1) prithvi was in love with sanyo so much that he used to neglect his duties.-

Though it was rajput custom that they used to fight only during day, it was prithvi's fault that he did not think abt such a situation. And we cannot say that fighting at night was never heard of. Chanakya's artashastra describes this technique clearly to defeat ur enemy - "send one part of ur army to the enemy's camp and make them fight.. so that by morning their soldiers r tired. Then attack them in the morning with the rest of ur army"

3)Sanyo prevented messages from reaching prithvi-
This was one of the major mistake of sanyo. Prithvi agreed to spend one month with her(sanyo had forced prithvi to build a separate palace for her). It was during this time that ghori was planning to attack ajmer. When prithvi's ministers came to know that ghori was advancing towards ajmer, they went to alert prithvi. However sanyo stopped all these messages from reaching him because she did not want anyone to disturb them. Its true that sanyo didn't know the matter was of so much importance, but still she shld have known that for a king his kingdom comes first- not his wife. Finally chand had to tell to samar singh, n it was samar singh who was able to enter the palace n see prithvi. Though prithi arranged his army soon n went for war along with samar singh, ghori had advanced a lot inside prithvi's kingdom.

PRC's father Someshwar had only one wife...as per me(correct me if i m wrong )

He didn't get married to other even after not getting child for many years... 😃

well rash history sayz at age of 13 he married to gal cz of somiand it goes on n then afterwards he heard abt sanyo's beauty n wish to marry her he fall in luv with him after watching her painting she was also fascinated by his braveries n then he eloped her

to err is human. but to err and put the blame on others is even more human.
If a student flunks exams shall he blame 'Agatha Christie" for writing a gripping
murder mystery, in which he was so engrossed as to forget about exams?

the fact that Sanyogita was his last queen, speaks volumes about his love for her, coupled with the controversial marriage style makes
them a befitting couple to be targetted lest anything goes wrong. And it went....... PRC lost to
ghori who attacked him at night and offcourse sanyo is to be blamed for this for some unknown reason.
Though no one applaused sanyo when PRC won battles against Ghori after marrying her.

And I will not agree that PRC's love story is famous coz he was artistic/poetic types.
the emotion of love is not the sole prerogative of artists/poets.....it is equally felt by the
practical beings. All or most of the kings would have had a worthy love-life minus a controversial marriage style, and to an
enemy's daughter..... hence may not have become famous as lovers.

And history is generally written by victors.... so what better way to defame your lost enemy than to bring in his personal life in the bad light

I do not think prc was a bad king. But he definitly wasnt responsible one.. and I cant even think abt placing him in a league with other emperors ..

Its just that, I cannot symphatise his death/defeat, ignore his lack of care and put him in league with kings who took great deal of care just to survive..there was a reason why they did it!!

just my opinions .. didn't mean to offend anyone...

coming to debate topic - love is definitly not a mistake. but if chand's version true - then sanyo wasnt exactly the best girl for him.. probably he fell for her coz love is blind. and it definitly did not help.

and sadly if it isnt, then no one else talks abt sanyo ... no historical evidences and all..

when we agree tht Sanyo was not the best girl for PRC its as good as saying that falling head over heels in love with her was probably the biggest mistake that PRC did. Love is a mistake if it ruins you and love brought only defeat and death to Prithvi-Sanyo .

yup. It was. but then again.. if he would hv fallen for a girl who was clever and supportive, he would hv been very successful.

so i dont blame love... yes. but falling for sanyo was a mistake.
