Nice to read..and i want the same to happen to... I love this couple way toooo much!!
but is it soooooo strong as u put!!!
Hope u dint forget she was more upset on tha fake pregnancy becoz her sister saw in it the other way......
she felt bad that she had given ways to her family people to think ill of her by becoming pregnant....she was far more influenced by them..
so an approval from her papa shud really matter a lot for her.... she mite get rid of little of little doubts n guilt if any left in her...by her father's words!!
but n doubt she is in love with Krishna.....but head over heals love....????? time will answer!!
the day she openly declares Krishna is her world....(this is wat Krishna also wants) will assert this....her being discrete or she is too private and all doesnt asnwer much!!

Hami,

She was more upset when Aarushi questioned her intentions during the fake pregnancy ..but it was also the time when Thakur's and Krishna did not have any role in her life ...but now the tide has changed ..she has realised Krishna's depth and also has begun to respect him and even more importantly she is agonizing just thinking about Krishna's Plight ...in other words, Krishna has begun to take precedence and is on the ascendant , how soon will he reach the pinnacle of her heart and will he stay there ..that will be interesting to watch ...

Now her family will not matter much ...and slowly her Papa sphere of influence too may reduce [unless the CV's decide to alter the natural progression and go fora nosedive] ...and it will be and shud be Krishna and her ..

The time for open declaration is nearing !!😃

well said!!
@Tanthya -- Open declaration :-) waiting for it!! hope it happens..making things crystal clear from her side to the world...
but that mite again further ignite the fire of hatred in Thakurs' minds!! an eternal enemity!!

and after seeing how he supported them during that mooh kaala incident and even said sorry................

so he is just guiding his daughter which all parents do .............................and whatever parents do for their kids well being is appreciated and never branded as being selfish.......................

Nisha,

he is guiding his daughter and to me ..he is finally setting his seal of approval ...he has finally realized the worth of Krishna .. A major factor is his actions after coal painting...Any father will be very grateful to an individual who protects his daughter and prevents her loss of respect ..Krishna by his acts of telling of his Parents , supporting her in that hostile environment and very importantly protecting her in her hour of need [As Prof said , he himself cudn't even protect her ] has proved himself worthy of his daughter ...and when prof said that "Respect Krishna's love"..he meant it and it was not a filler words like the previous ones..and Pratigya too sensed it... and hence her open acknowledgement that Krishna has always Supported her !!

hitherto had u noticed, if and whenever Prof spoke disparagingly about Krishna...Pratigya would maintain a silence ...but yest for the first time..she openly said ..that Krishna supported me ...ALWAYS !!

I think this confession was dragged out bec the prof finally accepted him as his SIL !!

.............This again goes to prove that Shyamu's opinion matters to her ...at least for now !!

Hami,

It has to happen...krishna shud not settle for anything less than this ....😊..

The hatred is already at its peak ...No action of Pratigya/Krishna will mollify them ....unless some situation comes up, where Pratigya's education comes in handy and saves them ...then there will be a change of emotions again...but one thing , Hami...Shakthi and to an extent Amma will always be her enemy !!

Its for the uniqueness in their love I started watching this show,,
there were so many irregularities in their relationship....
the amount of strain she took to keep them in tact (she never wanted to let them go..)
and the amount of pain he took upon himself to clear them off were a treat....
and yes they ahve come a long way from that..for sure!!
and as for fear from her side, wats she fearing about? imminent consummation in her mind??
dont u feel she juz wants him to believe her as of now???

Hami! Thanks da! Yes of course we we will have to wait and watch. I don't know how thw track is gong to play out. When will they have the emotional showdown? At what point will pratigya declare her love? at what point will krishna believe in her love. Will these points coincide or be will there be a period of kheencha-taani? How will pratigya prove her love? When will the consummation take place? Naturally all this depends on many factors and production schedules and such things, so I can't really predict time lines accurately. But one thing is for sure that Pratigya loves Krishna at this point in time. And she requires no persuasion to be with him and nothing will persuade her to part from him.
What is she afraid of you ask? I think she may in fact be afraid of the intensity of their relationship and Krishna's passion which may ignite similar passions in her. And since she has no experience of such things and in general likes to be in control, I think the idea of it frightens her both Physically as well as emotionally.
I think at some instinctive level Pratigya has always been afraid of Krishna's passion, not an ordinary fear of rape or anything, just a fear of being swept away, out of control, out of identity.
Love can be very devastating you know, very consuming, and for people who feel very intensely, it can sometimes be frightening.

it could be that ..or she would be impelled by a strong sense of duty ..when duty calls ..Pratigya has never hesitated ....and as witnessed earlier, Pratigya holds herself responsible for Krishna's current mental state ..

dyehard, A little approval or disapproval will not sway her ..but it will influence her [although the influence is weakening ..but it still is there] ...on the other hand... a positive approval will make her cup of joy runneth over !!😃..

