I'm assuming Ansh will be the uniting factor in Aarya 's relationship... am curious about Yash 's reaction to Arpita especially after you wrote it'll be a surprise!

Actually Ansh is the reason they are together but Yash and Aarti just like in PV are naturally drawn to each other. The other thing is that Yash has always been a self-righteous person so he might resist in the matter of heart.

Caught up with all the updates in one go. Really interesting story. Loved each of the updates and the progress that Yash and Aarti have made to at least be on friendly terms. Fab job. Looking forward to what is in store next

Part Five

After the initial shock of seeing Arpita, wore off everyone welcomed her home. When Arpita explained that she was released ahead of time and she wanted it to be a surprise, Aarti understood Yash didn't know she was coming home. Aarti felt acute uneasiness and under the pretext of making Ansh sleep, left to her room. She always knew at the back of her mind that Arpita will be back someday and she had told herself she will face it bravely. One can imagine the whole scenario thousands of times in one's head, think of the right thing to say yet the outcome will still be different. Now the dreaded situation has come she felt a weakness sensation all over her body. Aarti couldn't sleep a wink. The thought of Arpita and Yash together bothered her. "Why did I have to fall in love with him, I should have stopped myself," she lamented. Well it is no use now, she sighed. She didn't remember the exact moment she fell for him, it was just the little things he did that endeared him to her.

She recalled one moment when she felt dangerously attracted to him. Due to her pregnancy she used to have hunger pangs at night. This particular night she felt hungry, went to the kitchen to search for food but there was no leftovers. She wanted to cook something but didn't want to make too much noise in the kitchen. She sat sulking on the staircase when Yash stumbled upon her. He took her out in his car and they searched a while before they found a place to eat. She ate like a glutton with pieces of food sticking out of her mouth. He chuckled to himself and then using his fingers removed the food. She rolled her eyes yet she felt something when his fingers touched her skin. Gradually he was all she could think of, she felt like a love struck teenager. "Stupid!... stupid me, why?"she said while hitting her head.

Aarti made a resolution not to dwell and worry about it too much since it wil not help. She got up the next day and pretended it was just like any other day and went about doing the same things as before. She didn't see Arpita at breakfast assuming she must be exhausted and will be sleeping till late. Vidhi was busy in the kitchen when Arpita came to get her morning tea. Buaji was passing by, shook her head and said, "Mere Bhagwan Ki Kasam, I thought prison would have tamed you but you still have not changed. Instead of lunch you are asking for chai nasta." Arpita just ignored her, took the cup of tea and drank it.

"Bhabhi, the one thing I didn't miss is her constant rant," she told to Vidhi after which they laughed. Arpita converse with her for some time and later said, "Where is Yash? I'm back after so long and he is not here."

Vidhi didn't know his whereabouts. Aarti then entered the kitchen, she saw Arpita and smiled at her. She smiled back. Vidhi then asked her, "Aarti do you know where Yash Bhaiya has gone?"

"Yashji has two important appointments, he couldn't cancel them last minute. He said he would be back before five," Aarti answered.

Arpita felt a bit weird getting info about her husband from her. This will have to change soon she thought.

Arpita got dressed and told Vidhi, "Bhabhi, I'm going to be bored waiting for him, I will meet my friends and come back before he does."

Yash got back home and Vidhi told him that Arpita was out for a short while. He decided to go and check on Ansh, which has become a routine for him. Ansh was on the bed and Aarti was playing with him. He made babbling sound which made Aarti laugh with joy. Yash stood at the door and watched both of them. Aarti was aware of his presence, she turned around and gestured to him to come. Yash was jolted from his reverie and went towards them. He slumped himself on the other side of the bed.

As soon as Arpita arrived she asked for Yash. Unfortunately for her, rather than Vidhi, Buaji replied her, "You should be at home waiting for your husband. It's only been one day you are back and you already mast with your friends. I pity you, one day you can going to lose your husband to your sauten."

Arpita just walked away from there, the elderly lady was getting on her nerves. She was passing through Aarti's room when she saw Yash.

"Yash, it's my first day of freedom. Come, I want to tell what I planned to do to enjoy my freedom, she said while pulling his hand. He followed her to their room. Aarti couldn't help but feel a pang of jealously.

After a week Arpita's parents came to visit her. They were thrilled to see her and were in the mood to celebrate her return. They wanted to organise a party and everyone agreed to it. They only had one objection they didn't want Aarti to be part of it. Aarti accidently overheard their conversations as she entered to serve them tea. Vidhi and Prateik felt really bad for Aarti, she was like family to them. They decided to discuss it with Yash and to their relief he was in unison with them. One word from Yash silenced Arpita's parents since they didn't want to offend him, he did sacrifice a great deal for their daughter.

They decided on a garden party. All were dressed to kill. The guests arrived and everyone partied hard. Prateik was busy with his girlfriend, Paridhi. and Vidhi loved dancing so she was on her feet dancing most of time. Aarti made Ansh sleep and then she joined everyone else. As she walked in, she looked absolutely radiant that she made a few heads turn. When she gazed the other side she saw Yash staring at her. She could swear he looked at her admiringly. Arpita was observing all this, she couldn't be more displeased. She decided to confront Yash. She sought him out and pulled him from the crowd and headed towards their room.

"What's wrong? The guests are here for us. It is not right to walk away like this," Yash asked.

"Am I missing something here, is there something going on between the two of you?" Arpita lambasted at Yash. Yash didn't want to create a spectacle so he took her into the room and closed the door.

"Don't be ridiculous Arpita, there is nothing going on," Yash said.

"Do you know how hard this is for me? Honestly, I thought she will be gone after she delivered her child but she is still here."

"I did wrong to her, I admit but I have been punished for it. I have been away from you, my family for more than 1 year. I wanted to start fresh once I come back but things are different, you are different," she added.

"Tell me Yash, did you have any physical relationship with her?"

Yash was silent. "Please.. Yash, tell me the truth. It is better we deal with this now than later," she grabbed him by his arms and shook him.

Yash hesitated and then answered, "Yes, we did. It was a mistake, it happened only once."

Arpita almost cried when she heard this but she was determined to keep Yash, "Ok fine, this is very disappointing to hear. Now, this is what you need to do?" she made the decision for both of them.

"She can't stay here. I don't want her in our lives anymore."

Yash nodded in agreement.
