Just saw that excerpt/interview snippet where Kratika said that she would love to work with KSG...plus more compliments, etc. This woman and her endless surprises. First compliments for Maan-Geet (and Gurmeet), now THIS.

My reactions: NO. Please no. *pause* Out of the current batch of male TV actors onscreen now, who would I actually watch a show for? None of them. I suppose Kratika doesn't have many male actors to choose from - perhaps she has a point. How sad is that! Maybe that might just result in KSG becoming a better actor, who knows? The Kratika jaadoo and all...*pause* I'd rather see Akshay Dogra with Kratika if I had to pick any actor right now since Mishal Raheja isn't on the TV scene. But no matter how many people Kratika ends up working with, Gurmeet will always be her perfect co-star. They were, are, and always will be a perfect match.

Kratikaaa, why are you so sweet?!

WORD Borna. Of all people, KSG? Why Kratika why? It's the second time I am totally disagreeing with this lady, whom I absolutely adore. Not going to delve much into how much Karan's acting doesn't impress me but I have to say, so what if he doesn't use glycerin to cry. His performance is far from soul-stirring and I would not be able to see him opposite Kratika. If anything, his performance would just take away the essence from the scenes ... Please Kratika, anyone else would do but not him. Please ...

Totally agree with you Borna, Akshay would be a better match, any day. Although I am not totally impressed with his acting, he is definitely doing a better job than Karan, IMO. And yes, Kratika won't ever have a co-actor better than Gurmeet and vice-versa. The sort of chemistry, mutual understanding, respect, camaraderie, friendship, etc, etc that these 2 have cannot be recreated by anyone else. Anyone.

I liked the way you two reacted on that interview..

I guess Kratika has different taste on choosing actors and KSG passed on it. Or maybe there's nothing more to choose from but only him..

Well, there's nothing we can do about it, but to accept.. Let's just hope for the best if that happens...
But her pairing with Gurmeet will still remain a history!

Regarding that interview snippet...If such a thing ever happens, I'd probably watch the show for Kratika's sake if the story and character connect with me. It's like what happened with PV, actually...Falling in love with Gurmeet-Kratika's pairing as soon as Promo 4 hit the air definitely helped, but that reaction of mine also definitely came as a surprise to me. If it could happen with G&K, who knows what else could happen?

It's not like we have a choice anyway when it comes to casting of actors - if they fit the role, then that's it and hopefully the producers were looking for appropriate acting abilities as well as looks - so whatever happens, whoever Kratika is paired with in the future, I probably won't mind too much. I mean, if I can watch her previous shows and find things to appreciate about the character couples' interactions in each of them, I'm obviously not averse to her working with other actors, since at least she delivers and does her job extremely well. It's all a matter of fitting into the character in such a way that the actor becomes the character.

At the end of it all, I believe that what the PV team has given us by casting Kratika with Gurmeet is a beautiful gift, something that has raised my standards regarding the way romantic love is portrayed on TV. Yash-Aarti/Gurmeet-Kratika fall into a category of their own because of the sweet, subtle nature of their romantic relationship. The 3 fictional TV couples that I love immensely are all ones where the phrase "love is in the little things, in the smallest of interactions" holds true...Each couple has a uniqueness, though, and each has made a place in my heart because of the way the characters were written and the way the actors brought those characters and relationships to life. Essentially, there's more than just a superficial factor behind my decision to watch a show for a prolonged period of time. Emotional connection and resonance are crucial for me.

As much as I love Kratika, I would still not be able to watch a show with her and KSG, and it's not because I hate KSG so much. I would just keep comparing him with Gurmeet and their pairing with GurIka, which would most likely happen if Gurmeet too is cast opposite someone of the same acting caliber as KSG, if Gurmeet decides to do another show after PV. And gosh, I don't want PV to end anytime soon so why are we even talking about this! =(

Also, KSG's roles so far have been those youth-oriented/M&B kind, something that I don't see Kratika doing because both Kratika and Gurmeet are beyond such superficial roles. These 2 have spoiled us to such an extent that I don't think I would be able to appreciate any pair just as much.
