So true that open-mindedness does not lie in denying the evils of society but in holding them up to the spotlight, examining them from all angles, even trying to justify them and finally finding an effective way to voice your dissent and fight them. Aarti and Shobha, both very much women of today, are fighting for her identity and I have never seen such a subtle war women's oppression in any other show! It shows that women are not only oppressed through physical action but such harrowing mental and psychological manipulation and for one cannot wait to see Aarti put her foot down and say NO.
Poor Yash. I used to be really shy when I was younger and people used to think I was cocky and that is why I didn't talk to them. 😕 Of course Yash's silence is irritating but that is what makes him feel real and like someone we know, rather than an immaculate hero. Yash is not a hero, or a villain or an anti-hero. He is just a guy trying to cope with some pretty tragic things.
And finally, I totally agree about the CVs and their popcorn. 😆
I like how in control they seem to be of our reactions, the characterisation and the story. It is refreshing to watch a show where everything seems so well-thought out and calmly executed to get maximum reaction. I feel like I can actually sit back and be just a viewer for this show, rather than fighting for anything or with anyone for my daily due of entertainment.
