The man holding Zoya pushed her roughly towards where Asad lay on the ground. "Look at him as he dies before your eyes. He deserves this much as you're the reason he's in this situation, in the first place". She stumbled forwards and she ran towards him.
"Asad" he choked out, and ran her hands over his bloodied face.
"Zoya" he murmured.
"Asad, please. Don't die. Please, I'm begging you. I love you, Asad. I love you. Please" she said, her voice breaking with every word. Asad didn't say anything. He just looked at her till he could no longer manage to keep his eyes open. Asad's eyelids fluttered shut as the darkness engulfed him.
The sounds of Zoya's sobs were suddenly shattered by the loud wailing of sirens and horns, right from outside the warehouse and suddenly there was mayhem all around. The men who were left, after the fight ran out, while her kidnapper grabbed her arm and made her stand up, locking his arm around her neck so that she could hardly breathe. Once again, she felt the gun at her temple and this time, the man seemed determined to finish her off.
"Everybody, back off!" he screamed as Asad's and Ayaan's families rushed inside. Phuphi, Najma, Ayaan's father, Nikhat and her own father, everyone had come for them, along with a dozen policemen. The kidnapper pushed the gun harder against her skull.
"One more step forward and she dies. Nobody moves."
"Let her go and we'll let you live" the inspector said, not daring to move towards them.
"You think I'm afraid of dying? I already knew I was dead the moment this man walked in" he said, pointing towards Asad. Phupi screamed when she saw her son lying motionless on the ground. Ayaan, Najma and the others were about to run to him when Zoya's kidnapper warned them off again.
"That guy is dead. There's no use going over to him, now. If you don't want to see another dead body, you all will move out of the way while I leave with this girl. But let me tell you, you have one crazy family." He said, looking over to where Zoya's father stood, dumbfounded and shocked that his daughter was still alive. "You paid me to kill her and I ended up killing someone else. He's not even her to-be husband. In fact, he's nobody. Why was he here to save her any-"
His sentence was cut short as he was hit from behind and Zoya flew out of his arms. Everyone gasped as Zoya turned around to find Asad standing over the man with an iron rod covered in his own blood. Asad stood tall above the man, his face contorted with a rage so intense that it could be mistaken for bloodlust. He threw the rod away and picked up the man by his collar and punched him.
"You want to know why I saved her?" he bellowed, punching him again. "I saved her because I LOVE HER! PYAAR KARTA HOON MAIN ZOYA SE! I LOVE HER! I SAVED HER BECAUSE I LOVE HER! I LOVE HER!" he screamed again and again, punctuating his words with punches which threatened to kill the man. "PYAAR HAI MUJHE! ZOYA SE PYAAR HAI! I LOVE HER! PYAAR KARTA HOON MAIN ZOYA SE! PYAAR KARTA HOON!" Zoya ran forward and caught him by the shoulder.
"Asad!" she cried "let him go! The police is here. They'll deal with him!" But he didn't hear her and pushed her away as he pounced on the man again.
"HOW DARE YOU TOUCH HER? HOW DARE YOU THREATEN TO KILL MY ZOYA? She's MINE! And I'm NEVER going to let anything happen to her! I LOVE HER, DO YOU UNDERSTAND? I LOVE HER!"
Zoya now grabbed him by the waist and struggled to pull him away from the man who looked as good as dead. She called out for help and a couple of policemen came to her rescue and dragged him back, as the rest of the family stood watching them in shock.
"AAARRRGGGHHH!!!" Asad screamed in rage, struggling to get back to whacking the living daylights out of Zoya's kidnapper.
"Asad, please!" Zoya cried. "It's over! Let him go! Asad, leave him!" Finally she broke through his mad rage and he looked at her, chest heaving and his eyes telling her everything she'd wanted to hear ever since her marriage had been fixed. Without a word, Asad pulled her to him and hugged her, like he'd never let go.
"I love you, Zoya" he said, holding on to her as if his life depended on it. "I love you and I'm never letting you go. I love you".
"I love you too, Asad. Don't ever leave me again. I love you." Zoya replied, barely managing to get the words out between his tight grip and her own tear-clogged throat.
There, at that moment, awareness dawned on Asad. Zoya was his life. She filled him up with energy and happiness and he needed her like one needed air. He could live with the fact that Zoya was safe somewhere, breathing and leading her own life, even though she was married to someone else. But what he couldn't bear, was the thought of her leaving him forever, going so far away that he could never get her back, no matter how hard he tried. And he knew why he felt that way. Everything he'd been facing for the past three months became crystal-clear to him. Every emotional turmoil, every feeling, every tear made sense to him now. He loved Zoya. He loved her more than he could ever love anyone else. Zoya was his and no one could take her away from him.
If this part made you go back to the scene where Asad beats up the taklu inspector, and watch it while imagining him screaming what i wrote above, then my job is done.. 😛 the whole point of this SS was to recreate the same scene, with Asad fighting for Zoya, instead of Ayaan... 😃
A couple of parts more to go, before I end this so likes and comments please!! 😳
P.S- im doing individual PMs so please comment on the thread so that I can send u one.. 😊
