She means business from anyone n everyone..and she can go to any extent to win her battles...be it putting her own daughter's life at stake. And true to her character...she could "see" what many other's couldn't. She could see the sparks between Asad and Zoya...she could figure out so easily, that these two love each other. Now, what she will do...that only she knows. But she must be aware that sending Zoya back to NY won't be easy at all now. She might come up with a big n a dangerous plan now!

Saved the best for the last! Coming to the "tigress" of the episode...Dilshad Khan!! 17 years of pain, sacrifices, loneliness, hardships...and they all accumulating inside her. Despite this, not once did the woman lose her cool...not a slight trace of pain n helplessness ever made it way on her face...the ever so confident, composed and graceful mother of two, Dilshad has been an epitome of strength, conviction and poise. Then what happened to her that she roared like a wounded tigress...and broke every barrier of self-control?? She did it...coz this time the attackwas on her "children". What Shireen, Raziya and Haseena said...till it was about her...whatever they said, "chodi hui aurat"..n all that...she stayed quiet. But as soon as Shireen crossed the line to reach her children...the bottled up emotions just bursted!!

Like she said, a wife can stay quiet and listen to every rubbish...but dare anyone mess with her kids...she can go to any extent! This is a universal fact...every mother would go to any extreme for her children..to protect them from all evil eyes..and Dilshad was no exception. Her children are her reason of existence...they mean the world to her...the define life for her. And giving them bad-duas, Shireen had completely lost it! She had entered the forbidden territory and here, Dilshad was ready with all her defense to protect her kids. And kids who...a son like ASAD??

Like I wrote about Dilshad is for Asad...its the vice versa case as well. Asad is Dilshad's pride...he is her pillar of strength..he is destiny's priceless gift to her, for everything it took away from the woman...he is the reward of her patience..he is her hope...he is her light. And Shireen had wished ill for him??

The soft spoken Dilshad roared like a tigress...her eyes spitting fire..her words hitting straight on the target like sharp arrows. Her words to Rashid...Raziya...Shireen...everything pent up inside her was on her tongue now...and rightly so!!

And she challenged them...that her "son" will get every happiness in life. He is already engaged...and he will get married in 10 days!! Dilshad talked, reacted and behaved just like Asad! Like mother, like son...right?!! Both can take everything on their own selves...but when it is about their family, then they know how to give an answer!

Asad din't interrupt her...even once. He let her speak...let her take out all what was inside her.

Dilshad challenged Rashid Khan n family..and walked off...her head straight high...holding the arm of her son..and walking with pride oozing from her otherwise hurt n shattered self. This walk was of a proud mom...who held her son's arm and left the venue..while other's could no nothig except watch them walk in glory!

I was relieved that Asad wasn't there when the three idiots (i.e. Shireen, Raziya n Haseena) were saying all sorts of pathetic things to Dilshad. Firstly, coz if Asad heard all that, he would have "kaccha chabao-fied" these three women...not that Dilshad was any less. Still...Asad's reaction would've been much much severe. And secondly, the reason Dilshad was insulted relates somewhere to Zoya. Had she not gone to Ayan's engagement n fed Humera those sweets...Shireen would have never confronted Dilshad like this. So, it was good that Asad wasn't there initially.

Coming to the precap...like I said in your previous post also, the ball does land in Dilshad's court. I have a feeling, Asad wouldn't say "yes" or "no" for marrying Zoya. He will let his Ammie decide...and her wish will be his command. Mommy dear.. I am quite hopeful that you will read Asad's unspoken words...and will take your decision in favor of the name that is written on his heart n soul. Tannu's smile...well, I don't know...to me it felt that she was trying to make herself noticed, after knowing that Dilshad would be happy to make Zoya her bahu (refering to the duppata things). Dilshad would select Zoya...but even if she doesn't...it'll be another test for Asad and Zoya. In the end...their love n destiny will ensure that these soulmates are united!! That ring on Zoya's finger stayed...thus, proving that lady luck is taking care of them in its own sweet way!

This is super long...and there are every chances that it is completely crap. But this is what good story telling...and exceptional performaces does to me! 😳

Life has thrown a challenge at him at every step...but the man faces it head-on...with utmost courage! However, all these things came with a package. The path on which he was treading...or forced to tread...he became an ideal son...and a perfect bro. But in the process, the man lost his own self somewhere. He closed n locked himself inside a shell...where no one was allowed to enter. Emotions, feelings...they were only meant for Ammie, Tamatar and Ayaan! Apart from these...what the heart did or said...he never paid heed to it...if it all it said anything!! He was happy n content this way. His strong n rational mind always knew how to win battles from the heart...if the heart ever tried to make its presence felt.

