Monsoon is a great time to be outdoors as nature is in all it's glory during this time of the year. Lush greenery, beautiful streams and rivers and dense foliage are some of the scenes you can witness, at these vacation spots. Pankhuri:

Kullu is undoubtedly one of the perfect destinations due to it's beautiful valleys and hills. Apart from this, you can also consider visiting Dharamsala, Shimla, Vaishno Devi or Kufri, which are located on the outskirts of Kullu. Himachal, famous for its lakes and meadows provides an insight into the ethnicity and traditions of the localites which is why it is a must see location.

Aditya:

Places around Mumbai are no doubt the best options to visit during monsoons. If you love sipping a cup of hot tea amidst raindrops or like eating at roadside eateries around gushing waterfalls then these are the places to visit. Drive to Malshej Ghat, Matheran, Lonavla, Murud-Janjira , Lavasa, Silvassa and you will be able to see nature at it's best. Also if trekking is your passion and if you are an adventure freak then forts around Mumbai are a must visit at this time of the year. Rains are rare in my part of the world but it is still a beautiful place. If you want to spend a royal vocation then Rajasthan is the destination to be. Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Mount Abu, Ajmer, Jaisalmer are places which will surely to take you into a dream world with all it's great history. Lakes, palaces and the amazing cuisine of Rajasthan are worth visiting and trying out.

This is the best time to visit Ahmedabad as it's neither too hot nor too cold. You can indulge in roadside foods and check out various sites in the city. Ahmedabad is full of parks, museums and lakes, which you can visit along with your family.
