Some information on Alah and Udal

Hey I have an interesting information about Alah and Udal:

They were very great warriors of Bundelkhand [a region in Madhya Pradesh is called so] my family is also from the same region so i know this

Many poems are written on them in Bundelkhandi.

like i know only one line-

warriors

Alah Udal bade ladaiya............

They built a temple in Maiyar of some goddess and it is said that their soul live in the temple and worship daily

no one is allowed to remain near the temple at night

There is a Akhada in front of the Mandir where the sand at night is plain but in morning it is all scrambled and just seems that someone did boxing on it. And in morning the souls clean the temple and also praise the goddess . There are fresh flowers on the goddess' feet every morning

My mother told me all this and we even visited the temple but that time i was very small so don't remember but would like to go there again

thanks for the info, glad to know that sagars are now again following the history and introducing real characters which existed at that time and not their fictational ones

thanks dear for this interesting info.Even I have been to Maihar mata's temple many times but never knew this part of the story.And yes,Bundelkhand region is a very traditional and beautiful region of MP so no doubt this should be true.
