@Maham, @angake
Exactly, even I was wondering when I read some takes about there was anger in his expression but I could not find a trace of anger in his face. It was I thought like some kind of surprise, shock and disbelief (as you all put it) of what's happening. He didn't expect her to get panicky and worried and take his take his hands and start worrying and trying to soothe his pain.

See Samana, What I wrote about Aarti should hold true for Arpita as well, given his relationship with Arpita is deeper and longer. These two FBs clearly indicate that he is remembering Arpita now with context to Aarti...and not as a stand alone. I remember we discussed this a few days back... His biggest blunder is he thinks a second woman in his life will replace Arpita. He hasn't realized that the other woman may make a separate place in his heart and life, without displacing Arpita from hers...and that there can be coexistence. It's beside the point that this is already happening...and our man is fighting it and hasn't realized.

@Bold: Yes, but this is when he thought that PV meant getting a wife, a girl rather than a mother. In Aarti he has found someone who will be a mother to his children but NOT want to take Arpita's place, in fact she resists doing so herself. For now I think he sees co-existence of Aarti and Arpita as a possibility because his relationship with Aarti will be purely platonic, as far as he can see. And so she is not trying to take Arpita's place in his heart, which was his biggest fear in any case. He will continue his posthmous relationship with Arpi and Aarti and he will work on the kids together...so simple. NOT. 😆

Obviously when they start spending time together Yash is going to start enjoying himself with her, facing problems with her and needing her(as he already has in at least two situations). This and the fact that they are indeed soulies who are physically, incredibly attractive will start the fire that will unsettle Yash.

BUT as long as Yash does not have any overpowering romantic feelings for Aarti, I don't think he will compare her and Arpita because the question simply does not arise. It is only when the romantic feelings set in that he will fear Aarti taking her place and then will have to come to the realisation that she can have a different place in his heart.

On the other hand, this security is also what is allowing him to let his guard down both for him and Arpita and exactly what is going to allow and is already allowing Aarti to seep into his thoughts and feelings. So there are contradictions and entanglements all around! Yay for us viewers! 😃

She is automatically reacting after his hand gets smacked with the door. The adrenaline rush after the shock has left her with unidentified emotions. I think, it's an indication that if he gets hurt in the future she will care for him automatically. She has compassion in her hurt this compassion will take her to care for him one day, out of her comfort zone. What happens if he gets very sick, she will have to take care of him then and then I guess she will start questioning her feelings? Why she is always worrying about him, when he is not beside her?

So is it the very beginning of the long road to yearning?😳

Based on my interpretation that Yash and Aarti are true soul mates, I feel since Aarti came into Yash's life, she calls him to the other side of the mist. The other side that is based on reality. A reality that is a life and love that he can share with her, Aarti, and not a dream. I feel since Aarti came into his life, most of his dreams about Arpita is in connection with something that happened with Aarti. His rain apology to Arpita was after Aarti' soul called out to him when he saw her with Ansh. Then the dream with Arpita and her Kangan was again indirectly because of Aarti. The dream in the kitchen with Aarpita was after Bua put seeds of doubt in his mind about Aarti's maternal instincts. Yet, yesterday was the first time when Aarti herself or her physical presence brought him back to reality.

The way I look at it is its a way of two souls destined to be together finding each other. In this sense I feel Yash's soul is more 'lost' than Aarti's. Yash's soul is still traveling through the mist grieving for a loss but wanting something more tangible and maybe it is because he had a positive relationship with Arpita. Where as Aarti's soul has already done her share of traveling, maybe because of her negative relationship with Prashant. She now silently waits for Yash to join her, pulling him gently away from the dream that was Arpita to the reality that is her, Aarti. And I thought yesterday's scene where Yash slowly turns to Aarti without any other external force (like the Payal coughing) was just that him turning towards reality both figuratively and literally.

