His character is not all white in this show so I don't think it will spoil his character per say but as a viewer I will lose some respect for asad. He is equally at fault here. Why didn't he report Dilawar mama and sarpanch to the police after coming back from mangalpur? Dilawar mama has threatened asad a few times afterwards, but asad has not taken any legal action against him. Indirectly, he has put his family in danger. Yes, zoya has played her part too but asad cannot be absolved of the guilt. Of course, we are assuming that Dilawar is responsible for the gunman. I think the gunman has nothing to do with Dilawar but asad will assume so.

Showing violence against women, and that too by the male protagonist is not my cup of tea although I know a lot of people like the hero being aggressive against the heroine. I have even seen serials when the hero raped the heroine and a lot of people 'liked' that.

Slapping is violence, no matter who does it be it a man or a women it's wrong either way. However, people show more outrage towards a man slapping a women because he is physically stronger therefore has more chance of doing actual harm than when a women hits a man. Coming to Asad hitting Zoya, I actually can't believe it - Asad who is supposed to respect women hitting them? I don't know something doesn't sound right there, I mean I'll understand if he does hit her, from where he's standing the only thing he can see is Zoya being responsible for Dilshad's injury but I don't think he'll actually hit her, maybe he'll raise his hand to strike but he won't go through with it.

I just watch the SBS episode for today n i think it was a misrepresentation, that scene was not from Qubool Hai it was form Hitler Didi in which Rishi slap zara because she was trying to set indra on fire, i don't know why she add that to qubool hai. i think it was just to rile us up, but not cool, not cool at all.😡😡
