Dude, because of Zoya nonsense his mother is fighting for her life, so what else did you expect him to do? I do not justify violence but at the same time indivudals no matter how mahan they are will react exactly the same way Asad did today! Zoya tried to help the girl, but she also knew she was bringing toruble into someone's house, and did not feel the need to share that very information!..
Khair both were wrong! But the slap from my POV was realistic! Please dont start stating am supporting violence, because at the end of the day, placing ourselves in his shoes, in REALITY, we do not know how we would react, but my money will be on the way Asad reacted!#Would your reaction be the same if Zoya had slapped Asad? People need to stop this whole gender thing!.. Our reaction should be based on the circumstances we see before us, and again (i know am repeating myself but) in reality anyone in his shoes would have reacted the same way! believe it or not! I know I would have!MY POV! Which obviously you wont agree with! But thats cool, each to its own😊

yup! this is my first 4lions show. A friend of mine did warn me, but, I got attracted by the seemingly progressive attitudes and esp. by the heroine...I have to say no serial has disappointed me this quickly! So way to go! 👏

This is not the first time male lead has slapped female on TV. Why are you looking at it this way? It was all spontaneous. His mother means a lot to him. She is battling for life so what would be his reaction? the fear of losing someone you love the most does push you to react this way. I don't think its not justified. just put yourself in his position and then you will feel it was inevitable.

@Mira: To be honest, I have been watching QH as a guilty pleasure because I have learned the hard way not to get too invested in the shows this PH makes. They always start out with excellent intentions and are good at characterisation but it is almost like they are afraid to break the mould of what has always gotten them their numbers and become their trademark: the high-voltage, opposites attract, Mills & Boon type romance. Usually it is an ultra-modern guy with a village belle, but here Zoya is progressive so they automatically had to make Asad regressive... which is really their same old formula turned upside down. 😉
@Rin: Yeah, I feel sorry about this show because like all of their shows it had a fantastic beginning. The characters are really interesting and it looked like they were going to do something different with them but I guess we are back to square one! 😛
This is a show not reality that we all to be fair and see both the sides of the story. This is a show, shot on camera with written lines and conceived plots on paper. So as a director or creative I can very well control what I want to show. And as a woman and an educated one who I'm sure is very self respecting of herself and her needs I think it is irresponsible to show these kind of scenes which only support violence rather than condemn it. They should have simply not shown the slap, hit the wall near Z or if Z she tries to put a hand on his shoulder push her away. But forA to slap Z even if in reflex then show no immediate contrition does not bode well for a main lead/hero character which we all know he is. Believe me when I say I write intense scenes between my leads but I would never allow a main character of my books to cross a line. Fiction can be manipulated and as a creative I do that in my books to reflect my thoughts and assumptions. This is not a tirade I promise you just a putting forth of why entertainment needs to be more responsible.😊

No, it is not natural nor is it human - it is completely barbaric, wrong and an inappropriate use of physical strength to get your point across. A real man does not need to reduce himself to this level to get his point across.

I am not justifying his slap.. but i will justify the slap.. because it was meant to convey that he was a male chauvinistic ***.
asad had asked zoya for confirmation that mariyam had left his house, and she gave it. he had clearly told her the reason he wanted maryam gone, to protect his family. .. and zoya agreed with him.. later, he saw mariyam in the house and his mom shot.. he slapped her for lying to him, breaking his trust... he never considered for a moment that there might be another explanation. that makes him an MCP.
