Part II: I am jealous Ms. Farroukhi

Midnight:

Zoya walked in with a smile. She had such a good time and she did not want anyone to spoil her mood. But Fate had other plans. She tip-toed silently and bumped into a rock or table or so she thought. She turned on the lights to find a FUMING ASAD KHAN. 😡

A-Z: Ms. Farroukhi, is this the time to return home? Or should I be glad that you have returned home? Have we not had this discussion before? In my house, you follow my rules.

Z-A: Allah Miya, Mr. Khan, what is wrong with you? I had informed Phupi and Appi about it. Now, what is the problem? You always find a fault with me and in me. And Mr. Khan, in a few days it will be our house.

That being said, Zoya walked past Asad but he pulled her back. She stared and he stared back.

A-Z: Ms. Farroukhi, why did you not inform me? I am your fiance and to be husband and not Ammi and appi. You should have run it past me and I would have accompanied you for the errands. There was no need to take Danish.

Z-A: Mr. Khan, his name is Daniel. I would have informed you but do you have time? Your every free moment is spent with your Tannu. Tannu this, Tannu that, Tannu is sick, Tannu is well, Tannu, Tannu. On this note, I recite Shahjahan Aur Mumtaz, Heer aur Ranjha, Laila aur Manju hai pyar ki purani kahani, Mr. Khan aur unke Tannu hai nayi kahani.

Asad smiled. He moved close to Zoya and said "Jealous again, Ms. Farroukhi".

Zoya smiled back and said "No, Mr. Khan. Daniel is to me as Tannu is to you".

A-Z: Zoya, that is not true. Tannu and I are friends. But Daniel likes you more than a friend. There is a difference.

Z-A: Mr. Khan, are you sure about Tannu? I am sure that you treat as a friend but are you sure about her feelings??? Are you, Mr. Khan? With regards to Daniel's feelings, I am such a beautiful and warm person that men fall for me but I fell in love with an emotionally challenged person that is Y'...

Zoya bit her tongue. She has spoken too much and Asad gave her wicked grin. Zoya excused herself as she was exhausted and had a long day tomorrow. Asad stopped her and asked her the reason. Zoya responded that Daniel had organized a dance party for her. Also her other friends would also be in the country so she would late, very, very late.

She smiled at Asad and said "Mr. Khan, I am not asking but telling. I do not want you to scream at me again"

Asad fumed and pulled her into his arms and said "Zoya, no dance party with Daniel. I will not allow it"

Z-A: Mr. Khan, Why are you an antique? Phupi and Appai do not have a problem with it. So, then why do you?

A-Z: Ms. Farroukhi, a NO IS A NO. I mean it. No dancing and partying with Danish.

Z-A: Mr. Khan, I will. You do NOT let me interfere in your friendship with Tannu so please do not in mine. Danny is one of my best friends and I will not let you ruin it.

A-Z: Danny?? So from Daniel it is Danny.

Z-A (in a sweet tone): Yes, Mr. Khan. Tannu calls you Jammy and I call him Danny. Is it not cute?

Zoya walked past Asad and stepped into her room. She had tears in her eyes. Asad was furious and stomped into his. Asad thought about Zoya and the conversation. She was right that Tannu was taking up his free moments. Could it be that Tannu had deeper feelings? This made him uncomfortable. He was surprised at his reactions: He was upset with Zoya and her friendship with Daniel and uncomfortable around Tannu, his childhood friend. What was happening to him? Why were his thoughts on Zoya and Daniel.

Next morning: Breakfast table

Asad walked in to find Tannu setting the table. Asad had not slept a wink as he had constant nightmares about the dance party AND now he felt odd around Tannu. He could let his Zoya dance away with some man. She could and should dance with him. Zoya walked in all peppy and this irritated him more. Appi and Phupi were enquiring on her dress for tonight's party and she had decided on a black shirt and jeans.

Asad thought "THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL I AM LETTING HER DANCE WITH STRANGE MEN"

Late Evening:

Asad returned from work and Tannu tried to talk to him again. She tried to poison his mind against Zoya but Asad was not listening. Instead his eyes were focused on Zoya as she had entered the room. She looked hot in a black shirt and jeans. He could not take his eyes off her. He could not imagine her with another man. AND BAM, IT STRUCK HIM THAT HE ASAD AHMED KHAN WAS JEALOUS. He had to stop her.

A-Z: Ms. Farroukhi, before you leave could you please get me coffee?

Z-A: Mr. Khan, why not ask Tannu? She will be so happy to serve you coffee.

Tannu smiled and before she could offer

A-Z: Ms. Farroukhi, Tannu is not my fiance and to be wife, YOU ARE. So would you be kind enough to bring coffee for me or is that difficult?

Zoya was surprised but did not show it. She smiled as Asad walked into his room. Zoya brought him coffee and placed it on his table. Before she could leave, Asad pulled her into his arms.

Z-A: Mr. Khan, I have to leave now else I will get late. Please, Mr. Khan, let me go. Tannu will be waiting for you.

A-Z: She can wait and so can Danish. Ms. Farroukhi, I mean, Zoya, you cannot go for the party. I cannot accept it. Please Zoya, just stay at home.

Z-A: Mr. Khan, His name is Daniel. Why? Why do you want me to stay at home and watch you with your Tannu? You spend your time with her and you have no time for me. So, let me go. Danny will be waiting for me.

Asad tightened his grip on Zoya. He did not want to let go of her.

A-Z: Zoya, No is a No. I cannot and will not let you go. Please, do not go. I will not let you go.

Zoya (with tears): Asad Why? Why will you not let me be with Daniel? He must be waiting and I have to go.

Asad (angry): Zoya I will not let you as I am jealous. I cannot bear the thought of another man touching or dancing with you. Yes, Ms. Farroukhi, I am jealous. I am jealous.

Zoya and Asad just stared at one another.

(Out of the window, there were four pairs of eyes watching the scene unfold: Appi, Phupi, Gayatri and Daniel aka Damien (Gayatri's husband and Zoya brother). Gayatri's plan had succeeded.

All of them were smiling. Gayatri looked at the couple and her Zoya and promised God "I will ensure that anyone who hurts Zoya and her love Asad will not be spared. It is a promise").Tannu had met her match.