I know you said something to the effect that Aarti was already in Arpita and Yash's space. That is so true when you think logically. But since I am not the most logically thinking person here, I see it as Arpita has always intruded on Yash and Aarti's space at a soul level. 😃

Allright, i think I seriously need to get my head checked. 😕 And don't worry if you couldn't understand head or tails of what I was trying to say. 😆

@Angake: Love it...love it...love it. So much in line with our thinking that they are the ultimate soul mates and Prashant/Aarti were there for a purpose...the purpose over, they left. Prashant and Aarti had a very important role to play...they made Yash/Aarti aware of love and introduced them to this emotion... but they didn't tell them how to sustain it, nurture it, and protect it when they left. So Yash and Aarti's souls were lost, with no direction, and thus they held on to their memories, lest they be lost in limbo. And these lost souls have now connected...though they are still groping about in the mist of memories that you mentioned...but they are breaking away from that mist and turning to each other more often now. Yash breaks away from Arpita's reverie on his own to tend to Aarti...Aarti gives her silent support, giving him the space he needs now.

@All: About the precap, it also must be a shock for Yash to see the complete volte-face of Aarti from someone who cringed when he was 10 feet away to someone who comes rushing towards him, grabs his hand and starts blowing on it! 😳 Like I said, coming from a family where everything is dabaoed and everyone is encouraged to maintain an even keel and equanimous temper, he must be reeling with all of the emotions and gestures Aarti is throwing his way in a matter of minutes! 😆

He can't handle all the diversely impulsive reactions that Aarti seems to be bombarding him with. I see many amused and indulgent eye-rolls in our future when he comes to expect the unexpected from Aarti. 😳

If it weren't for their pasts and their PV I don't think these two would have ever shown each other the time of day. In their younger avataars, they were each to high strung and perfectly sure of what they wanted. They needed to be worn down and polished by their previous relationships to make them ready for this one.

And I don't think that Aarti is really any more ready for this than Yash is. Seeing how painful it was for her to kill Prashant tells me that she is not over him either. Though going back to him is no longer an option, that doesn't mean she has stopped loving him. She tells Shobha that Prashant had nothing for her, but not that she had nothing for him. So I don't really think she is any more ready. I think both of them are standing on either side of the precipice, with their backs facing to each other. But when they are not paying attention, a bridge is going to get built unconsciously by every day words and gestures.

The next phase will be to see what they do when they turn around and see the bridge.

I am so competing with you for insanity and utter whimsy today!

@ Samana, I completely agree, I think Arpita and Prashant had to happen because they made Yash and Aarti into the people they are today. And like you said if they had met 5 years ago, I don't think they would ever have clicked. And that brings me back to my soul connection. I think Aarti and Yash were meant to be. And this is the right time for Yash and Aarti to meet. And at this particular moment of time, I do feel Prashant and Arpita are intruding in their space. That scene were Yash and Aarti had their backs to each other so wonderfully captured how Prashant and Arpita were in between them. Yash and Aarti were so close yet so far away. Are Arpita and Prashant an obstacle? NO, in one sense that it is because of them that Yash and Aarti will be able to truly 'see' each other. But also yes in another sense that it is because of them that Yash and Aarti are going to have a difficult time accepting the true meaning of their relationship.

Our minds have so many layers created by our life experiences that many times it is very difficult waddling through them. And like you mentioned both Aarti and Yash are going to have a difficult time waddling through these layers but I see Aarti's success rate higher than Yash's and it may be because of the quality of the relationship they shared with their earlier partners.

Very well said Prashant and Arpita were there for a purpose and now its destined for Yash and Aarti to be the soul mates bound by whatever reasons they may choose to maintain with time they will be bound to each other and become inseparable. First the soul mate connection brought together by their children and by their mutual interactions which they cannot avoid and then the gradual changes in Yash and Aarti too.
Hope we get to see postive changes in both and with time a beautiful couple bound eternally by love, faith and understanding.

Prashant gives me weird vibes. Why did he leave such a beautiful wife? Is there a secret behind that? Is he bent the other way? His family disowning him, is there another reason for that?

@Angake: But I think they are carrying Prashant and Arpita into this relationship with them, because they are destined to be a huge part of each others' healing processes. And this mutual healing will be a big part why they needed a soulmate in their lives at this precise moment. So as much as Prashant and Arpita may seem like intruders, ultimately they are fulfilling the roles of bringing Aarti and Yash closer together and making their relationship one for the ages.

I love the idea that there will be a rebirth of sorts in this relationship because both Aarti and Yash have died metaphorically and are zinda lashes living for their kids. As of now they have both been through the worst experience of their lives and if nothing else, they are bound in this excruciating pain that nobody else around them is able to understand. So starting from nothing, they will grow together and in a very literal sense, "zindagi milegi dobara"

The marbles. All gone.
