n u ppl r well aware in india if engagement is broken...u dont get another rishta!!

adi loves his mum his family...he doesnt blame pankhu but coz of a friend u cant hurt ur mum n give her pain!

its not a simple lie...n he doesnt hate pankhu but if it means meeting her will disapoint his mum...thn y...on two days friendship its not wise to hurt ur relationship wid ur mum...n her mum pain is right also!

I agree with you and I agree to some extent with Adi actions towards wanting to stay away for pankhu as it would upset his mother. I also know that he has no issue with pankhu aswell. But what was interesting about adi character is although he appears to be head strong on certain issues and kind of resents his mother, he also longs for attention and love that he missed from her as a child. I totally appreciate the fact that idle gossip and rumors that cause relationship to break are hurtful to all involved. My intention was not to minimise mamaji actions as what he did was wrong.

But what i was trying to say is i would prefer Pankhu to keep her distance and not try and solve the problem herself. I want her to focus on her internship and not on getting the forgiveness from adi and his family.
