reason will be his mother here

i dont know ya, am wondering whether the mother vs. a girl he feels strongly about... if their respective murders evoke diff. reactions from him it would be strange... loss and that too through killing is the same and the feeling towards a person who might be indirectly responsible vs. the person who did it cannot be so diff.

Why didn't he report Dilawar mama and sarpanch to the police after coming back from mangalpur? Dilawar mama has threatened asad a few times afterwards, but asad has not taken any legal action against him. Indirectly, he has put his family in danger. Yes, zoya has played her part too but asad cannot be absolved of the guilt. Of course, we are assuming that Dilawar is responsible for the gunman. I think the gunman has nothing to do with Dilawar but asad will assume so.
Showing violence against women, and that too by the male protagonist is not my cup of tea although I know a lot of people like the hero being aggressive against the heroine. I have even seen serials when the hero raped the heroine and a lot of people 'liked' that.

In red above... that is a very good point... noone seems to have picked that up! What honour was he expecting from his Mama, someone who didnt hesitate to try and kill off his own daughter?

omggg but then if a person thinks his mother is dying coz of this girl then obviously he would slap or kill her..

i mean generally its obvious reaction from a son in pain of loosing his mother

i think that would be unfair to Asad's character

according to the plot Asad realized his feelings for Zoya only after he realized that she is going to die and not when they were digging the ground to burry her( though I din't like it much and not yet convinced about it, so I said according to the plot). So when he realized his feelings, and thought Zoya is no more, mamu wasn't infront of him, he would have killed him if he was there right at that moment! Thats a impulsive act but he encountered mamu after 1 or 2 days then the impulsive behavior can't be expected as the intensity of the feelings would have calmed down a little but here Zoya is right infront of him when he finds his ammi shot down, so reacts impulsively. Anyhow I still feel Asad won't do it and SBS is wrong somewhere.

I too agree with this point and that is why I don't hold Zoya as the sole responsible for this whole fiasco. Both are partners in crime😉