No !! Shyamu will not try ..he understands Krishna mental state too and will give some time ...only if the situation worsen will he make a move ....otherwise he will be quite content with his cuppa ..

.she is slowly but steadily taking the path of love towards baba😳😳

...She already is on the path of love ..😛

I am not entirely convinced with Prof. sudden respect for his SIL. I think he will still indirectly cause problems. I am surprised in all this that he has not reflected on his own advice which resulted him getting humiliated. He is to blame as well by advicing to keep the kidnapping quiet. What has made the Thakurs hurt is that the disclosure came out in a public forum without them knowing about it. For them they feel they have been decieved by the Suxsenas (not defending them, but just trying to understand their POV). As they are blood thirsty they react and respond accordingly.

I am not sure how they will go ahead of burning Pratigya alive after the election. Is Krishna going to stay away from the house till then? I hope not as they need to move that track forward. At the moment it is stalling. Also how long are they going to have Krishna in depressed mode? The Cvs need to bring him out asap.

I feel the direction is sorely lacking at the moment. Too much is happening at the same time, and unable to concentrate on one aspect properly.

Starlight , My lubbly Starlight...Thanx for ur commentwa ...🤗

The moment of truth ....dear starlight ..Moment of Truth...Prof encountered a moment of truth and unfortunately could not succeed whereas Krishna passed with flying colors ,I am referring to the coal painting..wherein Krishna succeeds in protecting Pratigya while Prof fails to save his daughter from humiliation...and in the aftermath of coal painting the flawless and refined behavior of Krishna has forced Prof to make a raincheck and eat humble pie ...hence this new found respect for Krishna.

when viewed from Thakurs POV...their actions are pretty normal .. and I am not blaming them..

The plan to bump off Pratigya is on..i think..it never was erased ...only the election is the inhibitor here.. and no Krishna long absence is not necessary..Krishna just has to step out of the house for them to kill her ...so it may even happen after Krishna arrives ...

I agree the direction is all haywire..they have to sort it out ASAP !!

I beg to differ !! Pratigya has been a daddy's girl..this was hinted again and again...and yesterday too if you watch when the father -daughter duo will be appealing for apologies..she will say "Maafi tho hamen maangni, hamare galathi ke wajah se aapko sharminda hone padi "...what galathi is she talking about ...?was it the slapping of Angad [but that fact has still not registered in her brain] then what else was the situation that deserved a an aplogy for the galathi "Surely not the coal painting"...in that too , Prof will insist on dropping her at her sasural ...the only time when she did not have whole hearted support of her father was when she decided to get married...

and second, when Krsihna asks her who loved her more ? she will say "Papa"

and also her breakdown when her father summarily dismisses her ....

Anybody's opinion does not matter to her, but her Papa's does ...

when her father drags her off after Havan fiasco... Aarushi asks Pratigya, that if SS comes to fetch her, she will reply "I do not want to go but Papa has said so , then I will have to go " instead of simply saying "I will go, or I won't go"

No ! Dye ...She is Daddy's Girl and yest approval was very vital for her to fully accept the relationship without feeling that she is letting down her father !!

Tanthya Tope! You say daddy's girl. And I say mulish individual. Nobody's girl.

I don't deny a very deep bond between baap-beti. Great love and mutual readiness to sacrifice for the other. But that does not mean that she is influenced by him for her decisions. She keeps saying aap gussa tho nahi hai na? but always does as she has decided. Naturally she wants not to be at loggerheads with her father, she is not some great rebel or anything, but at any point with her it is "Mann ki awaz". As for as apologizing to her father for all the trouble and humiliation that he has had to bear due to her life and affairs, Really if she had not, it would be shocking. In fact it only proves that she thinks of herself as a separate person and who should not inflict her troubles on her parents. Though I just thought of it as good manners at that time, because you mention it, I am saying that it is another instance of her independent nature.

Yes! Prof. has really come to a stage when he is ready to do "kanya daan" in the true sense of the word. He had begun this process even when Angad had started the blackmail thing. He feels unable to protect his daughter and wants a man who can, Who Will! His is definitely a selfish interest in Krishna; he really wants a strong man and it has nothing to do with Krishna's best interests. But can you find it in you to blame a father for selfish interests when any loving father will be the same? I certainly don't blame him even if I don't value his people-skills and IQ very highly.

But I don't think Pratigya's graph coincides with her father's in the matter of understanding Krishna. Shyam saxena understands Krishna very peripherally. First he thought he was a "Bhala ladka" then he thought he was a "Gunda-badmash" later he thought he was not so bad, now he thinks of him as a 'Good husband'.

