Yes, Yash forgot his biwi's birthday and was unable to excuse this "mistake" on his part. So he became a Devdas for a night and ended up getting a lecture from Arti 😆.

Actually Riya - Yash genuinely did forget arpita's birthday. Remember the Scindias had been very anxious to get him out of Bhopal? It was precisely because her birthday was coming up and they thought he would - i don't know, go into depression or something. So the Delhi trip was a very convenient excuse to send him away from home that was filled with Arpita's memories.

And he really did forget - he had not set aside anytime to remember her or anything. And the fact that he completely forgot about it is what made him so distraught, so disgusted with himself that he drank like crazy.
