I mean I absolutely fail to understand why shouldn't it be given importance as it also shows one aspect of remarriage, adjusting to new in-laws and conflicts arising due to different view points ( in this case Aarti vs. Scindia parents)
I am actually glad that they aren't ignoring this aspect and jumping straight to the love story between AarYa as that would be totally unreal!
And what exactly is the big deal since they're not showing the saas dominating everyone, but the exact opposite that Gayatri is unable to control/dominate Aarti, and that actually adds some lightheartedness to the whole saas-bahu thing as one feels pity at Gayatri and makes her character sort of like a laughing stock!
