oh no not Ishita please! in trying to avoid one mistake in his foolish head Yash is committing another even worse one! I love that Aarti is standing up for the girls even to their thick-skulled father! I'm so irritated by Yash right now!

Part 5

Aarti was sitting on the park bench reading a book. The girls were walking with Ishita close by. They were eating ice-cream that their father had bought them. Yash had forgotten his cell phone in the car so had left to go and fetch it. Suddenly Aarti heard Ishita scream. Palak had gotten ice-cream all over her sarree.

"Be careful you little brat, do you know how expensive this sarree is? I have good mind to slap you."

Palak was now in tears and Aarti rushed to them.

"Palak baby, don't worry. Ishita Aunty didn't mean it. I am sure Ishita aunty can have her sarree cleaned. Don't cry my angel. No one here is going to slap you." She gave Ishita a scathing glare as she said that.

By that time Yash was back.

"Is there a problem?"

"Nothing, Palak dropped her ice-cream and is upset. Please will you get her another?" Said Aarti

"Ok, come sweety."

"Payal, go with your papa as well."

She turned around and looked at Ishita.

"Madam, if you ever raise a hand to one of my girls, I will not be responsible for my actions."

"Who do you think you are to speak to me like that? Soon I will be the mistress of the house and you will be out on your ear. And they are not your girls, soon I will be their mother. Now move along, I don't fraternise with the help."

"I am the closest thing that they have to a mother. And from what I can gather, you are not or will ever be a mother to anybody. I don't know if you are after the money, the man or both but you certainly don't have any intention of showing those girls any motherly affection. Till now I have been silent and tried to give you the benefit of the doubt. Consider this fair warning. I am still hoping that you can redeem yourself and decide that you really be a mother to them. Or if you can't then walk away from this relationship. Either way, if you misbehave with those girls again I will not stand for it. I will make sure that you never marry Yash sir."

"Do you really think you have that kind of power?"

"No, I don't have any power. I only know how much he loves those girls and he will do anything for their happiness. Don't underestimate that."

"You don't know me Miss Nanny. I am not one to mess with. You will be sorry that we ever had this conversation." The stared at each other, each with their own determination.

"Mummy, look I have a new ice-cream" shouted Palak excitedly.

She turned around and said,

"I see my angel pie. Now you must be careful with this one ok. Come give me an ice-cream kissy." Palak rushed to kiss and Payal jumped on the bandwagon and the 3 girls giggled.

Yash looked at his girls with the warm loving look that Ishita had come to despise. She had to get rid of this woman fast. She is not going to lose again. She had her eye on him for several years. But he was married to that Arpita. He was so besotted with her, he could not even see anyone else. Now it was finally her chance. She would have him. She would be Mrs. Yash Scindiya. This servant girl would not get in her way."

They soon left the park, dropped Ishita and came home. The girls still had lots of energy and wanted to swim.

"Aarti Mummy, please can we go swim."

"Ok, but not for long. Let's go put on your costumes."

"You must swim with us, Mummy."

"Not today, lovies." She did not dare wear her bathing suit in front of that man. Especially after everything that's happened. She would never have bought a bathing suit like that, but he dear shameless friend Mansi bought it for her. She always told her that she had a great body and should flaunt it.

"Please, mummy, please. Pretty please" they both begged.

Yash could not resist. "What is the problem Miss Sharma? Can't you swim?"

"No papa, mummy always swims with us." Said Payal.

"Then why not today? Surely you don't want to disappoint your girls"

"Fine, I'll swim but not for long. I have to prepare supper." She sometimes hated this man, she thought and gave him a stare that left no doubt to how she was feeling about him right then. She wished that she could slap the stupid smirk off his face."

She came out of her room cautiously, wearing a kurti over her bathing costume, looking out for him. A sigh of relief escaped when she made it to the swimming pool without seeing him. She took off her top and was about to get into the pool, as the girls were already swimming.

"You don't mind if I join you?

She jumped around to see him in his swimming shorts. She forgot about her state of near nudity, she was so entranced by his muscular body. He walked towards her, she could not move or breathe. He picked her up. She loved the feel of his body next to hers. Then he threw her into the pool. What a way to come out of her trance. She was so embarrassed by her actions and was infuriated by his. He jumped in as well. When he was close enough to her she said softly so that only he could hear her.

"I hate you!"

"I know. But both of us needed to cool down."

Nonetheless, the foursome had fun in the pool until it was time for Aarti to start supper. It felt like they were a real family.

Yash received a disturbing call from his mother. She was demanding that Aarti leave the house and that he should marry Ishita immediately. Apparently there were rumours about him and his nanny flying around. Ishita's family wanted to withdraw the engagement if Aarti did not leave and since they were an influential family, G3 would not allow that. Especially for this orphan girl that didn't even know that it was not proper to live alone with a man. But Yash was not going to be dictated to on this matter. The girls needed Aarti.

He agreed to bring the wedding forward though. He knew that Aarti would still have to leave then, he realised that she did not get on with Ishita. The thought of her leaving did not make him happy.

"Miss Sharma, the date of my wedding have been moved up to a month from now. I am sure you wouldn't want to stay on when my wife moves in so I suggest that you start making plans. I will give you 3 months' severance Pay"

"So you are really going to marry that woman. She is wrong for you and she is wrong for the girls. You know this and you are still going ahead. Clearly your daughter's happiness does not mean as much to you as I thought."

"My daughter's happiness means everything to me."

"Then you wouldn't marry her."

"Then who should I marry? You? Sorry but my family will never accept an orphan girl over a politician daughter."

"Yet you are rushing to marry the politicians' daughter to try and escape your feelings for the orphan girl. You two deserve each other."

"Don't confuse lust with any other feelings. After all I am a man and my wife has passed away a long time ago. What is your excuse? Because so far you have been pretty easy. Or did you think you could seduce me into marrying you so you would have access to all my wealth." He wanted to hurt her like she'd hurt him but when the words left his mouth he regretted it.

"Aarti wait!" she ran out of the house and he tried to run after her but Palak called and he had to stop. By the time he got one of the servants to stay with the girls, it was pouring with the rain. He took the car and drove around for hours trying to find her. To no avail. He reported her missing to the police the next day. He was beside himself with worry. He had to lie to the girls and tell them that she had to visit a friend that got sick suddenly and she forgot her cell phone at home. He prayed all the while that she was ok. He couldn't lose her too.

Yash said what? how could he? how dare he? I hope he does not find her soon so it torments him longer! she is only looking out for his daughters but he is too caught up in his denial of his feelings and foolish to see that!
