This makes sense, I guess since this drama will show various issues and misconceptions in Islam...they will probably tackle the issue of divorce too. But I still wish there wasn't a love triangle thing thrown in this show 😆

Yeah its a bit far fetched for this generation to relate to. Even being muslim, many from this generation didn't know the law . Then for ppl like me who doesn't know the religion and its laws, can not digest this at all.

Makers should also keep in mind the demographic of their audience. As in its being telecasted in Hindu Majority-Mostly educated youngsters from India and not Muslim majority countries. The concept of cousins getting married only raises so many eyebrows here.😆

The first pakistani show I saw I was petrified that kids of biological brothers are getting married.

😆 Lets see if this is the storyline.

The husband isn't supposed to say talak three times in a row. This is a severe cultural mistake and distortion.

I went to an Islamic high school here in the USA and we had an extensive Islamic Studies class on marriage during 11th and 12th grades.
The husband can divorce his wife three times.

The first time he says "talak", then there is a waiting period, then they can get back together if eveyrthing is resolved in that period OR become legally divorced.
If they remarry or get back together after that, the husband can say talak once more. The same cycle occurs.
The third time he says it, after the waiting period, they can not get back together. The only way they can get back together is if the wife marries someone else, consummates, they divorce (for the first time) and then she remarries her first husband.
Again, you aren't supposed to say "talak talak talak" three times like that in a row. It's a mistake many Indian/Pakistani/Bengali Muslims make.

Women CAN obtain a divorce. Its called Khula. She can go to an imam/religious leader to make it official. Technically, she's "asking" her husband for a divorce, but when she says she wants a divorce, its called khula. He is obliged to divorce her.
In the case of khula, the waiting period is only 1 month. In talak, the waiting period is approximately 3 months.

This doesnt make sense. It wouldnt be the true reflection of Islam. Islam wont permit Ayaan to marry Zoya again after dicorcing her thrice BUT it also wont permit him to fix up a marriage because planned halalas ruin the purpose of halala and a nikkah based on the premise to just make the women halaal for her first husband is void. Also zoya appears to be too strong headed a girl to be shuffled between the brothers like that. That would totally be butchering her character if she doesnt voice her opinion on being passed around between the brothers like that.

I totally understand your POV :) I knew about cousin marriages and that they are allowed, but I personally don't like the idea, even though it's happened in my family 😆 I just hope the makers know what they're doing and of they're gonna bring up such sensitive topics then they'll need to be really careful of how they are going to go about with the concept!
