HP in terms of content for kids at least didn't encourage to jump off a cliff.

The books itself was Oliver Twist/Huckleberry Finn with some magic and unexplained characterization. But if kids had to pick one I would rather they picked HP.

ROFL. I have always said, all of Twilight series would be 1/2 chapter in Harry Potter. Not even good enough to be Quirell's vampire rumors. ๐Ÿ˜†

Oh.. Harry Potter had a hell lot more meaning in it than Twilight did.. and nope.. I don't think they even belong to the same category of coins! ๐Ÿ˜†

Forgive me for making this HP vs Twilight but I need to clear this. Let me summarize why Harry Potter and Twilight are poles apart and shouldn't even be called similar.

Firstly - Female leads. Hermione doesn't kill herself when Ron leaves her. Bella tries to. Hermione remains a good friend and helps Harry through everything. Bella tricks Jacob into indirectly helping her kill herself. Hermione is the smartest witch of her age who uses her power to help the world. Bella is just a self pitying moron who can't see past Edward.

Secondly - Professor Snape and Jacob. Both didn't get the girl they wanted. Professor Snape, spent the rest of his life making up for his mistake by protecting the girl's son. Jacob, went for the girl's daughter instead!

Thirdly - Father figure. Harry had loadz! Be it Sirius, Dumbledore, Hagrid (to some extent) and Lupin. All of them gave him different advice and helped him gain strength and courage to fight Voldemort. Bella's father wanted her to hook up with Jacob when she was going through a trying time.

Fourth - Everything tied up in Harry Potter in the end. The horcruxes, the relationships, the bond of love. Everything was tied up knotted together and finished off with the big war that hooked the reader onto every single word! Twilight.. they were abotu to have a war.. they were about fight for what's right. Nearly there.. nearly there.. nearly there.. and...nothing! Abso-frikkin-lutely nothing! So anit-climatic!

Plus twilight - From her explanation about Vampires.. it was IMPOSSIBLE for Edward to be able to father a baby, let alone have a sexual intercourse with a woman.

That sums it up. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
