Sassy, it usually starts with the sunrise and ends with the moonrise. In some religion, the women get to eat before sunrise. That way they don't have to stay hungry for more than 14 hours. But then they don't drink water also

But in our case we are not allowed to eat right after midnight so we have to stay hungry for more than 24 hours. I guess that's why we get to drink water and tea.

I don't drink tea or coffee, so I take a warm glass of saffron milk as we can't drink plain milk. White is not considered auspicious for married ladies. That's why I add saffron in it to add some color 😳

Ah ok, I thought it was the same type of fasting as in the Ramadan, from sunrise to sunset. , no drink , no food. Good to learn about KC.
