************************** Part 5 ***************************
Prithvi felt suffocated in his tent and went out through the back door.
Even Sanyogita who was feeling restless came out. For a moment they stopped, spotting each other.
Now Prithvi could not stop himself any more, from approaching her and continued walking towards her. Watching his action, Sanyogita quietly sat on the cot laid at the backside of their tent. Prithvi went and sat on the cot besides her.
Night became silent, allowing them to talk comfortably.
Prithvi: "Kaisi ho?"
Sanyo: "Thik hu. Tum??
Prithvi: "Bas thik hu."
Sanyo: "Tum yaha kyun aaye ho?"
Prithvi (looking down at ground): "Aage rasta band ho gaya hai. Isliye yaha rukna pada. Mein nahi janta tha ke tum yaha ho." He Looked at her. Her eyes were swollen. He remembered that sanyogita who was so cheerful, such a happy-go-lucky one. He remembered her laughter.
Prithvi (with concren): "Sanyogita, kya ho gaya hai tumhe? Aur tum yeh kya kar rahi ho aapne saath? Agar tumhe lagta hai ke maine tumhe dhoka diya hai, toh tum aapne aapko toh saaja mat do."
Sanyo: "Hum issi me hi khush hai." She looked at him.
Prithvi: "Yeh sab kyun?" ponting at her dress.
Sanyo: "Hum yaha koi rajkumari nahi balki ek aam ladki banke reh rahe hai."
Prithvi remembered their yatra and nandini. With Smile on his face he asked "Aapna naam nahi badla tumne?....... nandini."
Sanyo: "Nahi(smiling). Tumne aapna naam Lakshman kyun bataya?"
Prithvi: "Meri aasliyaat yaha kisiko batana mat. Hum ek maksat pe nikle the. Toh ......"
Sanyogita interrupted him and moving her eyes through his face said: "Tumhare bahadurri ke kisson par, aashram mein sari rajkumariya baatein karti hai. Bahot bada maharaj ban gaye ho tum, Prithvi."
Prithvi(smiling nervously): "Par abhi bhi aadhuri zindagi ji raha hu." Staring in her eyes. She saw pain in those eyes and got lost in them. Then suddenly she thought is this the same prithvi who was about ot kill her dad for throne?
Some weird thought came in Prithvi's mind too.
Prithvi: "...... par ab than li hai (proudly)...... sare jajbaad ko mita ke, rishte natoon ko bhula ke, ek sachhe raja ki tarah jina hai. Mujhe abhi bhi aapne Delhi ke faisle pe naaj hai." His heart started beating fast. He doesn't know why he said this.
Sanyo: "Kab nikal rahe ho tum yaha se?" Sudden hatred filled her mind hearing Delhi's name.
Prithvi (got irritate and looking in other direction): "Kal subhe hote hi hum nikal jayenge. Pata nahi par ab dum ghut raha hai yaha."
Sanyo did not say anything for few seconds. They even did not move. Sanyogita touched her forehead where she got hurt. It was paining terribly.
Prithvi watched her actions and calmed down.
Prithvi (with concern): "Sanyogita, tum aaj ki tarah aaise kahi dur jaya mat karo. Pichli baar bhi tumne us sandesh ke liye bada khatra uthaya tha." Those moments rotated in front of her eyes.
Sanyo: "Pata hai Prithvi, woh sandesh tumhare liye hi tha." She said this with such an ease, as if she had always thought of telling this to Prithvi one day.
Prithvi: "Mere liye?"
Sanyo: "Ha..... rajkumari indravati ne humari sachhai usme likh ke tumhe bheji thi. Hume dar tha kahi hamari sachaai janke tum humse nafarat naa kar baitho"
Prithvi (In his mind and looking at her): "Aur ab dekho ... kaun kisse nafarat kar raha hai."
When she looked back at him, he said "Bekaar ke uljhan mein phasane ki toh aadat hai tumhe."
