I know this may be like an EXTREME stretch..............and an EXTREME COMPARISION
but if any of you watch the show RAVAN on Zee TV....u can see that Ravan, .like Prithvi, was very powerful and everything was going good for him.......Like Prithvi, Ravan was capable of defeating almost everyone, in Ravan's case, even the GODS........but like Prithvi, he was a nice, caring, and basically benevolent person...who always did the right thing....and didn't abuse his power....(I'm talking abt Ravan as a teenager, not Ravan as an adult..obviously when he was an adult, he did REALLY bad things...)
Ravan fell in love with a rajkumari named Mandodari, and all the astrologers and such said that if he marries her, then he will become a bad person and ultimately die....They said that his knowledge and nice-caring attitude will all be possessed by power....and that the marriage will just change his behavior in a way that'll invite his own destruction....but despite all this Ravan still married Mandodari.....and let all of the bhavishyavanis come true.....
Im not saying PRC is a bad person, like Ravan, cause obviously he was quite the opposite.......
But, when watching Ravan today, I saw that Ravan is willing to sabotoge all the good in his life just so he can marry mandodari...he is willing to fight and defeat the planets.. ......and ultimately fate itself (he actually does all this in his life by the way)........Ravan is going in the wrong direction just because of Mandodari, his love.........this is wat causes him to become arrogant, evil, and ultimately killed....His downfall occurs due to his lover for her.....
Even though Prithvi's case is not this EXTREME.........it is still safe to say that Prithvi is sacrificing a lot of good things, just for Sanyo........bcuz of her, he's kind of developed an indifferent attitude towards his kingdoms........as we all no....this attitude is what made him vulnerable....and that's why ghori was successful in capturing him....
Even though both stories and characters are EXTREMELY DIFFERENT, you can say that both Ravan and PRC had the SAME TRAGIC FLAW:
LOVE
Both are extremely powerful and indestructible, but they both kind of write their own destruction. Both were told beforehand that their girl wasnt right for them:
Prithvi: The Bhavishyavani from that girl: (I think Sayalli)
Ravan: The Planets themselves.....lol...cuz he is planning to attack them....and make them under his control......(planet positions are what astrologers use to predict your future...they say that the planets all control a specific aspect of ur lives........)
Knowing that their relationships wont work out, both Ravan and Prithvi chose to stick to their partners and invite their own destruction....both kind of put themselves into destructive situations..........all because of LOVE..........
Just look at all the things love is capable of doing, even to the best of ppl: Bringing down a Kingdom (Prithvi), and converting someone from one of the nicest ppl on earth to well...the opposite (Ravan)
