Jodi separation still earns high TRPS no matter how much it frustrates the viewer. So it is not surprising that Indian style dramas often rush to have their leads fall in love all in an effort to separate them, only to spend the bulk of the show figuring out how to bring them back together again. Take one current and top rated show that will remain nameless, a popular jodi (I personally never really cared for them as they did not do it for me) have been separated to the point that now it looks like they are unlikely to get back together again, Apparently the female lead is now "in love" with another man, despite the viewers constant venting of their frustrations on Indian-forum.

Separating a jodi typically happens AFTER a couple declare their love for each other. However, with QH, while there was a declaration of attraction, no love was confessed and whatever was disclosed was while the characters were intoxicated.

The separation track started with the arrival of Tanveer. While she is a bother for many viewers, it is not her arrival per se that irks the viewer but the dark shadow of misery that is slowly creeping up and that is the possibility that the Zoya-Ayaan jodi might actually happen. Many of us have tried to pretend that that this track was was a typo on the zeetv website or placed on the shelf by the CVs after leaning our distate for it, but each day the foreboding nightmare of this track comes closer the more we know Tanveer is here to stay.

We so anticipate this Zoya-Ayaan jodi as we do a root canal without anesthesia. More so, we do not know how far the writers want to go with this story line or for how long. We do not know which of the following scenarios they will chose - a) Ayaan just having a crush on Zoya and Zoya seeing only as a friend, b) Ayaan and Zoya both liking each other romantically, c) Ayaan and Zoya getting married - Ayaan in favor, Zoya reluctant, d)both getting married because they are in love with each other (that is in keeping with the Zee Synopsis that has yet to be changed), and e) the one we dread the most - both getting married and consummating the marriage🤢.

I think we could all handle the separation between Zoya and Asad and even the torment meted out to Zoya by Asad and Tanveer, but NOT with the idea that the she, Zoya, could end up with Ayaan even for a temporary period of time. Some viewers can handle him liking her and Asad mistaking it for love and sacrificing Zoya for him. However, I still feel that is a pretty cruel decision of Asad's as it shows his favor towards his brother and once again ignoring Zoya's love for him. How many times is this poor girl going to be made to suffer by Asad?

What do you think? Do you think the track is harder for you because of the risk of her ending with Ayaan? Please share if your angst really lies there more than anywhere else...

Love triumphing over trials and tribulations is definitely what sells... if the leads met, fell in love, married, and had a Happily Ever After, it would hardly make for the 'hook' no matter what other family politics or drama one threw into the mix.

The PH has had considerable success with its two previous shows with the 'only love' angle.
I believe they made a statement that QH was not a love story; rather it was a family drama. So far they have kept that up. The daily show gives roughly the same screen time to the two houses depicted in the show.

That there is an unrequited love story in the Siddiqui house does not get the audience all aflutter since no one really buys into the 'love/sexual tension' here. There is none. 😕

On the other hand, that same tension between Mr. Khan and Ms. Farouqui has been displayed quite well and the audience has bought it hook, line, and sinker.
I have said it before, and I repeat, that if the show had only Mr. Khan's house and had problems in another manner to the leads, people would still watch, but if it were reversed, with only the Siddiqui house and its politics, the PH would find few takers.

Barely two-shows old and the PH wants to change the formula with which it had success? Even Ekta Kapoor took over a decade and multiple shows to show 'different' (not really😕) shows.
The name of the game is money, and for the PH to take such a chance is rather risky.

Of all the options, then, I would say (c) (
c) Ayaan and Zoya getting married - Ayaan in favor, Zoya reluctant,) is most plausible since there is no way that the director can pull a rabbit out of his hat and showcase a scenario where Ms. Farouqui actually falls in love with the second son.
That character has been so established as irresponsible, immature, and not a patch on his elder bro in terms of looks (notwithstanding tweens who like his 'hawt' looks🤔) or chemistry with Ms. Farouqui that it would be laughable to try to depict this now.

