If he continues to intimidate her with his anger and gestures, then she should walk away. Also, she needs to be upfront with him. Because she is scared of his temper, she hides things from him. There is no reason for her to be timid.

Seriously Bheegi - a cup of coffee is not enough. A genuine apology is more than a sorry...it is a realization of what a screwed up thing has been done. I can't see anyone wanting to be friends with someone who has constantly berated them and even threatened them. The slap was completely uncalled for and I find it very hard to fathom a friendship built with someone who demeans you this way...however, for the writers and for so many viewers, this slap is no big deal and even justified - and now this is being promoted as a misunderstanding? 😕The writers will never have Zoya walk away - they may have him apologize and before you know she trips, there is a mitwa moment and all is forgotten. I don't like that - it dumbs what has happened.

Quite a balanced take, bheegi.

I particularly liked your line It's human nature to react to stress in different ways. Some get angry, some cry, some panic, some internalize it and some hurt others.

It's a truth. Just like how the viewers took the slap incident, some are stoic, some are angry, some panicky, some hurting. Each to his own.

Nobody likes violence but personally I don't take this slap as a effrontery. It was not a face to face slap. It was more like a weak person trying to remove a obnoxious person from his sight. Kind of Go away.

I am sure Zoya would be able to strengthen him so that he can control his impulsive behaviour. Asad needs a mature person to handle him. Zoya will definitely rise to the occasion.

Yes, unfortunately indian tv dramas thrive on this kind of dysfunctional relationships. I think we all need to differentiate this reel life from reall life. Just enjoy it as an interesting story.

Asad is a flawed character and his biggest issue is his temperament. It all stems from his abandonment by his father in his formative years. He doesn't trust anyone and his first reaction to any disaster is his first defense- HIS ANGER.The PH has laid the foundation for his story very well here. Now, what we hope to see is growth in his character. Gradually, as he realizes the folly of his explosive temper, will he tone down a bit? Will he start listening to others? Will he think more rationally? Will he start trusting others?

Zoya, on the other hand has played her part in escalating his temper and distrust in general. She is supposedly a very brave and stoic girl but by staying silent and doing things behind his back, she just adds fuel to his fiery temperament. Once she becomes more fearless and confides in Asad upfront, I am sure he will learn to trust her and tone down his anger.

BRAVO! 👏I guess that says it all. Asad and Zoe - flawed human-beings but with flawless hearts. They are each-other's missing halves and when they realize it, they will be one soulful whole. I agree. Humdard bhi aur humsafar bhi.

Thanks jas. I highlighted that part you wrote...that's a good way of interpreting the slap. That's what I think. At that moment he could have kicked or punched anyone who tried to come near him ESP zoya because he feels she is responsible for this tragedy. He didn't consider her a woman at that time, but the culprit. Asad needs a reality check soon...hope zoya will hit it to him one day

Hey vicky. Good to 'see' you here. Yeah, that's what people need to realize. There is no need to idolize these characters and get hyper about their actions. They are flawed human beings but with time will change. But they need each other during this journey and that's what we, as the viewers, need to focus on...enjoy their journey.

'See'? Aap aisa kyun bol rahi ho?😲😆... I don't think Asad and Zoe were portrayed as white characters with no flaws. They are like you and me - they make mistakes but since they have a conscience and a pure heart, they rise above their faults and try to make amends for whatever they faltered at. They both have been portrayed as soulmates during the meteor shower scene for a reason - they are meant to complete each-other and heal each-other. That is what a soulmate is all about. Hai na?🤔

For me without any doubt the most catch and interesting character is Asad.We cant predict what is he going to do next. He has wits with looks. The character has many shades and I dont think justa slap should ruin his image. His past is the biggest trauma of his life. He had built walls around him. And I dont expect him to fall in love soon. For me Asad is a brilliant subject and I m sure viewers are enjoying seeing different sides of him^^
