Chapter 9

Morning, Glamour Magazine's office

Pia was late for work so she got to hear a lot from her boss Lucy. However as Pia had completed her work before time so she was saved.

Lucy: Pia today you have to go outdoors with our photographer and get the proper photos for your new article. U have got only today to complete all these.

Pia: ok mam, but where is the photographer?

Lucy: he is busy with another project now, you go to the location he will meet u there. His name is Albert. Now don't waste any further time, the location is on countryside and you will take one hour to reach there.

Pia: mam, I am sorry but I am new here and don't know any place...

Lucy: don't worry about that company's car will drop you there. Now, get your things and get going.

Pia: ok mam! (she went out of the cabin)

Countryside, location for photo shoot

Pia was waiting for about half an hour but could n't find any traces of the photographer. Pia decided to call Lucy, but her phone was switched off. Pia "oh God, ab mai kya karungi, mujhe uss Albert ka number leke ana chahiye tha, silly Pia".

Driver: mam! I have an urgent work can I leave now?

Pia: how can u leave me alone here? Let the photographer come, then you can go!

Driver: mam look there, someone is coming, can I go now?

Pia: what if he is not the photographer?

Driver: ok mam I will go and check there,

Pia: ok I am waiting here.

After few minutes,

The driver actually did n't go to see the man, he only went ahead some steps and came back.

Driver: mam! The photographer is there.

Pia: oh thank god, ok u can leave now but come back soon.

Driver drove away quickly.

Pia went ahead and saw that a man was sitting beside the lake, he was wearing a cap. Pia "mujhe waha wait karvake yaha baith ke view enjoy koar raha hai"

Pia(touching his shoulder): hello mr. Albert what do u think of urself? U have become so renowned photographer that u will not value other people's time? Mend your ways otherwise I will get u fired!

Actually It was Abir who was sitting there. Abir was shocked to hear all these, but was quiet as the voice seemed familiar to him.As the yelling stopped he turned around.

Pia's jaw fell open as she saw him.

Pia closed her eyes and said to herself "Pia don't panic it's an illusion, he is not Abhay"

Abir:(confused) hello miss! What is your problem?

Pia (opened her eyes slowly, shocked to see him still standing there): I am sorry I mistook for someone else.

(She started walking.)

Abir to himself "today I will know the reason, why do I feel a connection with her? She was talking about some photographer, what name..Albert yes I got it".

Abir: excuse me, u were looking for me only, I am Albert the photographer.

Pia:WHAT?

Abir:why do u keep running after seeing me, that night also u behaved weirdly.

Pia thinking" jis chehre se mai bhagne ki koushish kar rahi hu, wahi bar bar mere samne aa jata hai, aise toh mai paga ho jaungi, come on Pia u r a brave girl, face him".

Pia: r u really a photographer? I mean u don't have that professional camera with u and your dress up seems so casual.

Abir thinking " she is not so dumb like other girls, kuch soch, u can't loose this opportunity"

Abir: Actually the camera on my phone is very good and besides I will edit all the photos on a special software,anyways that's a photographer's tick, I can't tell u.

Pia (still confused and nervous): ok ,now let's get started.

Abir(during clicking photos): u r from India?

Pia: yes. Where r u from?

Abir: I am from here only, but my parents were from India.

Pia: parents were?

Abir: they are no more

Pia: I am sorry, tumhe bohat yaad ati hogi nah unki

Abir: sometimes, ab aadat ho gayi hai and mujhme zyada feelings nahi hai, some people call me heartless.

Accha leave these, entire have we met before? Ya I remember, we met at that party and u were drunk, u were calling me by some other name...what was that?Why can't I remember that name...

Pia(nervous): plz click some photos of that place , be quick we don't have much time.

Abir thinking "why does she keep avoiding me, and why can't I read her mind being such a powerful vampire, kuch toh hai iss ladki mei, aisa lagta hai ke koi apna hai".

Pia: ok its done now I am going, where is the driver?

Abir: I can drop u..

Pia (thinking "no way, ab iske sath mai aur time spend nahi karungi".): I can manage

Abir: choice is urs, its getting dark and its tough to get a ride from here.

Pia: seems like I don't a choice.

