I feel u are writing it with a comic touch..

that serious Asad who gets irritated on seeing Zoya, is kinda missing here..

Yeah, it's my interpretation but who says Asad mian doesn't have a sense of humor. Maybe he hides it like everything else. Last week we have seen a few glimpses of his sense of humor😉

And he gets irritated on the outside...we really don't know what goes on his mind, do we?

thanks ras...i know i am going at a snail's pace but hopefully will catch up with the current track.

Also, we have seen more glimpses into his heart in the serial after Mangalpur incident but we really don't know what he thought in the early episodes...that's what I am imagining here

Hi Bheegi, how are you! What I'm really liking here is that you're giving us more in depth insight into Asad's most inner thoughts...what he would want his life partner to be like, someone just like his mother...which is something we have picked up on in the show but here you are letting us paint the bigger picture through Asad's narration of his outlook on life, his beliefs, principles, his traditional way of thinking through which we are getting to sense the male chauvinist in him too and we all know whether we like it or not that Asad has this slight male chauvinism in him to a certain extent, certainly not in masses just surfacing somewhere underneath it all.
I also really like the way you've embellished humour into your writing to give us this humorous side to Asad too, and we've all seen of late that Mr Khan does have a sense of humour too underneath all that hard stern exterior, even if it is not to his knowledge we all know that he can be quite a funny man!
Asad reminiscing and thinking all these normal everyday things like any man would, like getting married one day, plans for the future etc...etc... were all triggered off by Zoya's entry... nice subtle touch by you for putting that in as these small things which we don't really pay attention to when watching the show but when reading really do make a difference for the visuals of us reader's and it just goes to show that you as a writer have alot of sincerety for your work.
Thanks for the fab update!Really am enjoying reading Asad's pov as we're getting to know what could be really going on in that head of his as he is one complex character, it's not easy to read him and not all will be perceiving him in the same way as he is being interpreted to us individuals in various ways, causing the need for debates/discussions on his character analysis as not all would agree on the same.
Great job Bheegi...keep it up!👏

Bheegi... Firstly, thanks for the PM 😳

Loved how you started this update. It amazed me how perfectly his co-ordinated, orderly thoughts gelled with the epic disarray he encountered in the kitchen. Your words and the mental pictures it conjured up in my mind flowed so smoothly. I read the first para once and went back and read it again. That's how flawlessly coherent it was 👏

I love the comic touches. Strike that. I adore them. It makes Khan sahab come across as a closet softee, who is in some way very frustrated that Zoya bibi is making him write checklists in his mind. I always suspected Asad had a wry, very incisive sense of humor and I'm glad that your interpretation is bringing that to the fore. Also Asad's regard for Zoya-Dilshad's equation was very well done too. These aspects are far too nuanced, in my opinion to have come through in the show but, your writing makes it explicitly clear that Asad isn't beyond seeing goodness even in messiness. And that Dilshad is his compass. His Ammi is both his backbone and his cornerstone and if Dilshad blesses Zoya, his heart too ends up unwittingly giving her brownie points for that gesture.

I am steadily becoming a fan of your writing style, the coherent & concise way you put across the situations we have previously visualised, yet you make it your own. I love the way you naturally insert the Dargah reminiscences. That image of Zoya has been ingrained indelibly into Asad's mind and conscience and bechara's dilemma is that he is unable to reconcile that heartstopping image with the tufaan currently sweeping across his house and his life.

He would have preferred that ethereal vision to the actual person, and off-the-cuff that might be hard to digest, but unlike the show, you close the loopholes and let your readers know why exactly that is - his betrayal by Rashid and the fact that he is looking for his Ammi in his future wife. As always, your sentences are replete with irony and rich in interpretations. I also appreciate that your writing is not rigid and leaves some room for flexibility on the part of the reader, that is, your interpretations allows for other interpretations as well, to be conducted simultaneously while reading. At least that is what I do! I read your updates then I go and view the episodes in question again and I gain a new appreciation for it =)

I am running out of superlatives, that is how great this is going. Eagerly awaiting Part Four! 😳
