Liked the episode today.

I knew there was really no way she could have told him the truth and in many ways its probably a test for their marriage to process that truth and move on. A totally unnecessary test but one nevertheless.

Yash totally took me by surprise. Here is a guy who cares a damn about what others think, what his parents think and what 'should' be done. He walks off to get his bride when he wants and walks back only with her. I am sure if she confided in him, her divorcee status wouldnt have mattered to him. He is already reconciled to the presence of another man in Aarti's life/heart. How would it matter if the man was dead or alive. The only material question would have been if she still wanted to get married. Of course the maturity of such a conversation would have obviated all the spicy drama so that was not to be. I know Gurmeet Choudhary is a very attractive man but more than his appearance it is the way he carries Yash that is so mesmarizing. In fact I dont think either of his parents take him lightly either. Gayatri would think twice before taunting Aarti in front of Yash. He was truly larger than life in those few minutes.

In many ways Aarti buried her past today. That's the reason why she isnt caught reminiscing of her first marriage. Its over for her. She is not mentally married to Yash but she will not look back for Prashant either. To me the telling scene was when the pandit says you cant think of another woman and Yash's thoughts go to Arpita - now Arpita is the outsider, the other woman. Its so amazing that the entire equation changed so quickly. The rituals were very beautifully done and both the actors breathed life into their characters.

Prateik and Paridhi looked very good together and very clueless. They are obviously young and rosy eyed.

The last few minutes were jarring in comparison to the rest of the episode...but thats telly world I guess. They need the trps to tell the story.

Today Dubeyji vindicated himself. He was blackmailing Aarti because he was desperate to get her married to Yash thats all. As Shobha said both of them would do *anything* to see Aarti happy. Its beautiful that the parent that was holding on to Prashant as a chilld was the first one to declare him dead.

bbbccc: Thanks. Yeah, it's very clear that Dubeyji's intentions are good and he focuses only on the final outcome; my only grouse is the medium he takes and tricks he resorts to to reach that outcome.😡 Oh, Gayatri is gleefully rubbing her hands and waiting to get her claws on Aarti😆

Aparna: What a wonderful character analysis of Yash and Aarti👏 Yash personifies dignity and honor...period. Aarti will get into this marriage with a clean slate now. It's like all her past memories with Prashant were put into the havan kund today. And now, as you say, the equation has changed. After this, guilt will always accompany whenever memories of their former loves hit them.

@Tarantulla, Aparna, is it? I apologize if I got your name wrong. Still trying to figure out who is who on this forum. 😆

I loved everything you wrote but particularly this para, that the reason Aarti doesn't think about reminiscing her first marriage is because it is well and truly over for her. She may still not be able to give herself to Yash emotionally or physically but she will not look back at Prashant. However, it killed her to declare Prashant dead. And I absolutely loved your take on Yash's thoughts. You are so right. In mere moments Arpita became the outsider.

I loved how both actors portrayed their pain today. Aarti was more overtly emotional and Yash's pain was not obviously visible but still so evident. He forced himself to go through the motions with Aarti yet remembering Arpita at every step. However, with each vachan he took he got closer to Aarti and further away from Arpita, It was all very beautifully portrayed.

And Dubeyji! This is what I am really loving about Mittals style of story telling. We all knew that Dubey was not as strong as Shobha yet yesterday we saw him becoming the stronger of the two in trying to get Aarthi do what he wanted. I thought that was quite a deviation from how he has been portrayed so far. Yet, today the writers provided explanation for that in that one scene where Dubey holds Aarti's hands and buries Prashant. I still find it unacceptable that he used the word 'debt' and the way he browbeat Aarti into agreeing for the wedding but I am more at peace with the father-daughter interaction that was shown. I am not justifying his actions but I now understand it. That is a fine piece of story telling from the writers. 👏

@Indu: loved your thoughts on Ansh giving his blessing to the couple. There is something about weddings that give you goosebumps. 😃 This whole week will be Aarti trying to desperately tell Yash the secret.

the wedding was beautiful 👏
Yash finding out about Aarti protesting abt the name-change, going to get Aarti & calling her by her name instead of "Arpita" infront of everyone was awesome and him wiping the sindoor off her nose ❤️
There were a lot of ups and downs but in the end Arya finally crossed the finish line...Now it's time for their journey to beging and i can't wait to see it all unfold 😃

angake, yes, I am Aparna. Thanks. The execution of today's episode was so flawless I could have believed those two on my screen really were in the situation they were in.

I think poor little Ansh has thirsted for a dad so much that he was ready to give his little approval (and beat Payal and Palak to it). Little did he realize, with his little gesture he validated all of the proceedings for his mom. For Aarti, Ansh is her life.

Yash has moved through the many stages of grief of Arpita's demise and that of his relationship that he is able to perform the last rites sadly but surely. Aarti is in the first stage of grief and kudos to her, she moved through it real quick. Its also wonderful how stoic Yash was through her wavering to say goodbye to her first husband..almost like get it done with, woman.

Dubeyji is human and probably has been beaten up by life enough to know that ideals alone wont ensure happiness - not the kind she has sought for Aarti.

@Angake: Aha...their pain...beautifully explained dear friend👏. The manifestations of both were such a contrast. Where Aarti's anguish was markedly visible, Yash's was more internalized. The only instances when his mask slipped were before putting sindoor and tying mangalsutra. The finality of the moment was enacted so beautifully by both the actors.

You know, while filling maang if the sindoor falls on your forehead and sprinkles down to the nose, it is supposed to be auspicious. I remember an occasion when I was newly married...I had to go out and was in a hurry. I got a little hassled when the sindoor sprinkled down, coz it would take that much more time to clean. I was grumbling and trying to clean fast, when my ma said, "You know beta, it is believed that if the sindoor falls down while filling, it means your husband loves you so much that it overflows down to your very being." 😃