Sanyo: "Bekaar ki uljhaan?" Straightening herself.
Prithvi: "Aur nahi toh kya? Us din bhi ichhadhari gufha mein dhaga bandhna tha tumhe. Toh chali gayi. Naa socha, naa kuch jaana. Accha hua ke maine tumhara pichha kiya."
Sanyo: "Tum waha nahi bhi aate, toh bhi hum aapne aap ko bacha lete."
Prithvi: "Achha, Itne bade patthar sarka pati tum?"
Sanyo: "Ha bilkul..... tumne kya hume kamjor samjha hai? Aur waise bhi woh dhaga bandhana hamare liye jaruri tha."
Prithvi: "Kya hua usse. Jis ke liye woh dhaga bandha, uska saath toh tumne chod diya."
Sanyogita who was in the mood of quarelling suddenly came back in reality.
Sanyo (in her mind): Humne saath choda ya tumne Prithvi?"
Sanyo: "Raat bahot ho chuki hai, hum chalte hai." She got up and started moving. Prithvi remained sitted.
Prithvi (looking up at her): "Sanyogita..... Kya tum abhi bhi muj......"
Sanyo(sharply): "Ha Maharaj Prithvi raj Chauhan.....hum abhi bhi aapse nafarat karte hai. Aur ab humse tum baat mat karna."
Prithvi too got up.
Prithvi (in anger): "Thik hai, nahi karunga. Agar mere yaha hone se tumhe taklif ho rahi hai toh mein yaha nahi rukunga. Mera koi irada nahi hai tumhe dukh pohchane ka. Tum khush raho bas."
Again her eyes got filled with tears and without looking back at him she went inside.
"Iska matlab Lakshman hi Maharaj Prithvi raj Chauhan hai" Payal said coming out from the hidding place where she overheard these two. "Aur woh Arjun, Pundir unke acche dost..... ha"
She had learned from Sanyogita how fast friends they are.
Quietly Payal went to her bed. To her left Maya ma slept peacfully, snoring loudly and disturbing the peace in the tent. But sanyo and payal were used to this.
Sanyo was sleeping on her bed. Payal pretended that she was sleeping. When sanyo changed her side, payal felt relief, got up and sat thinking.
"Maharaj Prithvi raj Chauhan humare samne aaye, aur hum unhe pehchaan nahi paye. Kaise Pehchante..... kaise kapde pehne hai."
She looked at Sanyogita and mummered "Tumne bhi hume nahi bataya. Koi baat nahi..... humne aapne aap hi pata lagaya. Ab hum tumhe yeh baat nahi bataayenge."
"Tum kisse baat kar rahi ho?" asked sanyo getting up.
"Aapne aap se..... tumhe isse kya? Tum so jao toh." She got annoyed.
"shhhh..... dhire maya ma jaag jayegi." Pointing towards maya ma. Payal had observed many times some kind of smile on Maya ma's face whenever she was fast asleep.
Sanyogita slept again.
Payal recalled Prithvi and sanyo's conversation.
Payal (in her mind): "Prithviraj Sanyogita se abhi bhi pyaar karte hai. Aur sanyogita bhi unhe bhula nahi payi. Kya such mein prithvi ne isse dhoka diya? Delhi ke liye Maharaj Jaichand ko marne ki koshish ki? nahi..... Koi galat faimi jarur hai. Prithvi hume aaise toh nahi lage."
She again looked at sanyo who was sleeping facing her. "Humne tumhare hisse ki sachhai toh sun li, ab hume Prithvi ki sachhai bhi sunni hai. Kismat se tum dono phir mile ho, yeh mauka hum aaise hi haath se jaane nahi denge."
She again mummered "Shukriya bhagwaan, aapne hume ek aur maksad diya." she smiled widely.
"Ab tum has kyu rahi ho?" sanyo said opening her eyes.
"Humari marji!!! tumhe nind nahi aa rahi hai kya?" saying this payal got up, took the shawl and went out.
