You people are afraid the show will go off air? 😆

I think Laila made the post more for an awareness than to shut it off.

This is only my stance. Because i'm a woman.

Now would i feel so strongly if Zoya had slapped Asad? The answer is no. We all have a certain line that we don't like being crossed.

For me it is this.

You have an opinion. I have mine.

Peace.

Laila,

So now, if they take the ONLY WATCHABLE show off the air, we know you are the reason...

And if they show PROPER redemption, we know YOU ARE THE SOLE REASON.😆

Did you notice how he saw that band aid yesterday...that cut is there for a purpose. Might end with a band aid, might not.

How do you call it romanticising violence?
Do you think Zoya loved being slapped?
Do you think We all enjoyed watching her getting slapped?

😕 aap ko yeh kis angle se romantic lagaa? Please tell...

Never asked for a show to be removed - read the letter. For your answers to these questions, please do read the posts on this forum that have romanticized it. Apparently you did not read the post very well if you think that it is me who finds it romantic.

Actually, she should be and in fact by law (even in India) she can be. It's just that our police force laugh when men lodge complaints against their wives for domestic abuse...which is ridiculous because it does happen in a lot of households! In fact, parent's can be fined and/or arrested for slapping their children too. Raising your hand at any human being is wrong and shouldn't be portrayed as anything but wrong and that was the point of this entire thing. Nobody is insulting KSG, Surbhi or any of the actors who are just portraying characters! The point of the letter is just as simple as pointing out that on Indian telly we seem to like portray women as wall-flowers and dirt under men's feet...oh and then it's wrapped into a nice little romantic bow...which sometimes sends out the wrong message...and honestly why should a woman be portrayed like that?

I respect your opinion though and it's good that you voiced it 😊, You know I love ya! 😊

I didn't say that.

You're missing a point.

I said i wouldn't feel strongly not that i will be okay with it.

Violence is NOT okay.

Please tell me, who finds it romantic?

My dear, you don't need anything more to get the show off air. A rival channel can push it further, and before you know, in these tempestuous times, they'd have made a mountain out of a mole hill and the show will be closed down,. I hope you are aware of how the previous show from the same PH closed down.

I support...The letter is not against the show...it is not because they showed a man slapping a woman...it is because of how they dealt with it so lightly..like it didnt matter...and I hope this step will make writers of such shows stop this violence romanticizing against women.

I do - we all do. What was ruined? Did we ask the show to be pulled of the air? No. Did we ask for PH to be fined or reprimanded. No. And when the media does not work with us, we influence there too. And it is the myths perpetrated in your post is the reason why things have to change. And until these things are made criminal then people think twice about it. Blatant violence that is not justified and done by a positive character in a show does create problems. Moreover, when Mamu and Razia do wrong, these are negative characters and this is what is expected.

@red;
I din't get you here, are you against violence on women in general or violence on women by positive characters/people?? Because I guess violence is violence regardless of who does it, now its making me to think just because you expected a character as positive and when that character din't prove to be positive at one point, you got dejected and you call it violence? or really you call a spade a spade regardless who committed the act? i am just confused. For me as a viewer I was never made to think that Asad Ahmed Khan is complete positive character by the PH, he did have a lot of negative traits.
Regarding letter to BCCC, I would say good job👏 atleast by this the channel or IBF brings in some changes in TV shows, just a hope. Though I don't agree QH has really promoted any kind of violence on women, there are few shows which have done that to much extent, so hope your letter makes people realize that viewers also have brains and thoughts.
