All T.V. shows are famous for their bloopers but something so uncalled for they would show. As has clutched Z's throat, thrown a phone at her or pretty darn close to her, pushed her against the wall, pointed a gun at her and of course twisted her arm several times. I kind of saw all that in name of plot and character development but did they have to show physical violence. I would have respected A and the CVs more if they had shown him controlling his slap last minute and breaking things all around her instead

And if the idea was to anger the people watching the violence and think it was wrong well then heck yeah A was wrong towards Z big time. 😲 But I don't think that is what the CVs were thinking.

For me its not about Asad regretting it later!
The fact is it is WRONG to glorify such things on tv! We have people defending him saying he was in rage, all upset, but that doesn't change the fact you are not allowed to bloody hit a woman like that!

Terribly disappointed by QH writers today!

Asad is shown to be a male chauvinist earlier and this is just the broader picture of it. He has to reform himself and I guess they are showing the grey side of him. I am happy that CVs are not making a hero larger than life character or a super human being, they have shown how a dominant male behaves in the male dominated society of ours and I am sure they will soon show how wrong he is! I really want Asad to pay heavy for this, apologizing is no way closer to it!

you know i started watching this show from the mahasangam episode. I was impressed that they would deal with serious and topical issues like khap panchayats and attitudes to rape survivors...

Zoya's zero-tolerance for regressive attitudes was such a refreshing change to watch!

But the "hero"?
What with this slap and his seriously regressive attitude toward women in the name of "respect" and "tradition" - women should walk with their eyes lowered, not talk back to men, not wear clothes that will provoke men into harassing them etc...wishing Zoya will find a man who will "clip her wings" 😕

i really don;t know what this show is about anymore...

Couldn't agree more. This show has crossed it's line. Granted that Asad's character is supposed to be sexist, and Zoya the feminist-- contrasting and constantly clashing characters-- we get it. But to stoop to the level of showing violence (for someone you might have potential feelings for) is stooping too low in the name of entertainment.

I can actually see no explanation for this action. For someone who's brought up by a single mom, and has tremendous respect for her, this is very uncharacteristic.

Wonder what will be the redeeming quality for Asad's character. If he doesn't apologize for this behavior and beats the shit out of his own hand and if Zoya takes it all by weeping, I will call this show another sexist male-dominant Indian serial and quit watching. Even if KSG does such a wonderful job.

abuse-apology-abuse-apology...

it's never ending.

More than the actual slap the thing that bothers me is what you have highlighted. Abuse-Apology is exactly what abusive husbands conform to and it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I personally believe, no matter what the provocation no human being should lay a hand on another (regardless of gender). it is uncalled for!

Honestly, I want Zoya to make him pay but then again I know that's not going to happen. :/

This is more like black than gray...no offense meant to you of course. It is NOT okay to hit a woman or a child and it is NOT okay to show it. The good thing is that we all feel the same. And only As gives her a pint of his blood every day to Z for the next year would I overlook something like this!!
