I don't know if Pratigya is "head over heels in love with Krishna" - given their relationship graph even the phrase seems out of place. But is she committed to him? As in "I'm not going to let this man go" committed? The answer is yes.

Also regarding this whole question of the professor's influence I think Pratigya's dependence on her family's opinion is not quite as high as many seem to think. She has ALWAYS from Day 1 held her own counsel. Of course she is a young middle class girl devoted to her family and very much perturbed with the way HER troubles have troubled them, but with most decisions she almost always goes by what she thinks. Her smooth demeanour with her family doesn't automatically mean complete compliance - she's a very opinionated girl and operates almost always from her gut.

Even taht great 'vachan' that the prof took from her (to not tell Krishna the truth about Angad) IMO kept Pratigya quiet NOT because she had given this vachan but because for once she was too scared to tell Krishna - she was afraid it would rip their relationship apart, she was afraid Krishna would hunt down that man and kill him. It highlighted her frailty - it made her a little weak.

As for Shyamji's opinion of Krishna, well I remember thinking that it changed the day he found out from Angad that it was he who had kidnapped Pratigya. He came home with his knees shaking and I remember him looking deathly white and saying "Krishna uske saath hai" or somehting like that to his family. Ever since then Guruji has never undervalued Krishna - he has always been grateful for a strong man who can protect his daughter. And it's not as if he has been either in words or in thought holding Pratigya back from the brink, has he?

Like many of you I don't like the idea of Pratigya receiving her father's blessing to go ahead and fully accept her husband. On the other hand, I seriously don't think Pratigya needs it or is going by her father's approval. Like Dyehard has said, Shyamji, Nainaji and Dadi were sooo happy when they heard she was pregnant - they were surprised but very happy. And it was only Arushi 😡 who was unhappy with the idea of PRatigya and Krishna together. The elders were in fact relieved. Naina has been telling her for a very long time to accept Krishna. So their opinions in this matter are quite redundant - Pratigya is quite obviously going by her OWN instinct in this matter.

Bubble,

They are worth more than that !!😛

Nobody is questioning her commitment....the day she realized that Krishna was not the perpetrator was the day she became fully committed to this relationship ....

Pratigya is NOT dependent on her family's opinion ...it would be vice versa !!..No Pratigya seeks their approval ..not their assent ..this is what I am trying to say in various forms..she wants their whole hearted approval ...that makes her happy..but even if she doesn't get , she will do her own thing ..but she wants their understanding ...and yest Papa showed his understanding ....

Shyamji's opinion of Krishna flip flopped constantly and he began to care about Krishna only after the Prison Confession ..and so far his regard for Krishna has maintained a steady course and Papa's approval has provided an added impetus for Pratigya and it has strengthened her resolve to fight for her love..

And it will be a fight ..Krishna may not be so willing to accept her statement so easily...he has been burnt..and he is going to be extremely wary ....it will take all her patience, resolve and perseverance to convince Krishna ..and with her maika supporting she will not be broken that easily ...

Hey Bubble!
Very neat and succinct, as usual! 😃 Agree entirely and would like to elaborate on the parts in red.
I am glad you brought this up, because it is something I have been thinking also.
Something changed for Pratigya after the adda-hollimoon. She suddenly discovered that she was far from being indifferent to Krishna. The reason for her anger was gone she knew that a 'real' marraige was imminent. But she was not up for it just then because she had not worked out her feelings and like I said Krishna always intimidated her on a Physical and Emotional level. (Can't blame her! 😳😆 He is a lot of Man for one woman to handle!
😉) So she was biding her time. And in the meanwhile she did not want to disrupt matters by telling him about Angad because she was also afraid that he may do something like this or kill him or something. That means as far back as then she did not want to jeopardize their status. Yes it was a bit cowardly and escapist of her, but just means that she cared about his reaction a lot. She has been on pins and needles since then, which just says the same thing about her caring for his reaction. 😃

What a wonderful discussion by all 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 I really hope someone from the creative team reads this forum and does not try to water down the potential fireworks when this couple finally get on the same emotional wavelength. So far its been Krishna supplying the electricity and now he's basically shut down and its now Pratigya's turn. When they both spark at the sametime 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

I think all of us basically want this couple's emotional journeys to be given realistic and robust potrayal. We already know Krishna is a very passionate character. I think Pratigya is also, although she herself may not realise it yet as so far she has been very reserved with Krishna. But the intensity she has shown in some other situations makes me think she will apply the same to matters of the heart between her & Krishna.
Kudos to Arhaan & Pooja continuing to keep us fascinated with their couplehood

Nice to read..and i want the same to happen to... I love this couple way toooo much!!
but is it soooooo strong as u put!!!
Hope u dint forget she was more upset on tha fake pregnancy becoz her sister saw in it the other way......
she felt bad that she had given ways to her family people to think ill of her by becoming pregnant....she was far more influenced by them..
so an approval from her papa shud really matter a lot for her.... she mite get rid of little of little doubts n guilt if any left in her...by her father's words!!
but n doubt she is in love with Krishna.....but head over heals love....????? time will answer!!
the day she openly declares Krishna is her world....(this is wat Krishna also wants) will assert this....her being discrete or she is too private and all doesnt asnwer much!!

