I grew up watching Indian soap operas and recently my mom also watches Pakistani serials. In all of these there is always a love triangle- or a second marriage. (This is why I quit watching serials in all. Qubool Hai is my comeback.) Regardless of the fact if it was circumstances like Pregnancy or death or even a second chance at love, it is getting old. I won't lie and say I will stay with the show in a Ayaan and Zoya Marriage track or even a Ayaan and Zoya to Asad and Zoya. I honestly feel as if serials are taking this second love/marriage thing a little too far. In reality there are relationships based off of one marriage- off of the first love. I feel that showing Asad and Zoya only will really make qubool hai unique and attractive. Especially because the two have been shown together already. And to add on, the partnership of Asad and Zoya would be really interesting leading to many other unique tracks as well as a friendship between Zoya and Ayaan.

By bringing in this love triangle thing the show/shows state the fact that in life there is always a second marriage- a second chance at love. Also I just won't be able to stomach Ayaan and Zoya.

**Just my thoughts- don't wish to insult, upset or argue with anyone- In advance though- sorry! **

You don't have to apologize for expressing your opinions. These soaps are like reading a book. Lot of people stop at the middle if they don't like what they are reading or skip chapters. What one person likes need not be liked by other and vice versa. I don't like love triangles either and I won't be able to watch Ayaan and Zoya not because I have something against those two but for the reason that if it is not going to work out and then comes another zoya and asad track, I won't be able to take it. Life is much harder for a single person I understand, but I feel it is harder to let go of your past and move on with another man. That is even more difficult in my opinion.

I really want to be open-minded about a possible love-triangle. But right now, I'm really not able to do it. I just can't see Ayaan and Zoya together. They're both so immature right now. They both need someone more stable to handle them. One thing I hate about shows that focus on kismet/destiny/fate is that people are always shown to accept their destiny and never fight for what they want. If you're in love, you will fight for that person no matter what. Sacrificing is always the solution on shows but in reality, it's the stupidest thing to do because nobody's going to be happy that way.

It's been done to death on so many television shows already, especially Indian ones! I thought Dil Mil Gaye would be an exception and Armaan and Riddhima would fight against all odds to be together. But even there, they introduced a triangle. I agree that triangles are inevitable in some cases, but it's nice to see a plain and simple love story without anybody interfering. Because that does happen normally too!

And I love Humaira and Ayaan too much to want a triangle to happen. Just little things they do makes me go "Awww"! Humaira just said "Abu" when her father was about to hit Ayaan but that one word was so powerful in that scene. Nobody ever dares to speak up against him and little Humaira tried to defend Ayaan. They have incredible potential as a couple because childhood love is such a pure, beautiful thing. If they spent time focusing on two love stories separately, I think it would make a much better storyline than this whole marrying one brother, then divorcing him and then marrying the next one. It just something that's not real. If I got married to some man and then I divorced him, I would probably not marry his brother.

Just because some dramas have love triangles does not justify this one and make it OK for a woman to sleep with two brothers while both of them are alive. I don't like these Twilight and Vampire Diaries teen stuff and certainly don't want to see such unoriginal ideas on this show. I don't care for a romance where a woman is in love with two brother WHILE both are still ALIVE. In a lot of the examples you have given, one of the guys actually died.

Unfortunately your arguments are weak.

Anyways, Rashid left Dilshaad for Shireen. At that point, the most practical thing to do for Dilshaad is to cut him off cleanly. Don't tell me it is not possible when you are in love. If you still love a person after he or she cheated on you, humiliated you, then I don't call that love. I call that stupidity. In those lines, whatever examples you gave, the woman was left with no choice but to choose someone else. They didn't do it when the other person was alive and in front of them, so those are not really comparable to this story where all three of them are alive in my opinion.
Let's say Zoya and Ayaan fall for each other and get married. Then it won't work out so they get a divorce. I can live with that. People do fall in and out of love and marriage. But, I cannot digest if he makes Asad marry her with a goal of making them get a divorce so that he can get her back. It is 21st century. These characters have been shown to be liberated ones, not that orthodox.
I used to read redux of IPKKND and there people would decode every scene, positioning of the things in a room and the dialogues. I don't believe in it anymore since the story is written based on public feedback, TRP and availability of the actors and actresses in these soaps.
So, Ayaan's saying that a girl will come in between them might be true in the sense of just infatuation from his side.
My experience from these stories, opposites attract and Zoya and Ayaan are very similar in almost everything. That was very clearly visible in yesterday's episode when Ayaan stood up for Asad.
And zoya's BIL's saying that Marriage is everything to Zoya. Once married, she will do whatever is needed to make it work. If that dialogues is going to stick around, there is no way she will let Ayaan divorce her - that is if the director doesn't use the talkh talakh thing and go for the court route.

