Shirin - Still seeking acceptance

Those who cannot disagree nicely, please to stay away! This post is just an observation. 😊

Although Shirin and Rashid's scene in today's episode looked almost unwanted, it did convey one message- Shirin as a wife is still seeking acceptance. Shirin may not be as naive as we think she is where her relationship with her husband is concerned. She knows she will always come second considering the circumstance and Rashid's confused dil (I am not justifying her past or present actions here). Hence she too, like Dilshad, has only her children for being able to find solace. Her fear, albeit ill-founded is not completely wrong. We cannot expect a character ridden with insecurities to display the same amount of strength that Dilshad's character possesses. Each time she asked for Rashid to hear her out today, I cringed for her as a woman.

All in all, while the women, however they maybe, have diametrically opposite views, their disjointed lives are a result of one man's kartoot. Rashid Ahmed Khan should have taken a stand either way all those years ago irrespective of the consequences.

PS - I know there would be no Qubool Hai if not for him painting the town red, but just saying 😳

Yes, her insecurity is her biggest weakness. Razia is using that to her advantage. She is a kind hearted woman but mislead!

She is kind hearted, no doubt, I feel she should be independent enough to take her decisions...

Yes, although I think it is time she started thinking on her own now. I hope she atleast gets a good looking Ayaan as a son next 😆

Agree, one can take only a certain amount of naivete as a character trait. She should start putting things together on her own now.

She does. Her life has always been made to be that of a protected upbringing. Ayaan as a character has a lot of gumption, more than that his father will ever possess. Hopefully, she will learn something from that.

Well said...
though i hate her for what she said, some part of me feels bad for her as a woman as she's being deceived by the only woman she trusts and also, because no matter she's a second wife, she still is a wife and she has never been able to see her husband love her the way she saw him love dilshaad!
its pretty sad because shirin herself is not a bad woman, shes just a naive, and a little slow woman who usually doesnt think from her own brain but think from what people feed her with

ive seen such women and i know such people do exist so i have some sympathies with this woman ! theres more to her character and i have been saying this since day 1 and i still stand by it even when everyone is hating on her! (though i am too for now but not completely) !

Agree with your comments. Shirin just needs to go through her own phase of self realization which may take some time to happen.
