Friends this is a one shot written in bits because I like to type in here directly rather write in word and paste it in IF.
It may take me a few days to complete so please bear with me. People like to peek so I am going let people peek and give their opinion.
Here it goes. I need your support and comments both positive and negative.
Maya Bua
Believing she will forever be the childless widow Bua, Maya has settled in her elder brother Suraj Pratap Scindia's house as an assistant to his beautiful wife Gayatri.
Today she had set out on a tirth yatra (pilgrimage) to the 12 jyotirlingas scattered through out India. Today was the day after her widower nephew Yash Scindia's marriage to the widow Aarti Dubey. Bua was eating the simple meal of dal, rice, vegetable curry, and a katori (cup) of yogurt that she and her fellow pilgrims had been served.
Like the dal and rice, Bua's life was simple too. She had lived in the same house (her brother Suraj's house) since her birth some 37 years ago except for a brief two month period when she was married and had lived with her in-laws.
Bua at age 21 had been married into the wealthy Sinha family with great fanfare. Her happiness abruptly ended when her husband of 45 days developed pneumonia and died.
Bua was inconsolable. Bua's mother-in-law blamed her for her son's death. The agony and pathos of the situation was heart wrenching. And, after the 13th day of the initial mourning period, Suraj and Gayatri took Bua home with them.
Bua was consumed with pain and madness for the year that followed. Gayatri's 3 boys Pankaj, Yash, and Prateek played a major role in her emotional healing. She had great appreciation for Suraj, Gayatri and her nephews and was fiercely loyal towards them.
