Arnav pushed Khushi of the first floor. If I remember correctly most of the IPK fans came after those scenes. It gained popularity after such a disgusting thing. Which in my opinion is in the same zip code as a slap.

We're merely seeing history repeating itself with QH.

Gul Khan is one weird woman.

She makes good looking people do disgusting things. Therein lies the problem.

The reason why people still watch her shows.

Alas.

I am so sorry to burst your bubble. From now on you really will not be able to enjoy the "romantic" scenes as much because whenever you will watch them...like Jayne and me you will see how horribly wrong it is. But the good news is that you can watch American tv shows and british tv shows (i love those). I could even recommend you some if you want. They generally are much better too...in terms or writing and acting and directing and the list goes on and on...especially BBC tv shows. Dont watch korean/taiwanese because they have the same concept as QH and IPK with female degradation.

Because of Nisha and Jayn i have just opened by eyes i wonder why have i been blinded for so long that i ignored what ever Asad did becasue all i cared about was spending all day on Youtube watching Asad and Zoya romantic scenes.

What the production house are doing is wrong this is just like them justifying women being slapped and being mentally tortured. I was so brainwashed that i almost through that Asad was a saint and how lucky would i been to have a man like him in my life. But now thinking about it a man who would insult me everyday and slap me when he is extremely angry.

First of, I am so very glad that we were able to reach at least one member on the forum who might not have previously thought this way.

Please continue to read more on such subjects, and educate yourself.

These things did not change at all.
Such a person feels 'in love' only when he feels in control of the situation.

That is why even after marriage he humiliated Khoushi by saying she was good only to cook and look after house-hold duties.
And even when she wanted to show him better, what did the CVs cook up? - A Mrs. India show?
Really?!😕

Such men are never comfortable to live with and are never truly in love.
To do that, one must always want the best for the other, and not think for them.
Something of which ASR and Mr. Khan are incapable.

Jayne I was just trying to make a point because I (mis)understood Nisha's stance on gays to be something she else.

Returning to the issue at hand...I echo both RC's and Jayne's sentiments. That, yes, most of us viewers take the story scene by scene and we practice selective amnesia because we want to get entertained by the good stuff shown and pretend like the bad stuff didn't happen. I know I do. It's not a case of the bad stuff becoming acceptable, for the most of us viewers. On the other hand, I fully agree to the idea that there is a subconscious effect on viewing such things repeatedly...it becomes acceptable and we don't even realize it. And most susceptible to this are young impressionable minds who haven't seen much else in life or on TV, who don't have much else to compare this behavior to.

And she is an American...not that Americans cant be wacko in the head but it makes me sad that this is what she got from being here. Perhaps its the difference in mentality. I lived in Mumbai for 12 years...I grew up there and even when I was little I was always very modern and liberal. I was always the one that said if he can do it then why cant I. But Gul seems to not have that mentality...she seems to have said he can do it, but I am too weak or stupid to do it.

Glad to note another member who may have not seen things this way.

You said it correctly...there is education, but no knowledge.

Which is what alarms me about the new crop of girls.
They are happily passing through gates thrown open by the dint of sweat and blood of their foremothers and all they want to do is close those gates and barricade themselves in a stronghold held by men.

yes, I agree I love zoya's character being all carefree and funny but in recent episodes hate how mean and rude Asad is being towards her in comparison to his attitude towards Tanveer, and miss the strong headed Zoya who never use to give in to Asad. Maybe this will lead them to express their love to each other soon. Guess we have to wait and see... 😉

yep I read it in an article recently. I think it was the one where she talks about muslims being marginalized in India. Apparently she has a hindu husband too...I didnt know at all.
