Part Four A

A bitter sweet re-union

"No,"her mind screamed.

Prashant and here?Back into her life!

Why?

Why had fate to be this cruel?

"How are you Aarti?"he asked her bringing her out of her thoughts.

"Fine without you,Prashant"she replied curtly.

Prashant sighed and said,"I want you and my son back Aarti"

AArti looked at him shocked.

"Your son Prashant?If you've forgotten,he doesn't matter to you anymore.Isn't that what you said,while leaving us?"she asked with her eyes burning with tears.

"Aarti,I am sorry.It took me nearly five years to realize you are the one whom I want."he told her.

"In case you've forgotten I am already happily married Prashant.And you know what?I am neither the nave Aarti Deshpandey who fell in love with you nor the meek Aarti Dubey whom you deceived.

"I am Mrs.aarti Yash Sindhiya,who has a man beside her to take care of her in every walk of life"AArti said boldly slightly amazed at her own determined tone.

Prashant looked shocked.

"Aarti,he doesn't love you Aarti,I truly do.It was your so'called husband who brought you here to me,remember?"prashant asked trying his last card trick.

Aarti laughed sarcastically.

"Maybe he thought that I love you still and you must've sugar coated him.But if he comes to know I loathe you,the Prashant beware!He might not spare a single bone of yours!"

Aarti said indignantly and walked off from there leaving Prashant flabbergasted.

It was true tht he loved Aarti and it'd taken him 5 years to realize what she meant to him,but he always wanted her to be happy.And if she was happy with Yahs,he would never ever come between them.

Sighing sadly Prashant made his way out of the park promising Aarti that he'd never be back in her life.

Yash sat at the steps of the temple-the same temple where he had truly realized what he felt for Aarti.

He put his hands into his pocket and pulled out his wallet.He opened it to reveal Aarti's photograph.

"I am sorry Aarti but I thought you would be happy with prashant.But remember wherever you go I'll keep loving you."

"You thought I'd be happy without you?"a voice asked from behind.

Yash turned behind to see Aarti standing there with tears rolling down.

"Arti,what a pleasant surprise!Where's Prashant?Has he gone to park the car?"yash said while masking his pain with a fake smile.

"Cut the crap,Yash"she said as she made her way towards him.

He stood up as Aarti neared him.

She tiptoed and gently brushed her lips against his and told,"I love you too!"

Yash looked blank.It took him a few seconds to realize what she'd actually said!

He cupped her face and said,"Aarti..I.."

Before he could complete,his mobile rang.

Aarti glared at him as he made a pleading face.

"Hello?"he said as Payal and Palak screamed into the phone.

"Papa,where are you?"-Payal.

"Papa,it is so dark in here"Palak screamed.

"Hello?Payal,Palak what is going on?"Yash asked worried.

"Papa,the power just went off.Ram uncle has gone to check the fuse.Dada,dadi,bhai,di,Vidhi aunti,Pankaj uncle,Prateik chachu and Pari auntie have not ye returned"Ansh briefed in.

"And?"Yash asked getting worried.The kids were alone at home and the power had gone!

"I have been trying to calm down my sisters but they are nowhere in listening.Where are you papa?"Ansh said and the line went dead.

"Hello?Ansh??Payal?Palak?"Yash said but all he could hear was a beep.

"Lets go!"he informed Aarti as they WALKED HAND-IN HAND out of the temple.

love you aarti... i was so apprehensive about her reaction. but u made her react exactly the way i expected...😊

loved aarti's confession by saying 'i love you too'.. that means aarti knows yash's love for her without his verbal expression.. this is sooo cute...

and the phone call...eee..grrr... what a timing i guess this is the side effect of PUNARVIVAH😆😆
