Great analysis. But can I say a few things. To begin with , I agree on many points . Like I , too, see that Asad didnt see Zoya and so there was no question of his ignoring her. I also agree that anyone would be worried to death for a friend. However, I seriously dont think anyone would have such an overcome by emotion, eyes closed , 5 minute long hug. I again feel here that its not Asad, its the CVs trying to deliberately provoke us. Else, they unnecessarily cut short Asad's worry and angst about Zoya and his search for her. They also made a quick cut to the car. yes, they are very deliberately baiting us by showing a long, drawn out hug and caring scene between Asad and Tanveer while cutting short the Asya scene. Here, Zoya is not only feeling left out or ignored (Asad didnt see her at all, though she doesnt know that) but she is also probably heartbroken that this man has never shown this loving, tender care to her...atleast in her mind! he has cared for her in many scenes, but tlc in the typical sense hasnt been Zoya's lot from her Jahanpanah. Further, I agree that Asad could not have introduced her as his sweetheart. He , afterall , doesnt know that himself. But , he sounded a tad standoffish , unnecessarily, and distant. Again the CVs at play, to deliberately bait us. He didnt need to say dost ki rishtedaar hain. kuchh dinon ke liye hain. But what i didnt like, and fully realize again as a CV bait, is that he could have well finished his convo with Zoya and then gone to talk to Tanveer. He didnt need to abandon his unfinished convo with Zoya , esp when he saw her in a weepy state, and could have instead gone later to talk to Tanveer. He didnt need to leave this midway and tell Tanveer that he would gladly come and talk to her. That, I think , is a far greater slight than whatever way he introduced her.

Other things you say are true. This is necessary for Zoya and Asad both to clear out their thoughts. Zoya and Ayaan are an idiotic proposition. The Police man was right. Ayaan's anger is like a cloud that rains on Ayan himself. He is an inconsequential guy and can never be a serious contender, temp marriage or not. Tanveer may be a serious match for Asad, however, seeing that she fits his mindless bill , supposedly. But that wont be where the story will end. AsYa love each other. No doubts on that score. What they do about it is another story, which is in the hands of our dear Gul!

Completely agree... if there are no twists in the story line we will not be able to enjoy the lovers being together. It willl loose its charm... so all this so called twists and entry of parallel characters is to give the require emph! to the story line.

Me too want Tanveer to be a positive caracter and then Asad should still choose Zoya over the miss perfect. THAT would make it a unique story...

YUP!!! Asad hugged only his Mom and Sister (his life)... Tanveer was actually hugging Dilshad. But yes from Zoya's point of view she would feel left out 😭

Great Post!

I love how you have formed your perspective by choosing to focus on the positive nuggets of gold from scenes where it was very easy to go to the fear based conclusions especially when we are not seeing the outcomes we want (quickly enough anyway).

Re: your point on the pre-cap: - Completely agree with you. I would also rather see Asad choose Zoya on his own by recognition and acknowledgement of his true feelings and also by seeing the real Zoya and loving and accepting her exactly as she is and as she is not without having to be hit over his head with a 'Two by Four' like jealousy or even guilt (true remorse is fine)

Making a choice free and clear - that's empowering

p.s having said that the above, - still not fully sold on Tanveer yet - although I do agree she will indirectly or directly bring ASYA together