Just my 2 cents.

OR have sex with both brothers while both are alive. That's just weird.

I really don't think Zoya's going to be as confused as Elena is from Vampire Diaries, a la be in love with both brothers at the same time and is torn between them.

It'll be more like Twilight where she is truly in love with Edward but has feelings for Jacob that don't compare to what she feels for Edward. And these feelings come because of a temporary separation from Edward (aka Asad), who rejects her. (Side note: I never in my wildest dreams would have compared QH with Twilight and now that I am I realize there are actually some similarities lol.) But she always always only loved Edward.

Similarly, Zoya will be rejected by Asad and that's when Ayaan will come into the picture, who'll give her the love that Asad didnt want to. She'll turn to Ayan for support. In many ways he will be her rebound. She'll care for Ayan and have superficial feelings for him. But their marriage will only cause her and Asad to become closer and stronger.
I think Zoya's ultimate decision on who to choose will be between love and commitment. Not love and love.

Au contraire...love triangles are so cliched...every ekta kapoor serial has this track where the hero and heroine get separated and the woman or the man marries another for what ever reasons...And then they keep swapping husbands and wives back and forth...Its so boring.

BTW you said that you want a female lead who for once marries another for personal reasons and dont always sacrifice...well ekta has shown characters

Purvi from pavitra rishta has done both...she sacrificed her love for her sis...but then married another man for practical reasons..ie being an unwed mother...

There was a character called nimmo who married a guy with contract marriage for money...then fell in love with him...

There is madhubala in colours who liked and was engaged to mukhund but married Rk...for 40 lakhs...for her fathers treatment

Its all been done to death...itna ki uski astiyaan bhi nahi milegi...

The reason people love 4 lions ka lead pairs...is simple.. because for once..in television history...we see a couple who dont compromise or sacrifice their relationship for anything...they stand by each other no matter what...like soul mates...they might hate each other(khushi arnav)..or by being together they might practically destroy each others family (geet -maan/ by being with geet ,maan sent his own brother to jail) And as long as they are together they dont let anything or anyone stand in their way...their bond is so strong...that even death cant separate them...
thats 4lions usp...and why people go crazy for their lead pairs...
We love watching such bonds...because such bonds are very rare in real life...

I know qubool hai is about accepting ones fate ...but there is a second line too
aapni chahat ko aapnani ki taaqat dena...meaning give me strength to accept my love...no matter how different or unexpected the person whom i love is...love is blind...zoya is not asad's idea of a partner...and Asad is definitely not zoya's dream prince...the line is for them to accept each other no matter how different their ideals are...
the line about accepting destiny is also apt for asya ...gul has already given the sign that they are each others destiny...remember the shooting star incident...shooting stars are symbolic in matter of soulmate...
So i hope that Gul maintains her usp here too...inspite of everything if asad and zoya stand with each other ...ie no matter of their own personal differences, asad's disbelief in love...and his lack of faith in Zoya...ayaans feelings for zoya...the hatred between the families...zoya's father's disapproval and hatred of asad (in case mamujaan is zoya's father). and if they stay together, inspite of all odds and instead manage to unite the whole family...

Then this would be a brilliant story...setting itself apart from its contemporaries

😆 Hey I never thought I'd be comparing them too, but everyone's references to the vampire world got me thinking. And it's actually quite similar to Twilight. Who knew lol. But it's only similar in the ways I pointed out, nothing more.

Bravo! I absolutely agree with your post. The whole love triangle thing has been done to death. The drama, in my opinion, arises if Asad and Zoya get together in so many ways,

1. If Ayaan does indeed fall for Zoya then the fact that two brothers love the same woman becomes a point of conflict and angst. Also maybe losing his love will open Ayaan's eyes to Humeira?

2. If Mammu is Zoya's father then it will a huge point of contention that she is in love with Asad. He would do everything in his power to destroy them!

3. Also can you imagine Asad finding out Zoya was helping Rashind...again conflict and angst.

Personally I feel there is more to the story if Zoya were with Asad. If they were to go the Ayaan-Zoya route how is she reuniting two families?
