...abt my opinion, I'll say ...lolz I don't know...and true, I don't know the actual History....but, as per the serial I'll say PRC was better in some ways & Someshwar was better in some other ways!....hmmm sounds quite diplomatic, right?

OK, I think PRC was a better king than Someshwar, as many times Prithvi seemed to be thinking in right direction than Someshwar, despite of Prithvi's young age & Someshwar's experience!....

.....but, Someshwar was well mature & experienced which had made him better than Prithvi in many cases....particularly in making decission as a king over as a person. I think, Prithvi being young & having lost his father, his strongest source of encouragement & wisdom.......has done few wrong choices as a king -

one is elopement, for which I personally don't blame him as GOD also wants that two persons in love should meet in life & thus, may be that was destined and that elopement incident led to prithvi's death finally .....and I am not sure how Someshwar could have advised Prithvi in such situation!

Second wrong thing PRC did was forgiving Ghori....at least he should have taken lesson from waht BD did to his father....and I think if Someshwar was alive, he would have surely advised Prithvi not to forgive Ghori.

So, these are the two important incidents happened in PRC's life that made Prithvi to die so horribly.....BUT, I think that may be it was destined so....I believe in GOD & destiny!

...thanks for your patience & thanks for the interesting topic Kai.....it made me think what I never analyzed😳

chalo my brains r at work

firstly, i don't think the real prithvi was anywhere closer to wht sagar's have potrayed...as the serial is based on PRC...they protrayed him as a far better king than wht he was.

secondly someshwar...too was a brave king..but there is not much abt him in PRC or in history book beyond he been PRC's father...as shruthi mentioned ...somi did not have to face the problems wht PRC had..if Jaichand did not object for his marriage with sanyo..the whole legendary swayamwar thing wudn't happened...even ghori wudn't have been successful....PRC wud have be live any other oridinary brave king..but bcoz his life he faced extra-oridinary problems like having ur father - in law as ur greatest enemy..he falling in love with his enemy's daughter...how he killed ghori in the end inspite of being blind 😳 ....+ chand;s raso..made him a legend 😳

Somi, smar singh they too were brave kings like PRC but they life was just oridinary as anyother ruler..no serial will be made on them 😳

cheers
❤️Kai❤️

u r right Kashimani but i think if somi was alive he too had adviced PRC not to kill Ghauri coz in those days if someone asks for forgiveness n shelter than they used to forgive that person even if that person's ur enemy. That's wat Somi did too n hence PRC too. Earlier PRC was against his pops for this but maybe later wen he matured, he understood all these things n followed his father's footsteps 😛

Yes, I guess, you are right Kai that Sagar's have shown PRC way too good! But still, he is considered to be unmatched in History for his fearlessness, bravery & nobleness all in one king....and may be, that's why he still is remembered as a Historical legend....despite of all the efforts of Historians to turn his image down completely.

...my brain is in full form now & all the way in support of PRC.....but I'll read raso as soon as possible (by Oct/Nov)...I really hope to still appreciate the warrior king - Prithviraj Chauhan!

i agree with kai...
sagars' version -i think somu was better...bcoz we saw him doing atleast something for the kingdom....
and prithvi:what to say about him...he has hardly been in ajmer to do something....apart from winning the war this guy has not done anything at all...lets wait and see if he does something for his people..(lets hope rajat does something as a king rather than running behind sanyogita...)

Lolz dear u cant say that he did nothing for his ppl. He went on that Khazane ki Khoj for them only n gave all the treasure to the needy ppl n that Koteshwar yatra was meant for that purpose too not only for him to meet Sanyo😉

....hmmm, may be you are right!

I think in History, this has happened again and again...if a ruler is good & following all the rules, enemies have defeated them easily by tricks & deceive!
