I hear you...and if Ganga was suffering an indignity and serving body and soul til death, I can understand your passion...but we are not there just yet...
I am with you all the way if this was happening or looked likelt to happen any time soon - but it doesnt to me.
Indignity to humans is a crime in any reasonable person's eyes Sathya - as well as you many of us would not tolerate it - however I dont see it happening as things stand currently
Your fears may well be justified in a bit - and then its appropriate to act. But youre jumping the gun here in my opinion in calling it human trafficking or slave trading just yet. I am on the the other hand waiting and watching before I make that call...
In my haste I used the wrong word - I meant to refer to forced marriages and not arranged where in the latter of course the individuals have a say.
Plenty of forced marriages continue to happen where the girl has no say and does all the things you mention above "serving body and soul till death .. sometimes in the field, in the house, sometimes assuaging the lust of the males of the house with no free will , no opinions , no financial independence.
Such girls will not necessarily have recourse to their families at all - indeed they may have been instrumental in making the marriage happen. However under the pretext of marriage, men are allowed to get away with these "indignities" and are not accused of human trafficking or slave labour...
I reckon P too doesnt see what you do yet - she is more concerned with preserving her established family member's rights as a wife and sees Ganga as a threat to thise rights...she doesnt see Ganga suffering or resisting in any way what is currently going on...
I'm pretty sure based on what we know about P and her confounding habit of not being able to resist a cause she would latch on to that immediately IF there was a need...
In my HO P ,too. doesnt see what you see...