I would like to note that the PH has showcased the female lead marrying one bro - falling for him in an arranged marriage setting - consummating the marriage, then being left pregnant and high and dry. Cue, the real male lead - the elder bro of the d*bag. (Previous show, Geet).
They have also shown male lead 'contract'🤔 marrying the female lead to 'save' his sister's marriage. (Previous show, IPKKND).

I only saw the promos for IPKKND, so I can say that of the five original promos outlining the story of the show, the PH faithfully followed almost all of them. There were some minor changes in terms of making one sister a real daughter versus an adoptive one, but otherwise the premise remained the same.

So any hopes that the synopsis on ZeeTv might change may be simply wishful thinking.

Based on Ms. Farouqui's recent remark to her BIL that her Visa is expiring soon, and the fact that she just helped the second son to keep Mr. Khan away from court, she can call in her favor and very well marry the second son... a 'contract' marriage for visa. 🤔

That Tunveer is there may only add impetus for Ms. Farouqui to leave Mr. Khan's home.

As for @ bold above, I think it is the heights of selfishness to think that one is going to 'sacrifice' (life, love, etc.) for the 'sake of another'.
I think love would entail letting the other person make their own decisions.

As it is, if Mr. Khan is shown going for Ms. Farouqui after finding out about Tunveer's duplicity (yet to be shown), it will simply make her the 'default' choice.

It would be unbearable if she ends up with Ayaan. I cant see it happening. It would be...🤢
Asad wont only be ignoring Zoya's love...He would be denying himself happiness also. But I wouldn't be surprised if he really does give up Zoya to make Ayaan happy. Which would just kill the show IMO.

I feel the same... I cannot digest the track of Ayaan n zoya together for whatever reasons it may be... They can build n develop a good friendship... N maybe they could be engaged n that's the limit... No marriage...

In all honesty, I don't mind the Ayaan and Zoya track...marriage is fine (w/o love) ...engagement is better (w/o love) ... I'll be done with this show if they consummate! 🤢 that's just disturbing to even think about!
...and we need drama, and I like separation tracks as long as the don't carry it out for the rest of the show! and hopefully no onee gets movie offers and decides to take never ending breaks! 😳

This track is hard to take for me for many reasons. a) I can't see Zoya all sad, alone and crying. b) Jammy-Tannu friendship is just not working for me. It seems so fake to me. c) I cannot take Ayaan-Zoya in any kinda romantic relationship. It's fine till friendship but no romantic angle will be tolerated from my side. I will be happy if their friendship makes Asad jealous but no sacrificing, marriage-divorce kinda shit, let alone consummation.

Will add more later if there are any:P

Edit: This track is painful and intense. I love it. Its hard for me to see Zoe crying but I can take it but it better not last for 166877897967465354667 months. & Asad better get a reality check by the end of this track.

Zoya ending up with Ayaan is a big no for me.It would be interesting to see devar bhabhi coming together to stop AAk from doing something stupid. For me they are already registered as devar bhabhi. Also I find Ayaan way too immature and young for zoya to like him at the least. After last week some seem to be ok with their bonding as zoya needs a shoulder to cry on and vent out.But for me I want to see zoya strong and handle herself well from the crisis..that is wht Zoya is and she is capable of that.I definitely don't like the idea of Zoya and Ayaan relationship other than crazy bhabhi and crazy devar torturing asad with their antics

I'm perfectly fine with Ayaan falling for Zoya- I actually look forward to how Asad will handle his love for Ayaan and his 'hate' for the guy who loves Zoya, Even a "contract/temporary" marriage that Zoya is serious about is perfectly okay but Zoya loving Ayaan or Ayya consummation will not be tolerated. The latter would be as tacky as Ayya sounds, knowing that Asad-Zoya are meant to end up together.

I'm all about letting the writers tell their story- because we have heard time and again (several times from you) that the CVs have worked on the storyline for months before QH got on air. I have fastened by seat belt and I'm ready for the ride they have planned to offer!
