<FONT face=Georgia color=#330000>I don't think it's just the Punjabi's becoming too modern it's EVERYONE but I guess we say punjabis because that's our community and we have been exposed more to Punjabi's than any other community😛I not taking digs at anyone here I'mgonna say this for everyone including me- I don't think it matters where we are born or when. The only thing that matters is whether we really want to get closer to our roots or not😳My dad came to canada when he was 6 and trust mehe's like a total white-wash while both my brothers are the same AND my sis as wellbut I'm like none of them😳I would say I'm morecloser to my roots than most of cousins living in India and other countries😛It all basically depends on WHETHER you wanna learn or not. No one can force you to learn neither can anyone force you NOT to learn😊The only person who controls all this is YOU so before blaming anyone else just look inside yourself first😳My mum started teaching me Punjabi even before I started Kinder Garten😃and I am STILL taking punjabi classes *balle-balle*😆I can PROUDLY say I speak punjabi with the least amount of accent and fluently read it as well😃although I'm still taking classes for the writing part😳but don't worry I'm working on it😃
<FONT face=Georgia color=#330000>Now I don't think being mordern is bad at all like I'm a VERY modern person but I also believe you should NEVER forget your roots😳I can be a full pind di kuri and then be a Canadian the next very moment😳😆
