PV SS - Love's Fighting Chance
Part 1 - page 1
Yash had come home early. He has forgotten a file at home that he needed for his 4'o clock appointment. He heard the sound of squealing and splashing coming from the pool. He looked out and he saw the 3 girls having what was an apparently a great time in the pool. A smile graced his handsome face. It's been a while since he saw his princesses so happy. They were playing with a ball and hitting it to each other. Palak hit the ball to hard and it flew to the side pool.
"Oh my Palak is too strong and now, I have to get out to get the ball." He heard from their nanny of 3 months.
She got out of the pool and his gaze was riveted to her. His breath was ragged. She was wearing a 2 piece bathing suit. Her body was perfect. She had curves in all the right places. The fit of the bathing suit emphasised every curve and every sensuous mound of her delectable body. She bent to pick up the ball and his body had re-acted immediately to the voluptuous sight of her bottom. Desire coursed through his entire body. She ran and jumped back in the pool. The splash broke his trance.
Yash was not unaware of his sex appeal, as soon as he had reached puberty, girls had been throwing themselves at him. This continued even when he was married and especially now. He, however was only ever interested in one. They were childhood sweethearts and they finally got married when she was 22 & he was 24. They were madly in love. The only thing that made him happier than being with Arpita was the birth of their twin daughters Payal and Palak 2 years later. But his happiness was snatched from him 3 years ago when his wife died in a horrific car accident.
He could not undertand what was wrong with him now. He had not reacted like this to anyone in 3 years. In fact longer than that. After the babies, their sex life had not been what it was in the beginning. Aarpita was generally tired at night and he spent a lot of time with the babies after work and the need for the love trysts that they shared became less and less.
About 3 months ago Palak picked up a viral infection and was very ill. She fainted at school and was taken to hospital by her teacher. She was still there when he arrived. She was sitting next to Palak's bed with a sleeping Payal in her arms. Payal's body was still convulsing in sobs even in her sleep as she was so distraught about her sick twin sister.
"Miss Sharma?"
"Yes," she never actually met his eyes. "Thank you for looking after my daughters. I really appreciate it. I am here now so you can go home."
"If you don't mind sir, I'd like to stay."
She did not only stay that night but she was there immediately after she finished at pre-school every day. As he was at the hospital, she even took Payal home with her every day and looked after her until Palak was discharged from hospital. He was living in Mumbai with the girls, and he told his parents not to come as Palak would be fine.
Palak was in hospital for two weeks and when she was discharged, both the girls insisted that Miss Aarti go home with them. Payal who has spent most of the two weeks with Aarti was clinging to her and wouldn't let her go. He told them no, but they were so sad that both of them gave in. She made sure that they bathed, read them a story and made sure they were asleep before she left.
After 2 weeks of her essentially commuting between her house, school and his house, he decided to make her an offer. It was clear the girls loved their Miss Aarti and didn't want to live without her anymore. And the love seemingly was mutual. She had the world of patience with those two. She easily broke up their constant fights and kept them so busy with activities so that they were fast asleep in no time at night. They were the most precious things in his life and he did not see that they connected in such a way with anyone other than him, he decided to ask her to be their full time nanny
She agreed easily. He was surprised that her parents would not object to her living alone with 31 year old man and his 2 children. She explained that she was an orphan so she didn't have anyone to answer too. Besides he offered her substantially more than she was earning as a pre-school teacher.
She had always dressed modestly in wide kurti's and long pants or jeans. He never really noticed her figure. He would never have guessed that what he just saw was underneath. He felt like a dirty old man. She was his children's nanny and she was only 22 years old. No, no, he thought, I cannot mess this up. Finally I found someone that I can trust my children with completely. She loves them and they love her. That is the most important thing now. He just has to put that image out of his mind and things will just carry on as it had these past 3 months. Anyway, his heart still belongs to Arpita. She did not die instantly, they had managed to get her to the hospital. She had made him promise on her deathbed that he would never love another woman. His family thought it was unfair of her to make such a request but they didn't realise how easy it was for him to make that promise as he knew he would never be able to love anyone but her. He was a firm believer that true love can only happen once in a lifetime. Nothing and no one will make him break that promise.