Pratigya has always connected with Krishna at a deeper level. In fact though she started with misgiving and misunderstanding, today she understands Krishna and his complexities and intensity better than anyone. While Shyam is urging her to accept Krishna for her own good, Pratigya wants Krishna back because she realizes what she actually means to him and also what he has come to mean to her. SS does not realize that Krishna will go out of his mind without Prats but she realizes this and won't let it happen.

@Hami and tanhtya: I don't think that anybody has the right to dictate what happens between a Man and a Woman. How and when should be left to them. Nobody should require external-moral validation for an entire private exchange of the deepest trust. Not even one's parents.

Shyam may feel the urge the pressurize Prats into accepting Krishna to secure her future, (this is typical of parents) but Prats should only listen to her the timing of her own desires. I mean if all of Krishna's pressure did not do it for her, how terrible if all it takes is a word from Shyam. I would really hate that and going by how she has always done what she wanted, I think the choice will be hers alone. And she won't do it to make her future safe (what is safer than running the hell out of Allahabad!?) but to show her love.😳

Sorry, arthetena? Kya karein, control hi nai honda!

Dye,

How about Daddy's girl with strong mulish tendencies .....[I know u will not accept]..

I am not saying that Pratigya will not do anything if her Papa disapproves ...In fact Pratigya married Krishna despite her Father's disapproval ..and this act of her's always played in the back of her mind .... she knew what she did was right and yet she felt she let her father down [ hence that , hamari wajah se apko baar baar sharmindgi hone padi hai dialogue] ..but today, shyamu by asking her to respect Krishna's love is finally telling her that he is not feeling let down ..and he wants her to be happy...his acceptance means the final restraint too is gone ...Now she can freely collapse in front of Krishna and open her heart out ...

I agree with ur stance that Shyamu does not understand Krishna and the same goes for Pratigya..although she is beginning to make an effort ...IMO ..the only person who has even a feeble understanding of Krishna's Psyche is Kesar !!

Dye,

U are correct when u say that acceptance shud come from within but it is also undeniable that ur near and dear ones too plays a important part at ur decision making ....what Shyamji words have made her realize is that yes !! Krishna has always supported her ..and she has not been that respectful towards his love ... sometimes we are so in the midst of things..that we do not realize the important things , it requires a peripheral player to point it out..And Shyamji did that yest ..she has made her choice and Shyamji words strengthened that choice ...😃

Enna Dye...Indirect-aa namma convo ellam Aruvai endru kindal panreengla ..😆 ...

Most interesting discussion!

I don't know if Pratigya is "head over heels in love with Krishna" - given their relationship graph even the phrase seems out of place. But is she committed to him? As in "I'm not going to let this man go" committed? The answer is yes.

Also regarding this whole question of the professor's influence I think Pratigya's dependence on her family's opinion is not quite as high as many seem to think. She has ALWAYS from Day 1 held her own counsel. Of course she is a young middle class girl devoted to her family and very much perturbed with the way HER troubles have troubled them, but with most decisions she almost always goes by what she thinks. Her smooth demeanour with her family doesn't automatically mean complete compliance - she's a very opinionated girl and operates almost always from her gut.

Even taht great 'vachan' that the prof took from her (to not tell Krishna the truth about Angad) IMO kept Pratigya quiet NOT because she had given this vachan but because for once she was too scared to tell Krishna - she was afraid it would rip their relationship apart, she was afraid Krishna would hunt down that man and kill him. It highlighted her frailty - it made her a little weak.

As for Shyamji's opinion of Krishna, well I remember thinking that it changed the day he found out from Angad that it was he who had kidnapped Pratigya. He came home with his knees shaking and I remember him looking deathly white and saying "Krishna uske saath hai" or somehting like that to his family. Ever since then Guruji has never undervalued Krishna - he has always been grateful for a strong man who can protect his daughter. And it's not as if he has been either in words or in thought holding Pratigya back from the brink, has he?

Like many of you I don't like the idea of Pratigya receiving her father's blessing to go ahead and fully accept her husband. On the other hand, I seriously don't think Pratigya needs it or is going by her father's approval. Like Dyehard has said, Shyamji, Nainaji and Dadi were sooo happy when they heard she was pregnant - they were surprised but very happy. And it was only Arushi 😡 who was unhappy with the idea of PRatigya and Krishna together. The elders were in fact relieved. Naina has been telling her for a very long time to accept Krishna. So their opinions in this matter are quite redundant - Pratigya is quite obviously going by her OWN instinct in this matter.

My chavanni's worth 😊
