@Angake :Yup Shobha has definitely taken a very bold decision for Aarti and Ansh's future which needs to b applauded 👏👏...she knows Yash is the perfect husband material and father for Aarti and Ansh respectively and so she is so hell bent to give this marriage ...She does not want a second Prashant in Aarti's life and thats why she does not care about Yash ka family much but more about Yash with whom Aarti is getting married 😳
Coming to Yash and Aarti even though both r marrying for their kids ,but yes its definitely a bold decision take and also a bit of a risk because they hv not seen the future yet ...

Hi Angake. Missed you in today's discussions.

Agree with you. If I have to award someone with the "Strongest Person of the Show," my choice will definitely be Shobha. She has made two hard choices: First, when she turned her back to her only son in favour of the son's wife, only because that was the right thing to do. Second, when she declared publicly that she would get her DIL married into a good family and proceeded to do just that. She didn't stop to think that in the process she was emptying her nest all over again.

Yup, you all have these wonderful discussions when its my nap time. A woman needs to have her beauty sleep you know. 😛

You are so right about Shobha. I am looking at her also from a mother's point of view.

Whatever said and done Prashant is her own, a boy she gave birth to and raised with so many expectations. To completely cut him out that takes courage and an immense sense of justice. Also by remarrying Aarti off she is completely closing an avenue for Prashant-Aarti reconciliation. Yes, Prashant has someone else. But being a mother she would always hope that her son would turn over a new leaf and things could go back to as they were before Prashant left. Yet, she does not allow such thoughts to enter her mind and instead vows to find a man who would treat Aarti and Ansh with the respect Prashant never gave them. She does not know Yash well but from whatever little she does, she finds in him a strength and character that she does not in her own son and wants him to be Aarti's partner.

Secondly, when she accepts Prashant's faults in this mess, as a mother she would have to be questioning herself- where did she go wrong in raising this boy, in instilling in him the right values. In such situations its human nature to find someone else to blame and in this case Aarti would have been the prime target. Yet, she never does that. So every time she blames Prashant she must also be blaming herself for not being able to raise a child with the same values as herself and her husband. That again takes a lot of courage.

If you remember that scene where Shobha tears Prashant's and Aarti's wedding card into pieces and then hugs Aarti- I thought that scene was done superbly by Shobha. She looks at the torn pieces with Prashant's name on it and she literally hardens herself not to think about the loss of her son but think about Aarti's future. No matter how much she thinks she is giving justice to Aarti by marrying her to Yash, it still must be killing her to handover Aarti who her son married and brought to her house, to another man.

So that's why it is such a shame that she too is part of the divorce lie. In desperately trying to bring justice to Aarti she is heaping more injustice not just on Aarti but also on Yash because these two desperately need all the help universe can provide to be happy and she instead has placed such a big obstacle between the two. 😭

I was thinking about that colour combination of Aarti's outfit in this bachelar party ..its pink+green ..is it symbolic again ??🤔
During Ganesh puja Aarti was in light pink and Yash was in green and in this bachelar party Aarti's dupatta is pink while the outfit is green ...😳...Its like she is wearing a combo of both her and Yash ka outfit colours from Ganesh Puja ...the colour merging could b merging of both Yash and Aarti's thoughts regarding this punarvivah ..both hv similar thoughts when it comes to marrying for their kids or name-change fiasco ...so the thoughts match and so r the colours 😳😳

Both Shobha and Mr.Dubey deserve applause for their joint effort to get Aarti married to a guy who can give her true love, respect and happiness in life 👍🏼...
This time Dubeys r more interested in the groom rather than the family because they know very well that Aarti's real happiness in future will b with her husband and not family because when it comes to family ,even in her first marriage with Prashant ,she got wonderful in-laws but did it give her all the happiness ?? So thats one reason Shobha is so much into this marriage because she knows that Aarti cannot get a better husband than Yash at this point 😳😳

I'm jumping in in the middle here - I hope you dont mind :) I have a bone to pick with the Dubey's.. I know must be sounding like a broken record now, but how I wish they had been a little less submissive during the whole - lets get Aarti married process.. Yes - they had to get Aarti married, they wanted to right Prashant's wrong and while they have made the best choice in the form of Yash, I just wish for one second - Mr.Dubey- his first name slips my mind - had thought about the repercussions, like the worst in worst case scenario - which is bound to happen here.. For the thought of what the future holds for poor Aarti and Ansh makes me shudder!! I keep expecting that loud lady who insulted Shobha during Mansi's wedding will pop up some time or the other and do the big reveal..

That being said, I agree with all that you've said that Shobha has had to do/come to terms with over the course of time.. The scene yesterday with Shobha finally putting haldi on Aarti made me well up, she truly in every way is Aarti's mother, and how I pray and wish she never changes...

Please do jump right in sns23, the more the merrier. :)

I have more than one bone to pick up with Dubeys. Especially so with Papa Dubey (Satyendra Dubey). I have no doubts that the Dubeys love Aarti but for Papa Dubey, his wish to marry Aarti off was more atoning for his son's sins than anything else, in my opinion. My reasons for this is that:

1) He wanted to agree to Scindia's condition of Ansh not being part of the package. It was Shobha who desisted.

2) He was the one who readily agreed to and coaxed Shobha to keep Aarti's divorcee status under wraps.

Shobha too wants to atone for her son's sins in a way but I think for her first and foremost it is important to find a person with all the characteristics Prashant should have had but in the end did not. She has found that in Yash and I hope that Yash lives up to her blind belief in him.

As for thinking about repercussions, yes this is my biggest beef with them.

They of all people should know that time necessarily need to be a healer. They of all people should know how brittle relationships can be when based on such a big lie. I mean, Prashant and Aarti fell in love with each other still that relationship did not stand the test of time. Then how can they have such blind belief in Yash who they just have a gut feeling that he is a man of good character. How can they blindly believe that Aarti and Yash two people who are so broken will be able to face the test if the lie comes out. Shobha does mention it that Aarti will never be able to survive if she goes through a second broken relationship. Then they should have never ever have put Aarti in such a position where there is even a tiny probability of such a thing happening.

But all said and done I can't help but admire and love Shobha for what she must be going through with respect to her feelings as a mother to Aarti and her feelings as a mother to Prashant. Yesterday's scene between Aarti and Shobha was phenomenal. Their eyes spoke volumes.

@sns23 & Angake: This what I wrote in the AU thread of 20/3:

The Misunderstanding: Wow, that was a googly from the CVs. Aarti blows her fuse on learning about the wedding expenses, and her parents end up thinking," Thank God, she knows about the divorce thing." As the audience, I applaud this master stroke, 👏but at the same time I can't help querying, WHAT ARE THE DUBEYS THINKING?😡 They exonerate themselves thinking finally Aarti knows the truth. But in the process they are letting their daughter enter a new world with all her defences down owing to such a big cover-up and with absolutely no ally on the other side (presently). In plain words, they have left Aarti to face that music. I didn't like this. Yes, that's the gunpowder in the armoury of CVs for a future track, and I don't really blame them, but to me that puts the Dubeys in a poor light for judging the situation so badly.
