Great analysis. But can I say a few things. To begin with , I agree on many points . Like I , too, see that Asad didnt see Zoya and so there was no question of his ignoring her. I also agree that anyone would be worried to death for a friend. However, I seriously dont think anyone would have such an overcome by emotion, eyes closed , 5 minute long hug. I again feel here that its not Asad, its the CVs trying to deliberately provoke us. Else, they unnecessarily cut short Asad's worry and angst about Zoya and his search for her. They also made a quick cut to the car. yes, they are very deliberately baiting us by showing a long, drawn out hug and caring scene between Asad and Tanveer while cutting short the Asya scene. Here, Zoya is not only feeling left out or ignored (Asad didnt see her at all, though she doesnt know that) but she is also probably heartbroken that this man has never shown this loving, tender care to her...atleast in her mind! he has cared for her in many scenes, but tlc in the typical sense hasnt been Zoya's lot from her Jahanpanah. Further, I agree that Asad could not have introduced her as his sweetheart. He , afterall , doesnt know that himself. But , he sounded a tad standoffish , unnecessarily, and distant. Again the CVs at play, to deliberately bait us. He didnt need to say dost ki rishtedaar hain. kuchh dinon ke liye hain. But what i didnt like, and fully realize again as a CV bait, is that he could have well finished his convo with Zoya and then gone to talk to Tanveer. He didnt need to abandon his unfinished convo with Zoya , esp when he saw her in a weepy state, and could have instead gone later to talk to Tanveer. He didnt need to leave this midway and tell Tanveer that he would gladly come and talk to her. That, I think , is a far greater slight than whatever way he introduced her.

Yeah guys, just enjoy the journey... if there were no twists and turns we would get just a telefilm!!!!
