i know my friend neha would be able to help you out a lot more with this as she has done pretty extensive research on chatrapati shivaji... but according to what i know of him.. unfortunately or fortunately, he ruled during the period the British decided to set foot in India and annexe existing Kingdoms. hence, a prime part of his rule was restricted to forcing out the British. The extent of his empire was not as great as the ones mentioned above... he was more popular for his bravery, courage, new tactics of warfare like the guerilla warfare...
there were many family politics during his time of rule too and sadly not many supported his struggle against the British. hence he came to be known more as a freedom fighter than as an emperor... but my hats off to this great great great soul... 👏 mine too
