Through good and ill fortune alike she has never lost sight of that quest or forgotten the ideals which gave her strength. We end today a period of ill fortune and India discovers herself again."
60 years on... these words still strike a chord in the heart of every Indian. And yes, India has discovered herself.. n the path she has to follow.. n she is striving ahead in that path.
60 yrs ago, everyone, every nation in this world were sure .. India will
fall apart, India cannot make it more than 30 yrs. How can a country with so much diversity become a nation state. What can be the binding force. A country with 10 or more religions, 100 or more languages, 500 or more different cultures. n above all trying to be a democracy.. impossible.But no.. we have made possible the impossible. With the feeling of being an Indian becoming a binding force, v have made a
respectable place for us in this world. "anektha mein ektha,Hind ki visheshta"
60 yrs ago, the tag given for India was "an underdeveloped country". but today, the tag is "Asian Tiger", lets strive hard that tomorrow the tag will be "An economic super power" On this day, let us cherish the achievements of India, analyse her failures, and decide her future. Yes.. decide her future. Being the largest democracy in this world, it is we.. Citizens of the Democratic Republic of India, who are the writers of her destiny. And lets us write in golden letters the Story of India.
