you. Aap kitne dhere bolthey hai. Speak up! "
"Uhh maine kaha kay koy special hai, jiske saath main nikah karne wala hoon. " He couldn't dare to look at her; he was scared he was going to cry any second.
"Oooh! Love marriage I see! Who is she? Kaise hai woh? Tell me everything! " Zoya said excitedly.
"Woh tum hi toh ho. " It slipped out of Asad's mouth before he even realized it. Apparently it hasn't gone unnoticed by Zoya. Her mouth was open and she didn't know what to think.
"Uh mera matlab hai ki woh tumare jaise hi hai. Carefree, full of life, always smiling. "
As Asad told Zoya more details, Zoya noticed Asad's engagement ring.
"Oh! Aap dono ki saagai be ho gaye? Wow! Nikah jaldi hi hogi hai nah?" She grabbed Asad's hand to get a closer look at his ring. "It needs polishing though. Main aur Farhan kaal rings magane jaar rahe hai. Aap aapni ring mujhe dee di jiay aur main isse kaal polish kar wadungi. "
While she was talking, Zoya held Asad's hand. She noticed when she was done talking and immediately took her hand away.
"Uhh toh aap mujhe aapni ring kaal dhay din nah. Mujhe…" she said as she ran to her room.
Zoya closed the door to her room and stood there for a while
Allah Miya what's wrong with me? Why did I feel that my hand belongs with Asad's hand? Mujhe yeh kya ho raha hai? Meri aur Farhan ki saagai be hone wali hai, woh be meri merzi say. Toh mujhe yeh galath kyu laag raha hai? Mera aur Asad ka kya connection hai?I know, I know it was horrible but it was also necessary for the story to move forward. I think there's going to be 1-2 more parts before the story ends. Sorry for all mistakes. I might update the next part in a while because I'm going to be out of the country, where there's barely any Internet. 'Til then comment and like pleaseee? pretty please? with a gulab jamun on top?
oh and I almost forgot! looks like CVs are taking all my ideas! first with Zoya's memory loss (except with Humaira) and then introduction of Farhan 😆