No one...not even Dilshad was allowed to enter into this shell. Whenever situation n circumstances demanded, she had to make a lot of efforts to break the layers n peep inside...and to bring him out of that shell. This also ONLY Dilshad could do n no one else.

Absolutely true. This is how Asad is and that is why cutting through him so difficult. He has lived his life like a one man army and he could do it only because he conditioned himself to a point where he has no weakness inside. Emotions only for Ammie, Tamaatar and Ayaan but even there , in water tight compartments. In a way, Asad prepared himself to fight life with his mind and valour - and that meant never listening to his heart, That's why he had said it once- Ishq se haseen hamaari zindagi.

But then...Zoya came in his life...and made her entry not just in his house...but also seaped in through the shell and reached his heart as well. This is maybe how the journey of soulmates is! No matter how many barriers are there...love knows how to make its way...and the same happened with these two also. They were completely opposite to each other...yet were similar. They were poles apart...yet very together. Their approach towards life was as different as chalk n cheese...still, their destination was and is the same.

With all their attempts to stay away from each other...destiny always brought them together. Reason---their hearts n souls were connected since the they have met...and this connection grew stronger n stronger on its own accord. Thus, any effort..by themsleves, or by circumstances, or by the evil eyes hovering over them... to go away from each other, brought them all the more close...till, destiny made them formally unite with the sacred ritual of "engagement".

So true. Like its a famous line in Yash Chopra's DTPH - Kitne door door ho unn donno ke raaste, mil jaate hain jo banne ek doosre ke waaste. From New York to Bhopal - we have often believed that Ghaffur was just an excuse on destiny's part. Zoe came to Bhopal for Asad and ever since she entered his life, she centered her life around him. And he around hers and that is how they have come to the point where they are engaged.

Its a new feeling...its a different world for them both! Zoya's heart is yearning for Asad's acceptance of this formal 'bond' between them. Its the only thought in her mind...its her only dream, and it is her reality! She can think of nothing else...nothing else matters to her now. Her heart just wants to hear that Asad 'means' this engagement in its true spirit, with all his heart n soul!

But is it this simple for Asad?? A big NO!! Asad ACCEPTS that he is engaged...its not that he fears commitment...its just that this "alien" feeling is playing havoc inside him...making him swing between his heart n mind. The heart says yes, the mind says no...the mind says no, the heart says yes. The only person who could help him in resolving this confusion, is Zoya herself. But the girl still hasn't figured out her own feelings. She has never "thought" with her mind what Asad means to her. His smile, his him being with her, his support, his anger, his irritation, his annoyance...they are the new description of her life now. But has she ever sought the answer from herself that WHY SO?! And in this consfusion..in the fear of losing him...she is driving the man to the edge. Someone like Asad, who is very reserved n a private person, does she really think he can be vocal n confess in such a way...in the presence of sooo many people? He is in the same boat as she is. Yes..those scenes were cute...but they increased Asad's confusion...increasing the battle between his heart n mind. And when he finally asked her...the girl just backed out! *uff*

Right. Because Zoe's mind has not faced her love for Asad , she is going bonkers and is driving Asad also bonkers. She knows that Asad takes a lifetime to process a feeling and he needs help in facing it. Still, she got what she wanted and Asad asked her indeed if she wants to marry him. But Zoe's own bipolarity came to the fore and she ran away fearing the intense emotions. *Facepalm*

Asad has lived the worst fear of losing Zoya...not once, not twice...but around four times. And the way he reacted everytime, starting from Mangalpur...till, the latest Tannu's attempt to kill Zoya...that must have cleared every confusion in his heart about his OWN feelings. Maybe, Zoya also needs something similar...the thought of Asad going away from her...that could trigger her to reason with herself about her feelings. As of now...Asad is filling every void in her life...and she is content with it this way.

Her lines..."ap ne jab se mujhey ye ring pehnai hai..tab se ap ye keh rahey hein ke woh sab drama tha..nakli tha. Ap ne mujh pe taras kha ke woh sub kuch kiya.." And Asad, who was looking towards her when she started speaking...lowered his eyes. He couldn't see her like this. Her questions, her words were unnerving him...his heart was melting with every word she spoke. He wanted to tell her that whatever he did..he meant it. But he couldn't!! He was like that...he is like that...and he will always remain like that.

