Abhay : This is for you, Piya….
The story in this show keeps running in circles. This show is blooper-special. Creatives write well only when they get risottos and red wine and not the usual samosas and tea. The show tries hard to be what it isn't . Every department ( except acting) screams IMPROVEMENT. And yet majority of the viewership puts up with different varieties of crap. Reason? The actors , the characters , their mutual bonding and above all Abhay-Piya.
What makes Abhay-Piya special ? Is it their chemistry ? Is it their picture-perfect pairing of two really good-looking people? Is it because they serve Mills and Boons on porcelain plates? Is it because they really are an exceptional love saga?
No. None of the above. Abhay-Piya are special because they are soulmates . They are special because they heat up your hearts rather than your hormones. They are special because they tell you that this love – the kind that happens once in a lifetime to two in a million – it transcends all barriers of life , time ,death and circumstances . Simply because all cosmic energies , all pens of destiny scream – YOU ARE MEANT TO BE.
This is what I felt seeing the Abhay-Piya sequence today. Specifically the round trolley shot with Abhay standing in the woods , holding Piya in his arms – both of them looking at each-other as though rest of the world had ceased to exist. Soulmates . And it hardly matters that they both don't know this yet.
Abhay , well, what more can you say about him. His selflessness, his heart thinking and his sheer ability to love with every fiber of his existence is what makes him special. He suffers , suffers and suffers. But he is never sorry for himself and even if he breaks down, he doesn't give anyone the chance to see that at the end of the day , he is just a broken scarred man. YET. He always rises to the occasion. His magnetism doesn't lie in his vampire good looks. It lies in his heart.
Today , there was no attraction , passion , or romance happening between Abhay-Piya. And yet the scene gets to you. Simply because it is deep, sentimental and has a strange pathos to it . Pathos that they both are so lost without each-other. While one dissolves in the dark, the other one finds the light around her alien.
When Abhay kneels down , next to Piya , you feel a tad worse for him. Yes, his resolves and decisions are strong but his heart? It pines for his curly head pixie. When he heals her wound and pats her head , you know that she doesn't need the patting an caressing. She is fine. But Abhay's hand lingers on – almost as if he is taking in the touch of the woman he loves . As if he is reassuring her that he was , he is and he will always be her angel.
When Piya opens her eyes in semi-consciousness and looks up at those deep ice-blues , the Piya Jaiswal is not shocked or anything. She is not even surprised. She looks at him as though Abhay has always been there and will always be there. She asks him a million questions but as usual they drown in Abhay's dominating orders . He looks like a hypnotic warlock who tells the babe-in-the-woods to forget everything. And then, the girl's timid statement shakes him and gets to you. How do I forget everything , angel , when I don't remember anything in the first place?
Abhay lifting Piya in his arms like a bruised flower and an entranced Piya looking up at him with her head resting on her shoulder . Well, the whole visual with the play of light and dark looked devastatingly dark and beautiful. Piya looked at peace and yeah, helpless. Its strange how Piya's vulnerability seems less like helplessness and more like surrender to Abhay whenever he gets close to her.
On the whole, the sequence , enacted and shot brilliantly just gave that epic edge to Abhay-Piya. The best shot being Abhay holding Piya in his arms – both of them looking at each-other and time freezing. The director and the lightmen have done an amazing job here. Kudos!
And , as I can see, many loved JEALOUS ABHAY. Haha, we know Abhay too well, don't we? Under all the maturity , he is a passionate man and possessive too. He used to burn bright when Piya hung out with Kabir and dated him. He never liked Piya's proximity with Sid. He never liked the attention that Piya would draw from other men. Admit it. Abhay is possessive and it is in his nature to get jealous at the drop of a hat. So, it showed today as well. Abhay hated the sight and even the thought of Jay touching Piya. He was furious inspite of 2.5 minutes of selfless lover speech that he had just given. Not his fault. The MAN in him loves Piya and saying that you will be happy to let her have another suitor and then, watching it are two different things. I mean.. COME ON. Abhay is a unique man but like I said , he has his share of flaws (really? ).
Abhay could not stand the sight of another man touching Piya . Then, I wonder how many walls and furniture he is going to break when he is back in Dehradun and has to see Piya surrounded by Jay and other men? Mind your temper , Abhay , at that time. Coz its gonna be a tough sight.
And Abhay , you are such a Copy Piya. Last time, just to know your truth , when Piya had set herself afire , she had said with determination – This is for you, Abhay. And today ,when Abhay realized that the wolfies are gonna have him for feast , he said the same thing – This is for you, Piya. Sigh…. Soulmates!
P.S- I don't think the wolfies are gonna kill Abhay rightaway . Jay wants to kill Abhay with his own hands as he had declared over the ice water grave. It is more or less clear that all this is the handiwork of Jay and his clan. Just sighting and killing Abhay on the spot is not on his agenda . They are carrying out an operation and its gonna be long. For all you know, Jay very well knew where Abhay was standing when he sped away with Piya on his bike. The dangerous part is that Jay knows Abhay is his arch enemy and has played his cards brilliantly. But…….Abhay has no idea that Jay is the werewolf. Too bad , Abhay.
Love and luck always,❤️
GOD bless everyone. 🤗
