Based on my observation and experience:

One Shot is a story which is completed in one update or posting. Epilogues are allowed too I believe.

Short Story is more than 2-3 parts but far less than a Fan Fiction since those can go up to over one hundred parts.😊 So basically I think an SS is counted as approximately 20 parts the most.