Abir and Pia head towards the car,

Pia: I can't get it, being a photographer how can u afford such good clothes and on top of that a BMW car?

Abir(a bit stammering): its not mine, its of my boss actually we r very close so he lets me use all these.

Pia seemed unconvinced but anyways she sat in the car.

Pia: thanks for dropping me.

Abir: anytime.can I get ur digits? If u don't mind.

Pia: ok.

That night, at Pia's apartment:

Pia was thinking to herself how can the two of them look exactly same to same, even their way of driving is the same, Abhay also used to drive fastly her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of bell ringing,

Pia: who's this?

"Its me Zen, plz open the door"

Pia: how come u r here?

Zen: I collected ur address from the office.

Pia: oh plz come in!

Zen: I hope u don't mind actually I have been thrown out of my apartment for not being able to pay the rent on time, I don't have a place to stay for the night.

Pia: Don't worry u can stay with me,I have an extra room and I stay alone here,So It will be nice for me if someone stays with me,

Zen (hugged her.): OMG! Thanks for being such a sweetheart,

Pia(smiling): Its not a problem.

After sometimes,

Zen:thanks Pia, u know I was so heartbroken today,Aj mere birthday ke din unlogo nei mujhe ghar se nikal dia.

Pia: its ur birthday? Happy Birthday!we should celebrate it, come on yar don't be sad .

Zen: ok, lets hit on a nightclub

Pia: umm not sure, I have never been to a nightclub before.

Zen: wow! Then u must visit this place its really fun..plz lets go for my sake, its my birthday.

Pia: ok .

Pia wore a blue jeans and yellow top.

Zen: what r u wearing?

Pia: what's wrong with these?

Zen: we r going for clubbing not for work, wait here...

She went into her room and bought a short black cocktail dress with a pair of matching steiltoes.

Zen: wear this, u will look super hot.

Pia(checking out the dress): no way!its too short!

Zen (git down on her knees.): Pia tum apni new frnd ke liye itna nahi kar sakti, please besides no one knows u here and we will make it very quick...I beg of u.

Pia: what r u doing get up.

Zen: not until u agree to wear this dress.

Pia:oh God zen I am not so bold to carry out this outfit and these heels I will not be able to walk in them.

Zen: u will do it Pia and I am there with u. plz ya r Its my birthday,the thing is that u don't consider me as your frnd varna u would have worn these.

Pia: plz stop it, aisa nahi hai.Fine I will wear them, happy now?

Zen: yipeee! Love u yar.

Pia went in her room to change.

Zen called someone and said " kam ho gaya, now get ready for our 2^nd step".

At the Nightclub

Pia was feeling very uncomfortable in that short backless dress, her curly hair was straightened and left loose over her back(in an attempt to cover her bare back), she was adjusting the low neckline and those heels were not allowing her to walk properly.

Zen: don't worry yar, u r looking super hot.oh some of my friends are here, I will go and meet them, will be back in a while.

Now Pia was feeling even more nervous, though the lights were deem but she was feeling that everyone was watching her.

Pia thingking" I should n't have agreed to wear it, It feels so weird and this Zen ghar pe kitna natak kar rahi thi and now she left me alone"

"excuse me, can I get u a drink" said a a british guy, who seemed very drunk.

Pia: no thanks I am leaving now.

He held her hand"come on, I know girls like u come here for us"

Pia (was scared,she did n't knew what to do,it was a panic situation): please let me go, I am not like other girls.

Just then,she heard a familiar voice "leave her she is my girl."

Pia looked around and saw Abir. The guy immediately left Pia and went away.

Abir held her hand and pulled her out of the club.

Outside the club, in the garden

Pia: what r u doing? it hurts.!

Abir (pulled her towards his chest, with a very angry tone in his voice) what r u doing? I thought u r a decent girl but u...what r u wearing? U r looking like a s**t,and anyone in here could have raped u..do u have any idea?

Pia started crying loudly...

Abir realized that he was too harsh on her...

Abir(softly,cupping her face): Pia..I'm sorry plz don't cry Idon't know mujhe itna gussa kyon aa gaya..

Pia looked at his eyes and could not hold herself, she hugged him.

Abir felt a certain kind of pull towards her and he hugged her back, sheltering her in his strong arms.
