Dharti track was supposed to increase the TRPs as it was full of PriNal moments and Dharti's antics but instead of increasing TRP has decreased ...0.5 is very low for a show like PV

I hope TRP increases again at least to 0.6 - 0.8

Sony either should change the weekend slot or promote the show

Once again a content oriented quality show is lacking in TRPs..sigh

Sony shows have traditionally low TRP. But lack of promos, spoilers and even written updates or news is seriously hurting the serial.

I am telling about Mrinal doing right or wrong but saying the fact. I am only telling that had it been Prithvi faking his love and on revenge plan then it would have more viewers. Mrinal is already having few haters on twitter. The proof is a more than a couple of Colors show one of which is always in Top 10. Yes Sony has low TRPs but does PV deserve 0.5 after normally being in range of 0.7-0.9? It's a fact that majority cannot watch a show where a woman is doing what a man normally does in every stupid shows.

@juhi it is a fact it would be difficult to accept Mrinal. If a man played a game of love it would have more takers but reverse is a bit difficult and still we should applaud Sony for giving the concept a thought.

Zee, Star and Colors are filled with such shows but they high ratings. Many times, even .Makers change the pairs. If the heroine is opposite a decent hero then viewers want the abusive hero opposite her do the makers do that. And if the heroine is grey or selfish then the viewers want the good heroine to be paired with the hero so the makers do that while turning the 1st heroine into a vamp. In this show, some people on twitter and at some other place already want PV with Amrusha as Mrinal is so and so and don't deserve PV.

The problem is there are many who are judgemental..it is very easy to jump to conclusions and give a judgement about grey characters and bashing them becomes their fav time pass 😆

I feel people need to be more accepting of grey and real characrers especially female characters..Mrinal is a flawed character like any real human being..In real life also no one is pure white..doodh ka dhula koi nahi hota 😆

See we can't be sure why the TPRs are low...is it simply because viewers are not able to accept a grey and strong female lead or there are other reasons as well like the weekend slot, lack of promotion or something else..when it comes to TRPs we can be never sure 😕

But yes viewers need to be more accepting of different concepts , strong and grey female characters and quality content.. this is not something new I am seeing..most of the shows that I used to like watching garnered low TRPs but were high on content

We blame makers for not presenting something new but what will they also do if viewers will keep rejecting new content and stick to age old cliche shows

First of all there are many factors that contribute to TRP
Like Slot, Promotion Viewers preference etc
As for as PV is concerned it's more to do with first two than the third
Many are not even aware of PV
as far as I know people who are watching it are liking it

As far a people liking and not liking a grey character
Depends upon every individual
Yes a female lead being grey is not common norm in Indian TV
hence it might take some time for people to accept it
If u say people don't accept and criticize Mrinal for being grey
there are people who criticize Prithvi for being good too😆😆
there are two sides to the coin

Also people will have opinion about any character
then what is the use of watching a show if u don't have opinions😆😆
just bcos they criticize a character that doesn't become bashing
then is it ok to judge/bash/take digs at people for so called judging of onscreen characters ,
This is more serious than judging onscreen characters😉
many people need to know the difference btw Character and actors
that's where problem starts
people might like Mrinal or not like her
People might like Kohsa not like her
doesn't mean they hate the actors
and they are free to like or dislike

now to the ratings
as a person who has followed PV from the day first article came about it
Sony has been always weird with PV
After first promo we had to wait for months for second promo
even after second promo it wasn't promoted
Real promotion started just a week before PV launch
to be honest that 1-2 weeks of promotion was really good
Slot was late for a fiction show that too on weekends
where there were top reality show clashing with it
but sony head kept saying that
they are giving their best slot to their best show
Once show launched there was no repeats the entire week
it had repeats only on next Saturday
which is super weird for a newly launched show
that too first show of Set Originals and to top it
Sony head Danish himself came up with the concept of PV
First week TRP was good, 0.9 is good for a sony show
still no repeats except for sat
still it maintained .7 TRP in average
then they stopped that sat repeats too and stopped promos
This is the 4th straight week that the show is going on without single promo
Last week even precap was posted by writer's galaxy handle and not sony handle
I don't think the TRP decrease has anything to do with the track
nil promotion is effecting the show and it's rating is decreasing gradually
Like some one said last week there was t20 finale too
God knows how that will effect next week TRP
and I really don't know the reason behind Sony's weird behavior
surely it's not just TRP's
Bcos PV did have a good TRP initially if not great

..here no one is talking about discussing opinions..obviously we all discuss coz we have opinions 😆

There is a difference between bashing in discussing opinions 😆

And yes people do forget that there is a difference between the actors and the character they portray 😆

Here we are talking about bashing and bashing alone

Yes promotion, weekend slot and many other reasons are contributing factors to low TRPs...as I had previously said we can never be sure what majority people like to watch or not..there is a lot of research thst goes into finding out the same hence we can't be sure of the exact reason for low TRPs..we all can only speculate

And yes people need to be more accepting of grey female leads , new content , something which is not run of the mill

Umm coz discussion was going on how people might not be accepting strong grey female leads and how on Twitter people bash Mrinal and that might be one of d reasons for low TRPs..and this can be very well the reason and hence that was in continuation of the discussion

Not sure why u took it otherwise 😆

Yes Sony needs to start promoting...PV should have been a daily is what I feel

As expected, good subject and low TRP.

I heard PV is a finite show. Maybe because of this, sony is not giving promos as good content have no elasticity.

On lighter note: The name "SONY" suits the channel (read the word in tamil)
