Part 2 :

In that moment Zoya hear his voice, his voice alone. Everything became silent, except for his resounding voice. She was stunned that he could actually say something like this, in fact, this was, she was sure, the closest thing to those three words she would ever get.

He saw the relief in her eyes and was shocked to see that she would let him off so easily.But no, before she could say anything he continued. Not today. Today he was going to let his heart speak, not just his mind.

He continued, 'Ever since you came to my house, it's been a home. Whether it was being a great friend to Najma or a daughter to Ammi ... even a friend to me.. without you we would not be where we are today. Ammi looks foward to every coming day, not just for her kids and her responsibility but you have shown her to laugh and value everyday. Najma has found a sister in you, you always help her and I know you too are very close. Whenever they are upset, you are more upset. You always put aside your grievances to support them. Even me... whenever I am in need of support or just someone to be there, you have always been there. We have grown so accustomed to you, how can you just leave us? We need you , Zoya. I will try not to snap at you, I'll try to be better but Please, mat jao, Zoya.' He stopped, his eyes glistening. If this didn't stop her then what would, he thought. He looked at her with expectant, tear filled eyes.

Zoya saw her Jahanpana go blurry as her tears crowded her eyes. She was so happy. Her joy knew no bounds. She nodded, unable to comprehend how Asad could say all this.

He gave her a half smile before leaning forward to get her bag.

'Come on, let's go home, Zoya'

'Wait, Mr Khan. How can we leave just like that. I think we should inform someone of the change of plans'

'You're right. How did i not think of that?'

'I have cancelled your ticket, but what are you going to do? Your visa is expiring tomorrow. Should i book a flight for tomorrow?' the woman at the counter enquired.

'Nahi, Zoya is not going anywhere' Asad answered firmly.

'But your visa.. you won't be able to stay, I'm afraid you won't' she replied and was about to confirm the ticket again before Asad stopped her.

'Nahi! She is not going anywhere. And the visa, you don't need to worry about that. Zoya and I are getting engaged'

Zoya's eyes nearly popped out of her head. Her mouth was in the shape of an O.

'Allah miyan!' she started but Asad give her a whack on her arm and a wink.. and she shut up.