Hami

she keeps a lot to herself and often finds an inopportune moment to tell the truth. I too don't believe she is in love with Krishna. It is mostly guilt at being the cause of his devastation. She apologized to him bec' she had to get over her own guilt first. There is no place for love when guilt takes over. She is afraid for him bec' of the state he is in . She also knows he hasn't been able to accept her explanations readily. It will take him time, first he has to work past the shock and then the brain will process all the stuff laid before him.

As bizarre as it sounded when she brought the aarati to him, he said when she does things he is overwhelmed with anger but once that burns off all he is left with is just love for her. The way he wiped her tears when she apologized shows that he still can't see tears in her eyes. That was his assurance to her.

It was a smart move on his part to leave and deal with his surging emotions on his own. His family and Prats were tearing him in two different directions. What is he to do? Tunna and Chandu are not the best people to talk to, their advice only makes matters worse. Krishna has to figure things out and cope with his feelings on his own. No one else can do it for him.

Even if he believes in her innocence after his Ganti Dadi assured him. he will question her true feelings for him. His trust in her is shaken and he may have a deluge of questions he needs answered. If she claims to love him now, he will only question her honesty. Remember he told her she made a joke of his honesty when he held a gun to her and fell apart.

Maybe a part of him can't believe that he questions Prats whom he believed he loved. Can't wait to see how he behaves when he returns. That will clue us in as to where they are headed. It will be a believable love story only if they work through the muck now and not rush things.

I am not saying that Pratigya will not do anything if her Papa disapproves ...In fact Pratigya married Krishna despite her Father's disapproval ..and this act of her's always played in the back of her mind .... she knew what she did was right and yet she felt she let her father down [ hence that , hamari wajah se apko baar baar sharmindgi hone padi hai dialogue] ..but today, shyamu by asking her to respect Krishna's love is finally telling her that he is not feeling let down ..and he wants her to be happy...his acceptance means the final restraint too is gone ...Now she can freely collapse in front of Krishna and open her heart out ...

I agree with ur stance that Shyamu does not understand Krishna and the same goes for Pratigya..although she is beginning to make an effort ...IMO ..the only person who has even a feeble understanding of Krishna's Psyche is Kesar !!

Dye,

U are correct when u say that acceptance shud come from within but it is also undeniable that ur near and dear ones too plays a important part at ur decision making ....what Shyamji words have made her realize is that yes !! Krishna has always supported her ..and she has not been that respectful towards his love ... sometimes we are so in the midst of things..that we do not realize the important things , it requires a peripheral player to point it out..And Shyamji did that yest ..she has made her choice and Shyamji words strengthened that choice ...😃

Enna Dye...Indirect-aa namma convo ellam Aruvai endru kindal panreengla ..😆 ...

😆 Not at all! I am enjoying myself hugely!

Yes! I agree that Kesar is Krishna's most ardent fangirl, but I think Prats has a more rounded view of his character. The good and the bad and the ardent!😳😳

Hey Mera..
she is surely in love... I believe!!
is her love so strong that it cud dominate and overcome Krishna's trance? is her love so strong-willed that it cud help her and in turn help KRishna out of his present pathetic condition??
these are my areas of concern!!
she knows Krishna will not be violent,...she is quite sure about that..
she should tackle him with outpour of her emotions n with her love!!
but does she love him so much from which she could draw her enuf strength to fight with his emotions...
she has to be tactful as she wud be dealing with his emotions n not physically..
both are waking on a razor's edge....wer treading along becomes difficult for even oneself,,,how will they manage to support one another?
my doubts were these!!
He himself is in a weird position now ...he wants to believe her but couldnt ..so he doesnt,,,,and
she knows this!!
Dyehard n Tanthya were damn sure n confident that she will do it,.. and that
she has enuf n more passion, compassion n love for Krishna!!
Time will answer!!

I may be one of the few on the forum who wants to see Prats earn his trust first. She has done things her way. As Krishna once said to her at the hollimoon....she gets on the ziddi goda and never talks about getting off it, but he can be even more ziddi than her. There is no love without trust. I want to see Krishna question even if not openly, her intentions, motives for wanting to make things right between them now. I want him to ask "why now?" Why after all these months when he declared his love and she gave him the run around with friendship first? I want him to question if she is doing this out of guilt.

Will we see the strong Krishna or a guarded Krishna when he returns. Given the state he is supposed to be in, on that bench, it's going to take a while before a strong Krishna emerges again. He seems lost in more ways than one, in the world out there and in his own head. Prats may nurture and take care of him, but then she did that for him when he was stabbed so that alone won't cut it.

Why is Prats like the weather vane? One minute she is crying and worried for Krishna, then she is stoic and quiet when Komal arrives, then calmly goes to see her Mummy Papa instead of searching for Krishna. Such inconsistent behavior. BTW, has she eaten yet, Krishna left more than 48 hours ago and she was concerned for him and refused to eat bec' Patidev may be somewhere hungry and lost.

Mera..
if she strives so hard to win back his trust..that itself implies that she has feeling for him..right!!!
and vice versa...
if she triumphs in winning his trust..that implies mutual trust n love...
fundamentals to any strong relationhsip!!
