Basically, as a viewer, it has been very hard to decipher Zoya's status. But given that we know the storyline a little, I do think Zoya is going to fully fall in love with him during the course of her marriage/contract with him (IF such a track happens).

Edit to add: I tend to take a cue from the background songs they use. During their return from mangalpur in the tractor when they played 'adhoori kahani' I was starting to think that Zoya does feel a little something deeper for Asad.

I can definitely agree with you on the idea of a crush but beyond that nothing else...she definitely is intrigued by him but in love...not yet. I agree with you on that part...Zoya is simply coming across more and more as a silly girl rather than a mature, educated young woman. It is disappointing as she can still be funny without being fickle and irresponsible.

I try to take it from the songs as well - the song could apply to both of them...but for Zoya to be in love? Definitely shocked that Asad cares for her, but for her to be in love? That's not evident.

Just a quick response to all those who have read the post and liked it. Thank you. I am very touched and honored that you find it one of interest and one of a good healthy discussion.

From the posts, most of you are in agreement that Zoya has yet to show any signs of love for Asad. Some of said she might have a crush, an admiration, a desire for his respect, a fancy for his six-packs, and a desire to engage in a civil manner with him.

Many of us want to see that love develop...we just don't want her to suddenly realize she is in love without just cause for it to happen. Asad has to do something that would make her fall in love and the first step is for him to treat her with respect and dignity and that has yet to happen. Although that would help if she wouldn't do immature and silly things such as risking her life and that of the family by hiding Mariyam in the house.

Even though Zoya does not seem to be in love with Asad, it is clear that she is affected by him. She is not indifferent to him. His harsh words sting her and reduce her to tears. She is affected by his pain - moved enough to make a haldi ka lep for him, for which she had to get the recipe off the net. She is moved enough to try and heal his wounds. There just hasn't been enough opportunity for her to feel/show her feelings for Asad. She is sensitive to him, but has no idea of the depth of her feelings, YET.

I agree with you. I am yet to see any evidence of Zoya liking or having feelings for Asad. All she exhibits is fear... she is really scared of him & wants to stay away from his path.
Also if you see Asad got chance to understand that his feelings towards her is changing when he almost lost her in mangalpur. That kind of shook him but Zoya is yet to experience any such incident. If she finds asad's life in danger then she too might feel different towards him.
Right now all I can see is Asad is matured while Zoya acts childish most of the time.So she needs to grow up a bit.

Laila, I think Zoya has not got the opportunity to introspect her heart. She did not see Asad in near death condition! Asad has gone through the experience and has realized it. I am sure the day he lets her have a glimpse of his actual feelings, his caring side to her, she will start her realization. It will be quite intersting how the creatives go about it.

asad knew hes attracted to her buh during that gav thingi he got to know how much strong were the feelings coz he felt the pain of loosing her for foreva

m sure she will realize her feelings very soon

u neva realize how much somone meant to u unless u feel how would it feel if u would have lost the person

u cant imagine ur life without them

u wont realize when dey r in ur life.

buh m sure eventually gul will shwo her feelings as well

We will have to agree to disagree here. Of course it was awkward to have walked in on him, she was definitely uncomfortable with situation but she laughed it off. Your send comment is really your personal observation of how you see Zoya rather than a fact. Two people getting lovey dovey does not have to involve a hug or kiss for the observers to feel awkward. I am not alone here regarding this perspective.

It is not about who is in the majority. It is not what you or I feel.

It is what Gul is trying to show.

When you watch Gul's shows, please keep in mind that EVERYTHING IS SUBTLE.

You will NOT get monologues and soliloquy. Everything is shown through the actor's eyes. I am not the only one who feels there is dormant feelings, and you know that. I respect your opinion totally.

All I am trying to tell you is, don't judge a scene based on one or two watches. Sometimes, when you go back to scene retrospectively, things will start making sense.

And it is important to see the show through the maker's eyes.

If this is the first show from the PH you are watching, you might understand LATER, what I am trying to tell you here- you will start feeling you are watching nonsense, when there will be very few others who have patiently seen the story unfolding. That is the beauty of Gul's story telling and the team's direction.

Laila, I think the PH house is purposely hiding zoya's feelings right now. I think they want to introduce the Ayaan- triangle first befo they reveal what zoya is really thinking

I am sure we will finally find out that zoya has always loved asad. She can hide her true feelings by masking them with goofy behavior and that's what's happening right now.