Zoya continued...in her pleading n cracking voice.."please Mr. Khan..mujhey sach bataiye...kya koi aur wajah nahin thi aisa karney ki? Agar mein chali jati, ap ko koi farq nahin padhta? Ap nahin chahtey the ke mein yahan rukon. Please bataiye ke us sagai ka aur is ring ka koi aur matlab nahin tha...?"

As she asked him...the fear of her heart was sooo visible on her face. I felt, more than from Asad...she was trying to satisfy her own heart that Asad did not stop her only for the reason that he had pity for her...but he didn't let her go..coz he couldn't see her going away from his life. Usko farq padhta tha agar Zoya chali jaati...woh chahta tha ke Zoya ruk jaye...aur ye ring n engagement, iska matlab yahi hai that he is committed to her for life...and will remain so forever n ever!! She wanted to hear him say all this...but, for both of them it is like..."hazaron khwahishein aisi ke her khwahish pe dum nikley..".👏

Now, that you say it here, Ayeshoo, i think you are right about it. More than pushing Asad off the edge , it was about convincing and satisfying her own heart that Asad made her his fiancee because he loves her - that he will not abandon her like her father and he indeed is that shelter she seeks as a puppy in the rain.

Asad's heart was in a miserable state with all these questions. And he looked back in her eyes n asked her...a question, that he had asked her earlier also. When DB came n things went out of control..he asked her...in simple, direct words..."do you want to get engaged to me?" Zoya came with a prompt "ji", startling him..and her too..and just as this "yes" struck her mind, she added a "nahin" with the word. I wrote it then also, that had Zoya kept it to the "ji" only, Asad would've never denied getting engaged to her...giving her the lifelong commitment. Since she backed out (as per him)...he also told his mom that he would never go for a 'fake engagement'.

The same question again! This time, the scenario very much different...the intensity multiplied manifolds...the hearts already formally engaged with the ring in Zoya's finger. He asked her.."what do you want me to do? Kya ap chahti hein...ke ye sagai asli ban jaye..?" THIS is how this man loves! If she said yes...Asad would have every answer to Dilshad's questions.

CORRECT. Zoe has to say 'yes' just once and Asad will make her his for life. But she has backed out twice and i don't think its a very good sign. The second time he asked her this question, he had meant it and she too was struck for a moment. But she said 'no' because she herself has no faced the truth that she loves Asad.

With this...with the sincerity of his voice...his captivating gaze penetrating into her soul...Zoya's heart as if forgot to beat for a good few seconds. But then...who can knock sense into this girl's head? The words she was dying to hear from him...what her heart was yearning to hear...he framed it in a question for her...and she declined! A perfect example of stepping on the axe yourself, Ms. Faruqui?

For Asad... THIS was it!! Asad heard her refusal...and his 'mind' took the decision. He would NEVER EVER impose himself on the girl. THIS is his way of loving. He is a man of words! He is clear about his feelings...but maybe, Zoya confuses him at time. He has proved through his words and actions what she means to him...but he is not someone who can go for a "direct confession"...till he is sure what Zoya feels about him!

I have a feeling...this "no" again from Zoya would stop the man from answering Dilshad's question. If Zoya had given him even a slight signal...he would've never let his girl down. In his own words...he never backs out from his commitment...but if Zoya herself doesn't want it...then he would NEVER make a forceful or one-sided relationship with her. He already believes that love is not for him..and if he allows Zoya to come close to him...he might give her nothing else but pain. So, there...Zoya...sweetheart, you ruined it all your own self.

I too think that Asad will remember Zoe's 'no' when he is cornered by Dilshad on Monday and its the worst thing possible.

Oh, i loved Dilshie and her outburst . They deserved it and they deserved it every inch. Ripping Dilshie's character and Dilshie could steal deal with it - but her kids? NO WAY. Cursing Asad to misery and destruction? They all had it coming and Dilshie gave it to them. Asad is Dilshie's heartbeat and nobody gets away with harming Asad even in words.

Exactly. It does not matter who Dilshie chooses - Zoe or Tanveer, Its gonna be a test of love for Asad and Zoe , either ways.
